True to size, the lace style helps with loosening or tightening depending on the weight of the wool socks you're wearing. Felt super comfortable straight away.

Fantastic outdoor boots! I bought them for a trip to snowy Wyoming, and they're holding up really well. Stylish and comfortable, especially with my custom Wiiv insoles.

Not only are the shoes great to look at they are extremely comfortable- I how far have Lauren them as street shoes and even wore them with the denim dress ,have not yet taken them out hiking -there almost to cute ,but if they’re waterproof ...?who can’t be stylish and rugged ?

I ordered 5 pair of waterproof boots to see if I could find anything comfortable to wear while hiking the Camino de Santiago in Spain. These appeared to be the clunkiest so I hesitant to order them. In reality, they were the best: good support, not too heavy, and comfortable EXCEPT where I broke a bone in my ankle. I had to return them but I hadn't had this problem, these would have been keepers. I have a very narrow foot so I generally have problems but the lace positioning on this boot is unusual and it really helps the boot to fit well.

I just bought these boots for a 3 week European backpacking trip and I know they will be perfect! They are extremely comfortable, don't seem to need any breaking in, and seem very durable. Great purchase.

When I removed the insole to add my custom orthotics, I knew I had found the perfect boot. The insoles are actually stitched material versus the cheap paperboard that so many manufacturers use. This means these boots will hold up for years. They are very warm, comfortable and very cute. Thank you Zappos yet again!

I love these! I've always wanted boots like these! They are comfortable, stylish, warm, and waterproof! Perfect for the winter. I ordered mine a size bigger than I normally wear in TOMS because I wanted to be able to wear thick, winter socks with them, but I didn't really need to. I think my regular size would've been fine.

Needed a pair of light waterproof boots for a 5-day trip to NYC in December. I wore them the first day walking more than 10,000 steps in NYC and they never hurt. Didn't need time to break them in at all. Great all around boot and would recommend them for comfort as well as style.

Tom's Summit boot = Fun, cute, comfortable. I bought a gray suede pair in October 2016. These have become my favorite footwear. I have narrow heels and wide toes - the D-hooks help me get the right fit for my heel and ankle while leaving comfortable room for my toes. The stiffness in the ankle softened up quickly but has not broken down. I wear them with slim leg jeans or leggings and skirts as casual shoes. Comfortable and warm with a pair of regular wool socks on a typical Minneapolis, MN winter day (snow, ice, freezing rain). Great with regular socks on a warm fall day. The traction seems good - I've haven't ended up sitting on the pavement yet. I am thinking about a second pair....

Very comfortable and stylish. I usually wear size 6 in boots (anything with socks) but I got a 5.5 because 6 was sold out, so it is a little snug. I can still wear thin socks with it. Therefore, it is pretty true to size. It is very cute and stylish. The fact that it is weatherproof makes it so functional for the winter. I love that it is made out of leather. As always, I love toms' message of one for one.

I'm so happy I decided to add these boots to my cart on a whim before checking out- they are fabulous! They fit true to size with a nice sturdy sole that has already held up through one torrential downpour without any signs of water. The faux shearling lining around the ankle is a nice touch that keeps the warmth in. I ordered the black and love the contrast between the leather and the D-rings, especially with a pair of skinny jeans. They manage to be fashion-foward, comfortable, AND affordable- the trifecta! I have walked miles in them and found them to be very comfortable and not too heavy. The only drawback I have noticed is that the laces are not very long if you want to wear the boots a bit looser or double knot them (as they tend to unravel when knotted only once). Definitely recommend them

Love the shoe! Cool look and super comfortable.

I love the look and feel of these shoes, but I have a regular-width foot and these are constructed a little narrow on the bottom sole. Something maybe to do with how much cushion is there (or not there) between the inside of the shoe/sole and the rubber exterior bottom. I didn't notice it when I tried them on, but after wearing them for a whole day, you can feel where the exterior rubber sole goes around the perimeter of the foot. It's not uncomfortable per day, but it's an odd feeling at times when you are walking and you notice it. If that makes sense.

I loved these boots when they first came, but after only a couple of weeks of owning them and only having worn them twice before, one of the shoestring loops broke off when I went to tie them. These boots are too expensive to seem cheaply made.
