I wear a 7.5 and ordered an 8.5 and had to send that back. I ordered a similar pair of boots and purchased two sizes and had to send those back as well. Finally a size 9.5 came available in the original boot I purchased so I ordered that. I am keeping it but would probably have done well with a size 10 to accommodate a thicker wool sock. They are comfortable and warm but beware they run EXTREMELY small. I have not tested whether or not they are waterproof yet.

These are beautiful boots. And I could see that they'd be really comfortable -- if they fit my feet! They are extremely narrow, even with ordering a full size up. If Columbia is going to continue making such narrow boots (strangely, most makers of women's winter boots are doing this too), they should at least offer different widths so that women with less than narrow feet are served. If you find these boots to be too narrow, try Baffin or Sorrell. Although they don't offer a wide width (if you are looking for wide women's winter boots, you're out of luck), at least these brands aren't cut narrow like Keens or Columbia.

I ordered the Heavenly Heat, Heavenly Shorty, and Minx Mid, all very similar Columbia Boots. I really wanted them to work. They are super comfy - if you want a $100 pair of house slippers. First off, they're VERY narrow. I usually wear a 9, or 9.5 when available. I ordered up in size based on reviews and to make sure my custom insoles would have room. I tried 10 and 10.5. The tens would have been the right size in these but they were so narrow, I couldn't put them on. But while 10.5 fit my feet, they were too long. They have no arch support, which I was fine with because I was going to replace the insole, but they also have just no structure. They're marked as waterproof, but the tongue is only gusseted up to the ankle- so after that water is going to get in if you step in a slushy puddle. The final deal-breaker is that instead of speed-hooks to lace they have these tiny, fussy little loops of fabric you have to thread the laces through. If you ever have to go back out in the snow before they've fully dried from last time, it will be impossible any annoying to try to put on. They're all going back, sadly.

I wanted to love this boot so much! It’s beautiful and crazy warm. But even a full size up was tight and uncomfortable for me. I was also hoping to be able to wear these with my orthotics. But the insole in the boot has all the cushioning. So without it it’s basically just the rubber sole. So not so great for long walks around the city.

I wanted to love these, I really did. I ordered the black boots and followed advice to size up. They are well made, cute, and functional (I didn't have the chance to test these in the snow, but construction is spot on). The problem for me is that they seem to be really small. I followed other reviewers' advice and ordered a half size up (I wear a 10 so I ordered a 10.5), only to find that the shoes were really tight in the toes. So back they go, and I ordered an 11. The new pair came today and they are just as tight in the toes, but my heel slips up quite a bit in the back. Even in regular socks they are super tight at the toe, so I can only imagine what winter wool socks would feel like in these. I am sending them back, and wondering why the sizing is so odd. My favorite snow boots are a size 10 from Columbia that fit perfectly, so I was really disappointed that sizing up didn't do the trick, as I know they will be warm, comfy boots for those who can work around the fit issues. I'm also really bummed about having to pay return shipping twice for pretty snow boots that just don't cut it. I have to say, this is the first time I've been let down by a Columbia product.

Bought these Oct 2014, started off amazing - keeping feet toasty warm to point of sweating without footwarmers, super lightweight. By end of winter 2015/16 (spring 2016) was starting to notice wetness if out too long in snow. this year (winter 16/17) notice wetness along sole/upper seam even with short snow playtime and despite foot warmers feet get cold. only 1 yr limited warranty, so have to throw away.

This shoe runs very small. I am a size 12, average width, and could barely get my foot in the shoe. It very frustrating when companies make shoes that are not true to size. Had to return them.

Disappointed! I've had these boots three times in my usual size and loved them. This time in the same size they are much too small!

These are super cute, but really bummed they run SO SMALL! I normally wear a 9 or 9 1/2, and I ordered a 10 to be safe. Wrong! I had on fairly thin socks, and I don’t have super wide feet, but my foot felt so tight in these boots. I don’t know what is going on with the sizing, but it needs to be sorted out! I don’t recommend, unfortunately—I returned them

A great boot that kept my feet warm and dry. Following winter my feet started to get wet 2 weeks into wearing! I contacted customer service, they told me I'm out of my warranty period by 7 days. I was furious! The price you pay isn't worth just one winter.

My regular size is 8-1/2 and purchased size 9. Returned for size 9-1/2 and still too small. Disappointed that I had to return and then reorder too.

Loved the boots for the first two weeks that I've had them here in northern NJ. Played in the snow with my grandchildren, gone for walks in the very cold weather and my feet have been warm and dry. Until today when I return from a walk to find the stitching unraveling on my left boot. It's been two weeks since I received these boots. They are out of stock in any color in my size. Not happy as I bought these boots in advance of storms so that I'd be ahead of the game this winter. Sadly, I am not.

although I do like these boots and bought the white ones last year the ones I get from Zappos are always deficient with the lining coming out and scuff marks on them debris on the bottom of the boot. This is the second pair I got where the lining was coming out of the boot from zappos so I returned them

Way to small. I read every review and still ended up with the wrong size. I'm not ordering the next size. I'm tired of having to drive to the UPS store in the next town.

I ordered 1/2 size longer/larger size 8. I normally wear a 7.5. The particular boots that I received about 15 minutes via UPS are extremely narrow. I'm normally a regular medium width. I'm so sorry I'm going to return this pair.

I bought these boots and they were great at first, very warm and comfortable but they eventually started leaking. I returned them and got the same pair under the warranty and those too started leaking. Aside from that, they run extremely small.

Don't get fooled by all these comments from buyers who just got it. I'm not difficult when it comes to boots. Bought these last winter, I was in university and mostly driving all winter long, believing these circumstances would make them last longer. Worst boots ever. I ordered one size bigger, 11. Fits like a small 10 but I thought that they were probably warm and I was totally WRONG. Trying to wear wool socks didn't even fix anything. Humid everyday, 10 to 20 minutes outside my feet were cold (and 5 minutes at -30c). It was worse when it was around -5c outside, they were wet inside. Cheap build, the sole has sagged after a month, even though my feet are not wide and the fabric is just not waterproof at all. They looked horrible after. If you intend to walk in 2 feet high of snow after buying these boots, you are in DEEP trouble. I regret bitterly my purchase, 4 months of winter and I must already get rid of it. Crappy boots and total waste of money.

I live in the northeast and invested in these boots because I thought they would be able to stand up to our long, cold, snowy, icy winters. Unfortunately, this was not the case. On my way to work one morning--having only worn the boots for about a month or so; they were still in very good condition--I had to trudge through an unplowed sidewalk with about 4" of snow crusted with a thin layer of ice. The ice pierced the top of the toe box on the right boot, and the resulting hole, though small, obviously means the boot is no longer waterproof at that spot. The company would not cover the boots because it wasn't a manufacturing defect. Perhaps not, but I would have expected the material on a winter boot to be able to withstand typical winter conditions. Something to consider before shelling out good money for a product that didn't even last a season.

These were soft and warm! I wanted them to fit, but they were painfully narrow. I normally wear an 8, ordered an 8.5, and they fit well lengthwise, but the width just compressed my bones together. Ouch! I have never needed a wide shoe before. Had to return :(

Had to return these because they are uber narrow in the toe area. I don't normally wear wide shoes but in this boot, I would have had to and sadly, they aren't made in wide sizes. Simply going up a size wouldn't have helped, as noted in other reviews, because it wouldn't have helped the narrow-ness in the toe area.

I have an older version of this boot which I have loved, but they are wearing out from so much use. I was excited to see that the newer one has a more robust sole and seems warmer. I wear a size 9 and both the 9.5 and 10 were too small. I am not going to bother with the 10.5 because these boots are clearly a mistake on Columbia's part. I think the 10.5 will be too wide since the 10 was already starting to feel wide. Short and wide. Too bad because I've loved the ones I have. But it looks like my next investment in winter boots won't be with Columbia.
