Description says: Support Type: Neutral to underpronation (supination). I have a high arch and underpronate (supinate) quite significantly. The soles and the cushioning push my feet outward causing supination. I would have to force my kneecaps together unnaturally to keep my feet from supinating in these shoes. I think this would be a decent shoe for overpronators.

The Asics Gel 4 is a big let down : I have been wearing the Excite for 8 months now & there is No Arch support or the feel of Gel in the . I wish I would have bought the Asics 3 which was better with the Arch support & Gel

After reading other reviews of this product, I was assuming I might need to return them or exchange for a size up because they would be too narrow/small/tight in my size (I have average width feet). To my pleasant surprise, this turned out to not be the case. They fit just right for me (I know to go 1/2 size up from my dress/casual shoe size when I buy Asics), comparable to all other pairs of Asics I have owned over the years (many). I use these for the gym and walking, not much running, so I always buy a no-frills model like the Excite, Contend, Equation, etc. I replace the stock insoles with something more supportive as well. These seem to have adequate cushioning and the heel doesn't feel too high. Overall, another great-fitting and well-designed model from the Asics brand.

Felt great on my feet for being 6'4 250 lbs

Love Asics and love Zappos. I ordered at 10am on Dec 23 with next business day delivery. The notice I got showed delivery on the 26th. I was good with that since it was Christmas weekend. To my surprise, about 3pm on Christmas eve the shoes were delivered. The shoes fit and feel great. The one setback is being blue and orange people are mistaking me for an Auburn fan, which is a fate worse than death!
