I am 5’3” and 125lb. At age 62 I’ve noticed a lot of lines and bumps shows under my dresses. I tried this bodysuit in size S and it made my body look smooth. It was easy to put it on. It wasn’t extra firm like others I tried but it gave me enough support without feeling hard to breath. I also liked that the back was high to cover most of my back and smooth out the bra lines. The problem for me was the band. It was thick and of course it felt comfortable over the shoulder BUT it sat right next to the side of my underarms such that with sleeveless dresses the band was completely visible. It looked really bad. I am 34DDD and my bra’s we’re pushing the band to go far toward my underarms. Whatever I did it didn’t work. I believe the open chest style doesn’t work for me because A) being short torso and the bodysuit comes all the way up to under my bust area and B) having a large size bust causes my breasts pushed up to my neck. In addition, the band was cutting right on the front side of my underarms which was painful. Sadly I had to return it. If you are tall and have average bust size, this should work for you. It is a beautiful bodysuit.

Wow — this really works. I purchased the 2XL to wear under a formfitting party dress. It’s comfortable, but provides excellent shaping and support in all the right places. The fact I can wear my own bra is a big bonus. The crotch is constructed of two layers of overlapping cotton fabric. When you need to use the bathroom you just pull the layers a part. At first I thought that was strange, until I tried on the Torsette Bodybriefer which has a hook and eye closure in the crotch area. It was nowhere near as comfortable. Overall, I preferred the Torsette Thighshaper over the Bodybriefer. The legs on this high shaper have a rubberized material along the bottom which very effectively keeps them in place.

I had a formal event to attend so decided I'd order some different shapewear pieces and see which one I liked best. I have worn Spanx in the past but the newer versions don't feel as strong with regard to compression so I thought I'd give this brand a try. I'm glad I did. This is a substantial piece of shapewear that really holds everything firmly in place. I like that I can wear my own bra with it--I've found the shapewear with built-in bras makes "pancake boobs", not flattering--and that it has boning in the back to help give better posture and a better back view. No one likes back fat.

Not easy to put on but at least I don’t need to fuss with it for a bathroom break. Years ago, I had something like this and I had to fasten two hooks, nearly impossible! Much better design. I’m impressed with the whole suit. Glad I tried it.

I ordered this and the other miraclesuit one but the other cut into my underarms. This one did not, but I have to say that I wasn't a fan of the boning in the back and the crotch opening gaped unless I positioned the legs in such a way that the y didn't shape the thighs properly. This may be because I'm pretty short waisted, not sure. I am returning and had to go to another store to find the Spanx options in my size.
I'd also recommend:

I usually get size large for shapewear but I went with medium and they fit well and feel comfortable. I'm 5'6" and 135 lbs for reference. I haven't worn them out yet so don't know if they will feel uncomfortable but I'm pretty picky and I decided to keep them. I have also purchased 2 other shapewear in black from Miraclesuit and love them as well.

Did the job, not super tight or uncomfortable - dress size is 18/20 or 2x but I got the 3x and still felt smoothed out and helped with posture…Definitely a plus to wear your own bra…
