I came close to liking this shoe -- but the lacing system was quite strange. The tongue didn't sit flat with the elongated side holes at the top. Also, the shoe wasn't nearly as padded as other running sneakers so I could feel the hard floor beneath me. I imagine that would start to wear on me soon!

toe box seems quite narrow for a wide width and especially for NB

Have to return because of the thick and bulky raw edge tongue. Too bad because its a really cute shoe and the peacock blue is very pretty.

They did not have the support i was looking for.

They have a nice wide toe box and an option for lacing higher up the foot, which I like. I wear a size 8 in most shoes, but find sneakers are better a half size longer. This is my third pair. Unfortunately I've returned these and am waiting on a replacement because they forgot to punch the top 3 holes for the laces on the left shoe.

Ordered the 9.5 narrow in grey. Not sure why they call this a narrow shoe, it's wider than some mediums I own! I'm having the hardest time finding "normal" looking shoes for everyday walking and work so I was excited to find these, and in narrow nonetheless- woohoo! Most sneaker style shoes are so bulky I could fit my hand in the toe box of the shoe on top of my foot, at least these aren't too high. Unfortunately they are so wide I could have a second pinky toe and they'd be a tad wide. New Balance please don't call shoes Narrow if they aren't.

This is a good sturdy shoe for those of us with foot problems. But for this price, I would expect more support. I had to add orthotic inserts.

The New Balance W990v4 just didn't work for me. They looked to start off and with no arch support, they're going back.

I was disappointed with the support in this shoe. Love the look and color (black). The exceptionally long tongue, however, is not desireable. Shoe is described as supportive for pronation but there isn't much support there. In fact, the support in the sole of the shoe does not feel like it completely extends to the edges. There is little support for the inside arch. I've always gotten "roll-bar" support and have been very satisfied. This type of pronation support is non-plus. My toes are long and arch is flat. I go up a size in athletic shoes (11) and have a narrow width. The shoe seemed true to size but a little short in the toe box.

Shoe looks nice. I really appreciate having the option to wear one single neutral color for shoes. However this was rather narrow (I wear 6.5 wide) and foot barely went into it. Touched front of shoe too. Might try in larger size.

I love the look of this shoe. I ordered a W after reading the reviews but it is too wide for me. I wore them at Disneyworld one day and I got blisters on my toes because I couldn’t pull them tight enough across the toe area. It was like having my feet in boxes, they couldn’t touch anywhere. They came in the day before we left on our trip so I didn’t wear them around the house and I just packed them, so it is my fault. So for now they are in the closet, lesson learned. I feel they would have been a great shoe if I had ordered the right size.

Bought these for running and so far, they're fine. Like all NB, the toe box is a little tight, but am hoping like my others, it'll give and loosen up in time. Great style.

Touge stitched poorly. Runs short.

Good shoe fairly comfortable, but felt very heavy. I don't think you could run for than a mile or two without being tired.

This shoe is for overpronators, but made my feet pronate quite a bit when I walked! Had high hopes for this shoe. Almost the arch support to normalize my pronation inward.

these are different from the V3. they are not as cushioned. much harder. Too bad.

I usually buy Brooks shoes, which are in the same price range as this shoe. This shoe did not seem like the same quality and did not offer the same level of support. I bought a D width. I liked the flexibility of the large toe box, but the heel was too wide.

Something is wrong with the quality of these shoes. Purchased them in June 2019 and there was a big hole already developing in the middle top part of it by the end of March 2020. Not sure if I will be dropping around $180 anymore for shoes that don't even last 1 year. Very disappointing especially now that no stores are open so there is no chance to try out any new shoes before buying them.
