I had to try these shoes, first, they are Bloch, (just like my ballet slippers, so yeah!), and second they say they are Barre shoes. As a Booty barre instructor I am always looking for foot coverage for the cooler and colder times of the year. I love the style it is super cute! The padding at the heel, I normally do not need any foot support, but the cushion is really nice, the construction is quality! These are really not barre shoes the forefoot pad is way to sticky, I cannot sweep the floor for battement kicks (part of the booty barre programming), I had to kick them off in the middle of class. The other not so great thing is that they do not seem to absorb sweat all that well, I put them back on after I got done teaching barre and went on to my private pilates clients and my feet were freezing because they felt damp. I put a pair of sticky sox on with the Bloch contours and felt a little warmer. On the plus side outside of teaching barre, these are great for pilates studio use, I felt really good demonstrating exercises on the equipment (reformer, trap, chair), I haven't done a whole Pilates session in them yet, but I think they will be great for it. So there is my plus/minus. I would advertise these as pilates studio shoes, not barre, but thanks for trying, Bloch!

great shoe for pilates or yoga. soft and flexible and very pretty. I got the black with blue stripes and get lots of compliments when I wear them. Also nice for around the house.

Love these shoes for barre class. They provide just a little bit of extra support and definitely keep you from slipping. You can't slide across the floor as easily as with socks (so going into a split is harder,) but that's my only complaint. I wear a 9.5 and got a size 10--perfect fit.

I do Zumba 4 - 5 times a week and use these. I have had them for 6 months and need to order a new pair. I think 6 months is great. I was getting Studio Wraps and although I love them too, they only lasted 3 months. So I am getting 2x the use out of my Bloch Barre's and for a few dollars less. They may run a bit small, but if I went to the next size, I'm afraid they would be too big. I have neuropathy issues if I wear sneakers when I dance, and when I wear these my feet take at least 45 minutes before I start to loose feeling where with sneakers I'd last maybe 10 minutes.

I have to say, Zappos continues to impress me with their selection and relevant styles! When I started taking barre3 classes I knew right away I would need some support due to my plantar fasciitis. I also have very bony feet and admittedly a germaphobe. The idea of walking around a workout studio barefoot is not for me, no matter how clean. These shoes have come to the rescue. The fit is 1 full size smaller than labeled, I average 9.5 - 10 and wear these in 11. My first pair are still in rotation, and I have since ordered 2 more pairs in other colors. I really love the slip-proof rubber soles and stability they provide. The heel cushion is awesome for all of those horse pose reps and walking around the studio's cold concrete hallways. These hold up to gentle cycle wash (use a lingerie bag) although after 4 months of almost daily wear they do stretch out a bit. My only wish is that they would make them in other colors. The pink is very bright, exactly as pictured on Zappos website.

Love these! They are like ballet slippers made out of soft stretch fabric. I've worn them for pilates mat class as well as reformer and they worked great. In regular shoes I wear an 8 1/2 or 9 depending upon the shoe and the 9 in these fit perfectly.

Love them! I wear a 10 and they fit perfectly. If you wear a half size you can get a size down since they stretch. Great for barre class but not for Pilates since the heel won't slide. Highly recommend!

These barre shoes run true to size, I normally wear an 8 and the 8 fit me perfectly. I ordered the Hot Pink and they are exactly as pictured, a great color. The fabric is very stretchy and comfortable. The rubber sole gives good grip and helps with support to get you higher on your toes. I love these so much I ordered a second pair in another color.

I wanted to love these - I've had Bloch dance shoes in the past. But when I wear these for my barre classes they actually hurt my feet. The heel cup slips all the time and I have to readjust it and the toe pads move and feel like they're burning the bottom of my feet. I've only worn them 3 times, so I'm going to give it a few more tries to see if they just needed some breaking in, but they didn't give me the best first impression.

I purchased these for my kickboxing/strength training classes. We work on mats, and can't wear shoes, but I needed support because of my Plantar Fascitis. I thought these would help. While there is SOME heel support, it is otherwise, like a sock - a very expensive sock. In addition, they have already started to fray along the elastic strap, and I haven't even owned them a month. Sizing is off as well. I wear a 9 1/2 in regular shoes, so I ordered the 10. I wish there was a 10 1/2.

I am really pissed that these shoes are a full size smaller (if not more) than marked. I usually wear size 10½, so I got a size 11. I swear they felt like a size 9½. I could tell though that they would have been super comfortable if the right size. I am really pissed now because there is no size 12. I do not understand why the sizes are so far off.

I was extremely disappointed in these. There is no substance to them at all - feels like putting on a pair of socks & the bottom is rubber - so terrible for what I wanted them for. Sending them back.
