Got to give the disclaimer that I have had these for about thirty minutes....but I just had to write to say WOW. I bought three different Ariat Paddock lace up boots (THANK YOU ZAPPOS). I saved this pair until last because they were the most expensive and I really hoped I'd like one of the cheaper pairs. The leather on the first two pair were pretty stiff. I had read the reviews, and folks all said the boots broke in easily, so I didn't rule either pair out, but nor was I in love with either pair. Then I put on this pair and WOW....the leather was butter soft and just felt like it fit every bend and movement of my foot.

Beautiful and terrible. These boots are gorgeous, but they will eat your heels alive! There is a rigid piece of leather & plastic in the heel that does not move with the rest of the boot upper. So your foot and the softer upper will move / stretch, but this rigid piece will not, and it will cut into your heel with every step. I got blisters, and then it rubbed the blisters off, all within the space of a mile; these boots were awful. And I could not break these in - even after trying for a week, they still were shredding my feet. That rigid piece is reinforced with a plastic tab thing on the outside, so I don't think it CAN be broken in. The edge of this rigid piece sits right at the point of the heel that protrudes back the most, thus doing the most damage to your foot (WHY!!??). When putting them on they are super comfortable, but when walking any distance the flaw with the heel soon becomes obvious.

Very comfortable from the beginning! I purchased four pairs of riding boots to get the most comfortable fit. I tried on the other three and they were relatively close. Then I tried on these. There was no comparison. These were comfortable right out of the box. The others went back.

Bought these in the fall of 2016, which is 3 years ago! I searched for longer than that to find a lace up boot with this styling that would fit my size 11, moderately wide foot. These not only fit, but looked fantastic. Now, I can say they have held up extremely well. While they don't get use all summer, they serve me well spring, fall and winter. In winter I add a very thin insulating insole. No, they aren't waterproof, but they still keep my feet dry on well days around town. I haven't used them on truly well hikes or slipped them through puddles, but they have seen some pretty messy Michigan weather and don't let me down AND they still look great! I have used leather cleaner and treated them to a good mink oil slathering occasionally, but not often. Short story... If this is a style you like, these boots are a great choice. Didn't clean these up for the photo. Had I, you wouldn't see the scuffs.

Very disappointed. I was looking for a sturdy lace-up ankle boot that would accommodate socks. These boots fit very nicely. However, Ariat spoiled a great boot by using a material for the tongue that appears to be fake leather and looks and feels very, very cheap. Returning the boots.

I scanned various Ariat styles and reviews before making this purchase and was convinced to buy these beautiful boots for the comfort factor. I needed them for daily use, not horseback riding, so they had to be suitable for walking and errands. They do not disappoint. There's plenty of room in the toe box and the upper padding is a plus. I typically wear a 9W and the size 9 fits fine even with thicker socks. Thank you, Zappos!

Although these boots did not hit my feet quite right and I will be returning them, they are very nicely made. I particularly liked the supportive fit through the ankles. It would be nice if they had a side zipper but the lack of it it makes for a sleeker look. Besides a zipper, for my extensive set of cranky foot issues I needed a thicker and less flexible sole. Also, although it was not a problem for me, I don't think these would be comfortable for even slightly wide feet nor for high arches.

I love the way this boot looks, and it would have been perfect for riding my motorcycle. The only problem is that it does not have enough arch support and for all the walking we do when we are out, would not provide the comfort needed. It is true to size and felt great on the foot otherwise. I do recommend the boot if you don't have high arches and are in need of the support.

These fit great! Plenty of room in my normal size even when wearing wool socks. The leather is very soft. They don't feel like they'll require any break-on time at all. I ordered 5 pairs of Ariat paddock boots in various styles & models and these were my favorite.

Bought these to replace my much loved Heritage III boots. Reading the reviews for the Heritage IV’s, I decided to go the the Breeze boots instead. I’m very happy with the purchase. They feel exactly like the Heritage IIIs but have a pebbled finish to the leather. There is also a tag that says “washable” but I’ve gone over the lettering with black sharpie. Support is excellent and there is minimal break in time. Highly recommended.

I love Ariat. I had to get rid of several pairs of boots when I was diagnosed with arthritis in my feet and toes. Replaced the with Ariats, which fits me pretty much perfectly. These are everyday boots for me-don't have a horse anymore. Comfortable all day from the day they come out of the box.

These boots are great. The leather is buttery, the ankle and arch and heel support very welcome, and the look slender and attractive. I think I can wear them all day and anywhere.

We have bought these boots several times for our daughters. They ride two times a week, sometimes more. They tend to wear out in about a year.

While the fit was very good, I am a size 6 to 6 1/2, I ordered a 6 was great. The pebbled texture of the leather was not what I was looking for. I wanted a smoother more polished leather boot. This boot is very much like a pair of Ariat shoes I still wear that are 20 years and still going.

Was trying more clunky style of boots and didn't like them so tried these. The slim style of the boot is attractive. I have several pair of Ariats. They are good solid, long lasting shoes. At first these seemed a bit big. I had on thin socks and thought I'd have to return them. With thicker socks they fit well, even room for my arch supports. The leather is soft and flexible. No pinching that I felt with other brands. They're keepers, but I do agree with one review which mentioned the tag that said "washable" in green lettering. I will be getting out the black sharpie to hide that.

Hands down....these are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn period. I am going to order in other colors.

I did not need to break these in, immediate comfort that lasted through an 8 hr work day in retail. Love them, and have received a lot of compliments too. Highly recommend in this particular silhouette.
