At first when I got them I was unsure and thought they looked a little too much on the vaquero side for my usual style and almost returned them. Then I decided to try them out one more time and I'm so glad I didn't return them! They are so cool and fun and the right amount of flashy (I got them in white scales with the black sole). I wore them all day and walked a couple miles in them and they only hurt the bottom of my foot a bit. But as long as you're not a crazy person trying to get in their 10k steps every day then these boots should be comfortable for you! Also, I am not thin and therefore do not have skinny calves and was still able to zip these bad boys up the entire way, fyi.

Unfortunately I will be not be keeping these. The shaft is 6.5" high and has the smallest opening for that height of a boot. The opening is approximately 10"... I dont have large calfs or ankles but I am short, 5'1 so the boot does go higher up my leg than it would on someone taller. Unfortunately I couldn't zip them all the way up...if you have larger calfs or are shorter they might not zip all the way up... sad, because the boots are beautiful. The boot felt true to size otherwise, I'm normally a 7.5 and that's the size I purchased.

I followed the other reviewers and got these boots in a half size up than I usually wear in Matisse. They fit in width and length, but the ankle was tight at the top of the zipper and loose nearer to the heel. As many other reviewers said, the color is not as pictured. It is much darker. I didn't like the darker color. I was disappointed because I usually love Matisse shoes. I returned them.

I kept reading reviews on various websites recommending sizing up for these, but I'd suggest for those with narrow feet to stay with your current size. I typically wear a 9.5/10, however when making online purchases I usually go with the 10 just to be safe. Due to the toe box on these and paired with my narrow foot, the 10s actually felt too long and I ended up sizing down. Based on previous reviews I broke them in with the zippers down and they are amazing! Love the look and feel of them, and have experienced no discomfort in the breaking-in process.

I normally order size 7 or 7.5. I have had issues lately with fittings - as I think I really am an 8 with a good sock. These are perfect. Neutral and match with all my outfits. I will definitely purchase them in black. Very comfortable and stylish. Many compliments. lots of love, Tracey xxx they cover the ankle and longer in the calf.

These are GRAY not ivory. Even though the description and box both say ivory, I’ve attached a photo and they’re clearly grayish taupe like color

These shoes were marked IVORY on the site and on the box, however they are very clearly GRAY. The image shows them next to a natural colored wool sweater for comparison. Very disappointing because they are SO cute in the real Ivory and they seem to be sold out in my size. :( returned.

I started with a size 8 and sized up to an 8.5. This size accommodates my custom insoles much better. As other reviewers have mentioned, this boot is snug on the calf, but sizing up a half size also gave me a little more wiggle room.

Love these boots. I had to wear them in a little but it’s worth it. I got the nude/gray color and get compliments all the time on them. I typically struggle to find boots that fit my calves because I am skinny with big feet but these boots are perfect.

This is my second pair of Caty boots and I love them as much as the first. Quality is great. My feet are narrow so these boots accommodate that. The color has a gray tone to it. Not what is pictured. Even though the color is not the same I still am very happy with my purchase.

Wanted a smaller heel but these are not 1 3/4 inch as indicated in the description - they are over 2 inches. The small top of the boot was super uncomfortable when I walked. Unfortunately, these are going back.

I love these boots and the brand. This particular boot did not fit my foot as well as past boots I have purchased from this brand. I will continue to but Matisse brand and looking for the next pair of amazing kicks! :)

Like the style a lot. Fairly comfortable.

Though they are pricey they are really great. I went up half size and they fit perfect and I can wear all day they are very comfortable. I get compliments every time I wear them. So glad I went ahead and got them.

Not only are these shoes really comfortable but they are stylish too ! I wear these all day long and my feet never hurt .

Shoes fit perfectly. But something about the color I didn’t like. They felt too flashy for my style. So I returned for a more toned down color.

Such a gorgeous boot...sadly, they had to go back. Really nice construction and the entire boot felt great until I zipped them at the top. My calves aren't big, but the opening at the top is super narrow and was actually painful. A shame, because otherwise they're perfect. Other reviewers mentioned that they would have worked if there was some elastic give at the top of the shaft and I agree. Goodbye, Caty!

So chic! I have the gray pair in these and they are just fabulous! Highly recommend.

Very stylish and a great color (pale gray with brown undertones). Cute under bootcut jeans and also planning to wear with midi skirts if I can get up the nerve. I wear these to work as a marketing exec in a casual office environment.

I did a LOT of research before buying these and am glad I decided upon and ordered these. They are very comfortable, I love that the heel is shorter than 3 inches, and they are beautifully designed... but... my friends with upper ankles that are larger than svelte-average, these might not work. My legs are a very average size and these almost do not zip to the top. It is too bad Matisse didn't add a little bit of elastic near the zipper top to allow more body types the wear these. A little design ingenuity could have solved it. They work for me, but I know a lot of friends and folks these won't work for and that's a bummer.

I REALLY wanted to love these boots. They look AWESOME~ but, the boot itself came up my calf higher than a bootie but not as tall as a regular boot. They still looked great but the way the top of the boot hit my shin was really, really uncomfortable. Sigh.

I normally wear a 9 or 8.5 in booties. I have a skinny foot. The 8.5 fits perfectly. 9 would have been too big.

I bought these boots as well as the Dolce Vita Shanta and this one was the clear winner. The higher rise looks great under cropped pants and jeans and the leather itself looks great. These boots are pretty comfy straight out of the box, although i haven't worn them for more than a few hours just yet.
