The above review did not realize that he bought Turf shoes. They are not designed to be worn on wood, etc. So, ignore the review about the frog sound. They were designed just fine. They are made to be worn on Astroturf. He was buying them for walking shoes. They are not designed for that.

Okay, this is weird but I loved this shoe. Loved how they looked. Loved how they felt. Comfortable. But when you walk on surfaces like wood (and I imagine other soft surfaces like courts, flooring etc., i.e. not concrete), they make an audible "croaking" sound, like a small frog. That's the best way I can describe it. I noticed it. My wife said it wasn't that bad but when my 15 year old son started mocking me, they had to go back. I have no idea how somebody designed this shoe and didn't walk on a bunch of surfaces and notice, "Boy, these shoes are pretty noisy". Maybe it would have decreased over time? Maybe the unusual nubs on the sole would have worn down and become quiet or quieter? Maybe, but I'm not walking around a mall or Target or some public place and having everyone turn and look for the source of the noise. Nike, you are better than this. Somebody, in the name of all things holy, WALK IN THE SHOES ON ALL SURFACES before you build to sell to the masses! It's really design 101.

Was hesitant based on other reviews but a friend who had told me I'd be happy. He was right. Great fit and traction. Feels like a super comfy cross trainer. But gives you great traction on the field

Love the look of these, and wear them for slow pitch softball. I play a decent amount of softball, and wear them all day for tournaments a couple times a month. So, they’re great for all day wear. Only issue with them is they aren’t as cushy as you would think a Lunarlon sole would be. I’ve owned several pairs of Nikes with the Lunarlon soles and it feels like you’re walking on clouds, but not with these. However, like I said, still comfortable for all day wear. This is my second pair. First pair I had worn for about a year and half, and had to spring for this pair because the yellow nubs on the forefoot of the shoe had all gotten ripped off from wear and tear.

This shoe looked so promising, but my son did not like it at all. The shoe slipped and slid all over the artificial turf. He took them off after a short period of time and put on regular tennis shoes, which he said were far superior to this football shoe which is made specifically for artificial turf. oops! Nike, you missed the mark with this one, it is going back.
