I love Aetrex for the arch support. My Dr. Comfort sandals just didn’t cut it so I ordered these in 7 Mens for the width I needed. They are a perfect fit and the first pair of flip flops I’ve been able to wear in decades. Whether you’re a man or a woman if you need a D width, and a real arch support in a sandal, get these. The uniformity rather than the “plug” type thong means these will hold up. Thank you Aetrex and Zappos!

I am female and bought both the men's and women's size 9 versions of this flip flop to see which fit better. I have bad plantar fasciitis and wanted a flip flop to wear outside and to the pool with good arch support. I tried them on and walked around a bit in the house. I must say while I liked the fit and feel of the women's version better, I opted for the men's version due to the noticeable difference in arch support and width. The men's version of this has a LOT of arch support to the point where it may be uncomfortable to wear at first. However, after a short time walking around, my feet feel great. As a woman, I do feel like the men's version looks and feels a bit bulky and "clunky" on my feet versus the women's version. However, I just couldn't pass up how great the arch support is in the men's version. Would definitely buy another pair.

These feel similar to the Oofos I already own, but which turned out to be not that durable so figured I would try Aetrex next. Aetrex appear to provide even better support for my very high arches. However, the size was waaaay off on the Aetrex such that they must have been mislabeled. The picture shows the new Aetrex (supposedly size 10) next to my size 10 Oofos. So I am trading the Aetrex in for size 11 and I bet they are a size too large when I get them. But I don't know how to trade in a pair of size 10 for a pair of correctly labeled size 10.

Fit good, but I bought these for walking to and from the beach in Isla Mujeres, Cancun, Mexico. When they are wet (like after washing the sand off my feet to walk back to our room) my feet slip all over the shoe and they lack stability. I liked the idea of the arch support, but walking in them wet is uncomfortable, even dangerous!

Aetrex has lost their minds and changed the design of the Maui flip. The new model does not have the support of the older one and the flip is not as stable, it has the floppiness of oofos, which don't work for me. Sad, sad day. I have extremely high arches and had been wearing this style for years!!

So comfortable. I have really flat feet and these keep my feet refreshed throughout the day. So cushioned I love them.

I like the look and comfort of the shoes.

For me the fit was a bit snug but later stretched to a custom fit (I measure wide in ALL shoes) These are the most comfortable and best flip flops I have ever had! I plan to purchase another pair to wear specifically indoors and ditch the hot, flat slippers.

I am in Florida, and basically live in flips. I walk the dog a couple miles a day, and live in a house with hard tile floors, so I ask a lot of my flips. For me, these are EXCELLENT. Comfortable, durable, and with really good arch support. I have four pairs. The black version, I'd give five stars for Style. But while I like the olive drab version just as much for wearing, it's hard to give anything olive drab top marks for Style ;-) Did I mention these flips are EXCELLENT?

loving me a second pair Aetrex flips! had firs pair for years, finally toe broke! happy dayfor second pair, but had to order a size larger tthen my shoe size.

I ordered these for my husband. He has been wearing nothing but tennies for a couple of years because his knees and legs hurt. I wanted him to have some sandals that he could wear around the house and give him support. He looked at them and said he didn't like them. I made him put them on and he didn't like the between the toe style. I asked him to wear them one day. At the end of the day he was used to the thong and the support and cushion was unmistakable. He said he loved them and they felt great. The next day he wore them and said his knees and legs felt better. He is wearing them all the time. I ordered a pair for me and although they don't have the class look of fancy sandals it doesn't matter because they feel so good! Mine were a half to full size larger but I didn't want to wait for another color to become available. I have a high arch and he has a flat arch. Yet we both love them and love love the support and cushion. I would recommend them to everyone!!

I'm a chronic flip flop wearer, but since I've gotten plantar fasciitis I've been on the hunt for casual thongs with support. I bought Aetrex insoles, so know the product is excellent. These are the most comfortable shoes of any type I've ever worn. Lots of arch support with a cushy heel bed make these wearable all day long. It's actually a pleasure to put them on! I will continue to wear these even after my plantars goes away. Highly recommend.

I purchased these specifically to replace my older ones which no longer had as much arch support. I have owned at least 4 pair over the years. I buy the men’s for the width. These are newly designed which is frustrating when replacing. They are definitely a bit smaller all around. They still fit but could not be any shorter or I would need to go up a half size. The arch support doesn’t seem as full either. I have tried other brand and this was always the best. Now it’s a toss up between this and others.

The shoes are very comfortable but were a half size smaller then what the size says.

These shoes feel tight. Day 4 and I’m starting to get used to this. Feel a lot like oofos. I hope they last longer.

Great shoe but they really run small. And I need arch support but its extremely high in this shoe

These were less “gooey” feeling than the other brand I tried…Oona or something like that. But just not a fan - I’ll stick with my Croc flip-flops.

My Dr recommended I try these shoes due to pain in my foot from previous surgery. They seem wide but they are pretty snug and tight on my feet. I wore them for a couple of days but these really hurt my feet. I think they are made for narrow feet. I will be returning them and hoping to find something for my feet.

Shoe pictured had old footbed pattern. Shoe received had new footbed pattern which is not nearly as comfortable in my opinion. Missed return window as they were going to be back-up pair and unfortunately got pushed to back of closet. Will be donating them. Zappos needs to change item photo as they are still showing old footbed pattern.

I ordered a size 9 because I have a size 9. This shoe was much bigger. Also, the picture showed a textured surface for my foot; this surface was not textured--it did not match the image. In general the style was ok. The comfort for the shoe would be ok if it weren't too big.

These are not the regular Maui flips. They have a black sole and a much lower arch than the regular flips.
