Small and lightweight, while still being comfortable and durable, lays flat to lumbar while still allowing breathability. That said, the Maka 1 has been handy in everyday urban life, too. Originally ordered 'Light Admiral' which turned out to be bright Lavender. Returned for 'Nautic Grey' which is true to color and nicely understated.
I'd also recommend:
Patagonia, Black Diamond

It's a nice clean black pouch. I enjoy all the little pockets because I can store my keys and cards without anyone knowing that it's touched away. It's secure and stylish! Also, I wore the pouch not just around my waist but across my chest which was also pretty convenient - the strap can extend a good amount. I really like this pouch and highly recommend it.

Was looking for a "fanny pack" seeing as these are back in style and I have always liked the practical aspect of these. Finding one by Arc'teryx is even more of a bonus. The size is adequate enough for a summer afternoon outing and the Arc'teryx items are always so well made. Would have been nice to have a few more pockets- otherwise, planning on a lot of use with this waist pack.

Just barely holds a Kindle but it does! Plus wallet, cellphone, keys, and everything else you may need for the day. Durable, thick outer fabric seems to be holding up well. Nice reinforced zipper pulls.

I use this bag to carry my phone, wallet and keys when biking and about town. I like the way it fits as a cross body bag - easily adjustable to exactly how I want.

Really love this little bag. It is perfect for the essentials (will fit an iPhone 6 in the back pocket). I particularly like the swivel aspect so that the strap serves as a cross-body or around the waist strap. It is really a little gem.

I don't like carrying items in my pockets because of the bulk. I like being organized and having everything in one place. On a regular basis I carry: - wallet - keys - phone - gum - pen - small lotion bottle for my dry skin And carrying all of these items on me can get rather cumbersome. I have bigger packs for travel trips that require a water bottle, but on the day to day, I needed something not as big. I'm so glad I found this little guy, it holds everything really well and it is light weight and the black colour makes it stealthy. Overall, it's a great pack and if you're looking for something small and lightweight to stay organized on a daily basis, this is probably one of the better packs to get.

By far the best most durable bag I have ever had. Light and small yet holds lots of stuff.

This is by far the best fanny pack i ever had. It helps me keeping my pockets empty and my stuff organized. Its very comfortable to wear due to its padding. The shape, style and the fact that its made from Deadbird makes it less awkward to wear than other traditional 90's fanny packs (it probably still won't make you the cool kid on the block but hey, who cares, its Arcteryx). It holds everything that somebody carries around on a daily basis without having too less or too much space.

It is a great size waist bag. You are able to put keys, wallet and phone into it. There are spaces for receipts as well. The weight of this bag is light and material used are durable.

Perfect size and my iPhone even fits perfectly in the pocket behind the pack. Very comfortable with lots of strap for perfect adjustment. Ample room for any necessities. Love it!

I bought this for a trip and found it's extremely useful especially in a bad snowy cold weather. It's small yet easy to reach whatever I put in like a small camera and iPhone and extra batteries for the camera etc. Somehow it can take a lot of small things. The zippers are easy to pull and the fabric is water resistant. Love this bag! Highly recommend it!

Best purchase of late Great little bag, perfect size for my petite frame but still holds a lot. Very well made. I have been using this as my regular daily bag since buying it over a month ago and it still looks brand new. Highly recommend.

I like the size of this bag. Got it for hiking to carry small essentials. It’s very well designed and practical. I had one from another brand that preferred the shape of but this one won out for quality and functionality. The back pocket fits my iPhone 7 if your phone is bigger it won’t fit. Wish the shape was more streamlined but can’t have everything.

Nice little bag for out and about Keys, wallet, phone, dummies, sunglasses, wipes, snacks and coins etc are now safe. I often wear shorts which do not always have the best pockets so I needed a way to carry the life junk (when travelling light) If you want to carry a lightweight jacket or top the Maka 2 would be more suitable as per the noted question but could probably squeeze in if needed So far I have found it comfier as a waist bag, but I still use it over the shoulder for ease

I like it. Big enough to hold what I need (wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses) but not bulky. Inner and outer zip pockets are nice. The strap around the waist is a bit long and unwieldy.
