I have feet that typically require a wide shoe. I also wear a hard prescription orthotic for plantar fasciitis due to a particularly high arch and instep. I've twice broken the metatarsal bone under my little toe on one foot, leaving it slightly misshapen and wider, and I've injured the achilles tendon on my other foot, as well as having a bunionette. Needless to say, finding shoes that fit and are comfortable for long walks is a challenging task. The Earth Plover is a terrific shoe that accommodates my problem feet like a champ. Amazingly, I can wear a medium (B) width in some Earth shoes, including the Plover. The closed heel design securely holds and mostly conceals my orthotic, and the ghillie lacing over the instep allows me to achieve just the right support without rubbing on my bunionette or the area where my foot has been broken. I'm very happy with this shoe and recommend it. It is airy like a sandal but more secure for an orthotic and various foot problems. I also have found the Earth Bay comfortable and I was surprise that I can fit my orthotic in it in a medium width.

These sandals are beautiful and amazingly comfortable! The color is a perfect turquoise. I have a very average 8 1/2 foot that leans a tiny bit towards wide rather than narrow and these shoes fit lovely without needing any adjustment time to break in. Very happy with my purchase and feel like they are priced well for such a comfortable, quality shoe. If you have a very narrow foot, you might feel that these are slightly wide.

When these shoes arrived yesterday, I thought they might be a half size too small (I wear an 8). However, I put them on this morning and wore them to work. I love them! So comfortable. I was also concerned that there may not be enough arch support, but surprisingly my feet feel great after a long day. I have foot issues (plantar fasciitis, achilles tendonitis and arthritis) and I'm very happy with this purchase. A well made and comfortable shoe.

Red shoes appeared orange on my computer so I took a chance and am very pleased to find that the color is actually a lovely burnt orange. I now own both the navy and orange pair. Mild arch support is perfect for my flat feet, laces allow me to adjust the width perfectly and the sandals do not slip off my feet. suede uppers are very comfortable on skin and the footbed is slightly cushioned.

Honestly, ordered over $1,000 of shoes and these are the only ones I kept. I love them! So very comfy on my size 11's. I was torn between keeping another pair of Earth brand, a perforated blue open toed bootie, but I'm in the dessert and I thought even with the perfing, too hot. But I love what Earth has done with the company since it's hay day with the negative heel and the big wide toe. I have several pair and will continue to buy them as they are stylish, uber comfy and a reasonable value. Love them, buy them!

This is a beautifully crafted shoe. I wear an 8M street shoe, and this fits perfectly. My feet are medium width, rarely leaning towards Wide, and never Narrow. I bought the Taupe color, a perfect neutral. It's close to a light gray, I'd say. The leather padding is so soft and feels so puffy underfoot, in a good way. The cushioning is amazing. The leather outer is beautiful, soft, pliable, sort of pebbled. The lacing makes the shoe so adjustable. I needed a little more width in the toes, so just loosened the laces and left a little slack in the toe and then carefully tightened the rest of the lace to get a perfect custom fit. I didn't really expect much from this shoe, but am extremely pleasantly surprised. The style is classic, yet can lean boho. I saw on another site where someone said these shoes look "assisted living," but, NO, not at all. That one review almost caused me not to try them, so, if you're wondering, give them a try. They honestly look great with anything.

Really cute for a casual sandal and super comfortable. This is my first pair of Earth shoes. I wear a 9.5B and they fit beautifully. It's probably not a style for a narrow foot since the footbed runs a tad wide. I wore them right out of the box for a whole day at work. Love!

When I first took these shoes out of the box, I was skeptical because they looked way too small. Happy to report that my feet slipped right in, and felt right at home. Super comfy, so cute, I love them. I ordered my usual size 6, and they are perfect. Love the orange color too. Now if only the New England weather would only warm up a little so I can wear them...

Stylish and very comfortable. Perfect for times when a bit more coverage is needed. I order 1/2 size larger in Earth brand shoes and the fit is perfect. The neutral color goes with everything.

Very comfortable. I have a very difficult time finding comfortable shoes because of arthritis and hammer toes. The lacing makes it easy to adjust shoe to a position that I can wear.

Wow, these shoes are super cute and comfy right out of the box that I didn't want to take them off, ever!! I purchased the black to wear with pants for days I want a little more coverage than a sandal. Let's talk about sizing as I read some of the reviews saying it ran small.. I am a true size 9 medium, small toes. I ordered a size 9 and it's right on the edge of being too small. I'm debating whether to send them back for exchange to a size 9.5. My big toe is at the tippy top end in the 9 and I feel that when walking there is a good possibility I would eventually stub my toe. I'm afraid if I get a half size larger it would have too much in the front. When my heel is snug against the back with it tied as much as it could, the sizing is perfect but since my foot can slide forward a bit, there lies the dilemma. The fit of the sole and the super cushiony feel, this shoe is awesome, I also want them in turquoise!

These were almost fabulous. They felt good, pillowy insides, looked good but the heel was rather stiff and came up

I love these shoes! I bought the turquoise at the beginning of summer, and was waiting to find the taupe ones on sale. Zappos had the best price I could find by far!!! They are comfortable, stylish, and I get compliments all of the time. I am in my early 30s and have kids that I have to keep up with. I can do that easily in these shoes!

This is my first shoe from the Earth brand and so far I am very happy with my purchase. They have enough room to insert my custom orthotic but still lace up tight enough for a custom fit. I'm very thankful to have found an attractive shoe that can accommodate the orthotic and still look good.

I really wanted to keep these shoes but the fit just wasn't right. Fine up front but heel slips despite tightening the laces. Beautiful shoes and would have been perfect for wear to work.

These are very comfortable shoes. I wore them three days straight on a trip in which we did a lot of walking and they remained comfy all day long. I like that they can be loosened or tightened a bit with the ties. The taupe color works with almost every color so it wasn't necessary to pack several pairs of shoes. I needed a little extra support on the top of my feet and these are great for that without looking like an oxford. I will no doubt purchase them in other colors because they are so comfortable and sometimes that's hard for me to find.

I love these shoes! I can make them as wide as needed and can even slip my custom orthotics into them. I got the tan and they go with anything I choose to wear. I also love the style and the way they look on my foot. Very happy!

Love the style! Ordered a size 11, but they were a bit short, so exchanged for size 12. They are very comfortable - decent arch support and can wear them on a long day of walking/being on feet.

I love these shoes! After several surgeries on my feet, finding comfortable shoes (that also look good) is a challenge. These are perfect. I've worn them nearly every days since they arrived and they are really comfortable. The color, which I happen to like, is not red but a burnt orange. Very cute

This shoe felt comfortable as soon as I put it on my size 11 foot. The laces are thicker than I thought but the shoe fits well and I like the sapphire blue color. I am happy with my purchase.

These have a cushy comfy foot bed and are super cute. I see these being my go to shoe spring/summer. Cant wait to get them in different colors. If you have a wide foot, no problem, you can adjust to fit your foot. If you have a narrow foot, I don't see how you can make it tighter to fit snug against your foot. If your between sizes I suggest going up. I'm a true 9 and my toe is at the end. I love this shoe!

Nice sandal. Why if you are above a 10 no half sizes can be bought?

I have a difficult time finding sandals that are comfortable and stylish. These are both! I have a narrow heel and a wider forefoot, and these are perfect. I ordered both the black and the nude colors, and found the black to be stunning, but the nude color was kind of frumpy looking. I sent that one back, but am loving the black ones.
