I really wanted to like these pants - great fabric, great features - but the fit was just unworkable. First, they have a low rise, which is both uncomfortable and out of fashion. Second, they have a really big waist that is adjustable using a drawstring, which makes the waist gathered and puffy and makes you look fat. Who wants that?

These BugsAway pants are amazing, super light, very comfortable, and bug repellent. I've never seen this combination of all of these attributes in one pair of pants. They also help protect against sun damage. Wow!

I was shocked when I tried these on and they fit! I'm 5'-4" with hips. This was the first time ever buying Exofficio and I continue to buy.

While I haven't tested out the bug resistance, I have worn them boating and they are quite cool and comfortable in the Florida heat.

My favorite summer pants. I have now purchased three pairs and I love them. They are so comfortable and so lightweight and repel insects. What could be better!

I bought these pants for gardening and they are perfect. They are light weight - so cool - and very easy to move in. Plus they are bug proof for up to 70 washes. They dry quickly and I love the waist that has a tie closure so can make fit perfectly. Will probably buy another pair.

i'm 5'7" 130lbs, athletic, shorter torso, longer legs. i'm usually a size 4 for pants but even with the jawstring, i feel like this pants are not staying on my waist and hips. I did have to buy XS instead of S for their bugsaway leggings too. should have gotten a size 2 for this pants. it is a super light weight pants

I liked that the pants were thin but the first time out on the trail, they got dirty and I cannot get them clean so I think I picked the wrong color - should have been beige or brown instead of light blue

I got these for a backpacking trip. Combined with the bug away shirts, I managed to get bitten only once - which is amazing, given that I'm always the first and most bitten in any group. Will say, though, that they are not the most durable. They snagged on a twig on day one, resulting in a hole. I did enjoy how light they are so I suppose that's the trade off. Also as someone else stated, they are not at all waterproof. Not a deal breaker for my particular use case, but FYI. Would recommend sizing up and using the drawstring to cinch to your waist as they tend to be particularly tight around the inseam. I picked this design in particular because it makes sizing up possible without worrying about sagging.

I liked the material and the look well enough, but the cut was weird. The waist was way too big, but the crotch felt a little tight--enough to be uncomfortable. Because of the latter, I didn't dare go smaller in the hope of a better-fitting waist. Also, the pants were too long. And I don't really see the point of rolling them up, because that way you lose the insect protection on your lower legs.

The material in the pants seems sturdy and cool. A nice weight for summer. However, the sizing in Lands End clothing is difficult to figure out. I have a slightly older pair of these pants in a size 8 petite. I wanted a pair that is a little bigger, so I ordered a size 10 petite. However, the size 10 fit me exactly the same as the size 8. I am disappointed.

PROS : Tick protection . Nice lightweight fabric for summer. Roll up tabs a nice feature. CONS: Not very comfortable. Sizing seems off. IN GENERAL: I live in the country where deer ticks are an increasing problem. I wanted protection for gardening. These were the only pants I could find with permethrin protection and so I was willing to put up with only fair comfort for that reason. Being a hiker and angler, I have worn many outdoor pant labels over the years and these are by far the most uncomfortable. Waist drawstring fixes too large waist (although I do not like the feature). Pockets in front way too tight. Just are not the kind of pants you want to hang out in because of overall comfort level. Ordered 2 pair of damselfy and 3 pair of Ziwa pants to find one that fit. (The Ziwa pants were also uncomfortable, small waists and zip off feature uncomfortable). Sizing and design for both styles just seems off. Ordered one size up (normally wear a size 6) and kept the damselfly. Exofficio, you have a great advantage with the insect shield, but as soon as someone else can provide insect protection IN ADDITION TO comfort and styling, I will be shopping there.
