I love the teal color and have worn z cloud sandals for years. The straps on my old sandals were almost too long to secure around my narrow foot. The straps on these sandals were too long. I could not tighten the straps enough before running out of room at the buckle. Too bad I have to return them.

Unfortunately, for me, they were not comfortable to walk in. These are the best looking active sandals I could find, but the comfort is lacking. The medial portion of the strap rubbed my right ankle raw and the outer portion of the sole on my right heel feels like I’m walking on a rock. Oddly, the left foot feels fine ?????

I’ve never said this before but for the life of me I could not figure out how to get my feet into these sandals. So back they go.

I do not usually wear wide sizes but I could not even get my foot into this shoe. The straps crossing over in one direction are not adjustable and I could not get my foot past this point. In my opinion It is very narrow. I'll try the wide next cause i love the color and style. Hope it works.

Was hoping the adjustable straps would give a custom fit, but there was way too much strap hanging down to the ground after adjusting to snug to my foot. This probably would not be a problem for people with fuller feet, but it did not work for my narrowish feet. Bummer!

I know a lot of people like these, but I want to have easy footwear in the summer and with all the straps and adjusting you have to do with these to get them to fit right, it was too much trouble for me.

I usually wear a 9.5 so I ordered the 9 and it fit for length. The straps are fairly easy to adjust, and I liked this customizable feature. What I don't like is the heel cradle...the outside of my heal sits on the "bump" and I know it will bother me so they're going back. Bummed.

These would have been perfect if the whole shoe had adjustable straps. The heel strap is not connected to the rest and was too loose and was not adjustable.

I was looking for a more supportive and comfortable sandal to wear while taking my kids on walks and such. It’s too hot for wearing tennis shoes outside all day and my flip flops aren’t great for the job. I liked the idea that these could get wet and fit into my active lifestyle as well. They are just not for me I guess. I spent plenty of time adjusting them and wore them for only 25 minutes and already had 2 blisters. The canvas strap that attaches the ankle strap to the sole rubbed the inside and outside of my food with each step. The arch is much too pronounced for my foot. Many reviews I read said they’re comfortable and I found them tolerable at best. I can easily walk 25 minutes in my $1 flip flops without blisters so these were a disappointment and not worth the money to me at all. They will be returned.

This is my second pair of the z/cloud x2. I bought my first pair about two years ago. These fit the same as my first pair however I find that the strap is much longer which isn’t necessarily a good thing. I like how adjustable these shoes are but because of my more narrow size feet, I have to have the straps a bit tighter which causes the strap in the back to annoyingly hang low and drag on the ground. I’m sure there are ways to rig it up or hem it so it doesn’t drag. Overall I like these shoes and will keep them, just wish the strap wasn’t so long. For reference, I am regularly a size 10 in most shoes with a somewhat narrow foot. Shoe fits true to size.
Side note- you can definitely adjust the straps for a custom fit. If they are too tight, then you loosen the straps according to what the small instruction/guide. After you get the hang of it, it’s easy to adjust.

I’m really sad. I expected there to be some elasticity in the straps. There is none. And then. I got a wide pair but they’re still way too narrow for my feet

I returned these for the Z/Cloud2 (No X). I found these ones way too hard and involved to adjust with all the straps. Both are heavy-ish and a bit clunky looking but I need great support and chacos have it. I need my big toe held down so the toe-hold is nice but it does tighten sometimes and cut off circulation. Also, the ankle strap doesn't adjust and slips a bit but I got used to it.

I have problem feet and tender skin, so my needs are very particular, and my chances of finding comfortable shoes is very slim. Still, I keep trying, especially as my current shoe collection is wearing out and is no longer comfortable.
I saw in one of my health groups that Chacos were highly recommended for comfort by people with EDS, like me, so I ordered a variety of styles, sizes, and widths to try at home. This was one of them.
The adjustability of the sandal strap was intriguing to me and seemed promising for getting the fit just right. I was eager to try them on.
When they arrived, I noticed a strong scent that reminds me of chocolate. (Chaco /Chocolate? Is this on purpose?) I believe it comes from the rubbery soles. I am not a fan of scented products, as the chemicals aggravate my migraines and asthma. I did not react, thankfully but wanted to earn others why are sensitive to fragrances, like myself. If Chaco Doors not add a scent to their shoes, I am curious as to what I am smelling.
I put on each pair, adjusting straps just so and then tightening the buckle, then stepped around in my carpeted home to see how walking would feel. Unfortunately, none of the seven different pairs will work for me. I think they are great, for normal people, but soft-tissued feet like mine cannot tolerate these shoes.
I wear a wide shoe, and even the wide sizes of Chacos felt uncomfortable on the back, inner side, where the arch support slopes into a heel cup. Every step felt this edge digging unnaturally into my foot. I also cannot tolerate the small, stationary strap on the side, as I walk, because the edge of it does not move with my foot, so it rubs my skin there. I know from experience that the slightest anomaly in a shoe will wear a sore into my tender skin after a mere half a day of wearing.
I am very sad that not even the wide size won't work for me, but I could see how they would be otherwise reasonably comfortable sandals for regular folks. Every foot is different, so try them yourself if you aren't like me, but I am back to the drawing board with my quest for tolerable sandals.

The strap system was tricky to figure out; I found a good tutorial on the Chaco website that helped me. The straps material irritated my skin, starting a blister within an hour. The anti-slip foot bed did not feel good under my foot either. They are heavy. I did not keep them.

The foot bed is very comfortable and it is true to size. The toe ring; however, is very uncomfortable because of a bunion.

These shoes are extremely comfortable. However, when I walked in them the toe loop would become extremely tight and felt like it was cutting off circulation. I was adjusting the shoe more than walking. I exchanged for the Chaco cloud with only one strap and have had no problems. Yes

I wanted to try a pair of Chacos, I've heard such good things. These did not feel good on my feet. I ended up returning them. The arch support was pretty high and bothered my foot. Also after trying to adjust them multiple times I never could get them to be comfortable. The straps around my big toe would tighten during the day, so by the end of the day, they were super tight around my toe. I might have needed a wide because my heel felt like it was too big to fit into the shoe bed. My heel was being rubbed on both sides by the footbed. I liked the look of the shoe and the length was great for a size 10. I wished they had been more comfortable.

Really loved the look and feel of the sole/arch support, but just couldn’t get the straps adjusted comfortably. I have nerve damage on the side of my left foot so the straps caused some discomfort there. Otherwise, I experienced what many others did in the reviews. I may try a different style later - definitely loved the cloud sole though.

I found the arch in this style good, but it seemed to hit my foot in the wrong place, so the overall effect was uncomfortable.
Also, I'm between an 11 and a 12 in this, so I couldn't decide if I should go larger or smaller. Larger almost felt like snowshoes- an odd sensation of needing to pick up my feet more than usual to walk.

Maneuvering tall the straps around to get them to wrap around my big toe was quite awkward. Once I got the shoe on, I could already tell from how tight the toe strap was that it was going to be an issue and would probably end up giving me a blister.
Aside from the uncomfortable straps, I did like that the sandal didn't have a buckle that completely separated.

I'd heard so much about the comfort and durability of Chaco sandals, and the adjustability feature was really appealing. I went to the local big chain outdoor outfitter to try on all the various styles, and decided that the double strap style looked the most feminine, and the ones with the toe loop felt the most secure, especially while walking on inclines. (I ended up buying from Zappo's because of the wider color selection.) Since I bought these for hiking, wading through rocky streams, climbing rocks at the beach, etc., that seemed pretty important. In hindsight, I wish I'd gotten ones without the toe strap. I've watched the online instructional videos Chaco offers, so I'm pretty confident I understand how the adjusting system works, yet both times I wore these (for about 2 hours each time), when I took them off, my big toes were in so much pain at the strap location. It took an hour for the discomfort to subside. At first they felt great, and I thought I'd never want to take them off! The arch support is great, the edges of the footbed cradle my foot, and the footbed itself is cushy without feeling like it will squish under my weight. (As far as size goes, I usually wear 8-8 1/2 in sandals, so I tried both 8s and 9s. Both sizes honestly felt fine. The deciding factor was the strap length: the 9's strap were too long and wouldn't cinch down to where I needed them to for proper fit. The 8 is perfect for me.)
I'd exchange these for the ones without toe strap, but can't since they've been worn. So I'll probably still wear these, but only for very limited periods of time.

When adjusted properly, these are the most comfortable sandals I've ever walked in. The catch is that due to the single-strap design, the loops around my toe slowly tighten and constantly need readjusting. I think a fixed toe loop would work much better.

I had high hopes for this sandal based on the reviews. I am looking for a 'comfort' sandal due to foot pain and this sandal does have a lot of cushion to it. However the fit was rather heel negative and wanted to roll my ankles inward... I could feel my hip starting to say ouch! So sadly they will go back and I will continue my search. It was also quite clunky looking, a really wide foot bed and a bit long in the toe. I am a true size 8, ordered an 8 and while the contouring cupped my foot well the toe was long enough to possibly be a tripping hazard. Might work well for a lot of people but just wasn't for me.

So, the length and width look great. BUT, one of the straps over the instep does NOT adjust and I therfore cannot get my foot into the sandal.
