I needed to replace my old North Face jacket and I love the idea that this is 3 jackets in one. You can wear both jackets together, just the shell as a light rain jacket or just the lining as a lightweight fleece sweatshirt.

This was purchased by my daughter who lives in Boston and her old, thin rain coat was not keeping her warm enough. She loves this one. It keeps her warm and dry no matter what

I've had another TNF triclimate jacket for years and never really loved it. The fleece was thick and very warm, which was nice in cold weather, but the bottom hem was elasticized and would ride up a lot. The rain jacket itself was a stiff material with awful open mesh for the lining that got caught on everything I put in the pockets. When living in upstate New York I bought a winter parka and snow pants from TNF and wore them all winter long, they were great. Now, I live in Okinawa and having a sturdy rain jacket is essential. I bought the men's version of this jacket for my husband and sized up for him, so I did the same thing for me. In all my other TNF items I wear an XS, but I sized up to a S, because I wanted this to be a little roomier. That was the right choice as it has just enough room, but didn't look bulky. The lining of this jacket is a smooth material, not that annoying mesh, and the fleece is a lighter weight with a smooth finish. This was a great buy, plus Zappos had the color I wanted Arctic Ice Blue on sale!
