My husband and I purchased two of these for our month long trip to Europe and could not have asked for a better bag. They are super light, about 4 lbs lighter than most carry-ons, move easily, zip easily and very durable. If anyone says otherwise then they had a lemon. We carried these on many airlines and never had an issue. On the smallest overhead compartment we just put it in upside down and wheels out...not a problem. The large soft wheels worked on cobblestones, dirt and even loose gravel. We dragged them up stairs and even checked them on the way home...not a scratch. We used Eagle Creeks packing system, and some other brand as well. I used the Eagle Creek Original Pack-It Cube Set, plus one more of the middle sized cubes. My husband used the Eagle Creek Original Pack-It Cube Set...he was amazed at how many shirts fit in the folder. We had plenty of space and it was nice, when in between flights we were able to espand the bag for easy storage of souvenirs or dirty clothes. We used the hook on top for jackets or my travel purse, so I did not have to carry any weight around. Never had issues with the telescoping handle, liked that it could extend a bit taller than most, since I am 5'10 and my husband 6'3. All the grab handles came in handy during our trip. Seemed like overkill at first, but used them all. And they are a stretchy neoprene type material, so they kind of stretch when you walk or go up stairs, which really made a difference on our knees and back. So to sum it up, pack light, buy this bag, by travel cubes, do laundry every few days and you will be fine traveling a month in Europe.

It looks small but is easily packable. I love the slate blue color. I sort of wish it had shoulder straps, but that would probably make it too bulky.

I was late making the decision to order this carry on, it arrived the evening before my early morning departure. I anxiously packed what I planned on putting in it and to my surprise it accommodated all, without even using the extender section, even on the return trip! My husband was amazed I could fit so much in it, that he wants me to order one for him! We had just the week before purchased the Gear Warrior 32 for each of us from our local distributor. The only design feature I questioned was the single "pole" for the pull handle, but It appears to hold up well!

7day Alaskan cruise we took on the challenge. I'm not a small person 6'3 245 . Here's my packing list . 4 pair undies 4 pair socks 3 pairs of daily pants 1 pair of dress slacks 1 belt 1 pair of shoes for dress 7 daily wear shirts including long sleeve 2 dress shirts long sleeve Toiletry kit 1 Tilley hat The outer shell of a 3 in 1 jacket/ I wore the inner I did wash the socks and undies once . Lightweight and worked flawlessly .

Everything I need in a carry-on - well built, good capacity and extremely lightweight

This is a very lightweight carry on and it's great for international travel! It is well under the 21.5 requirements for international travel and some airlines like Air Canada. The handle and telescope pole are impressive. It's heavy duty! The wheels roll effortlessly and there are pockets exactly where you need them! Two outside and one large one inside! It holds your coat to the top of the carry on with a great strap and it also expands to allow for some souvenirs. I'm really glad we purchased two of these! One for my husband and one for me!

I purchased this bag specifically for its 20" size and for use on an international trip. I must say that I love this bag! It is lightweight, well constructed, and it fits perfectly in the overhead compartment, Between this bag and a back pack, I had everything I needed for two weeks in South Africa. The only major change I would make to this bag is to the retractable pull handle. I would make it a double bar vs a single bar, so you can prop a second bag (e.g. Briefcase) on the bag when pulling it through the airports. I also purchased the medium packing envelope and packing cubes to help maximize space and keep things organized, and they worked great!!

To use on short and international trips as a carry-on!

I'm 5-foot short, 60-ish, and can still lift this into overhead racks. I'm very happy to have an international carry-on that I can manage. It holds a lot of stuff, too.

6 of my grandkids own Eagle Creek luggage and the girls own the older version of this bag (like me), Christmas gifts from me. My bag has traveled on over 50 flights since I bought it in June 2013, and served me well. How could I go wrong giving one to the girls'? Eagle Creek Luggage and packing accessories have been my travel choice since I learned of the brand.

Saw another Eagle Creek bag in the paper, but when I went out to website, found the Load Warrior and liked better. Not disappointed at all. Great storage even for the 20", which I bought as size for airline carry on bags are getting tougher. I didn't fly this time, but took car trip, but ready for any airline trip I may take. Would not hesitate to buy more from Eagle Creek.

I am in love with this bag. Didn't think when it came that I would be able to fit everything in and it surpassed my expectations so much! Packed for a two week safari and Amsterdam. Still have room in there!

My husband and I travel a fair bit domestically and to Europe once a year. I checked our regularly used airlines for their carry on dimensions and this one fit all the bills, including the European ones. I packed several changes of clothes, laptop, tablet, elcectonic accessories in here. It rolled great and stood upright by itself. Easily fit in the overhead bin. Everything was easy to access and worked well. I bought the blue version and it stands out amongst all the black luggage. I also have the blue gear warrior 28" which I used for our hiking gear, shoes etc. I have used it multiple times and can recommend that as well. My husband, on the other hand, had to check his carry on bag (it fits in the overhead and he has used it for years) because the airlines were cracking down and making people put them in the sizing testers. His wheels made it just a fraction too big. He was not amused :) My only recommendation - for all luggage makers - is to put an interior slot where one can put their contact information in case their luggage gets lost. Right now I use an additional luggage tag inside the bag.

Weekends and international trips.

Light weight. Roomy and lots of extra spaces for small items. Safety.

I travel light so perfect size for both long and short trips.

I use this bag for both domestic and international travel. It holds all I need it to hold as a " just in case" my luggage gets lost bag. Fits into the overhead bins with no problems. Still just a little too big for under the seat storage.

This bag is a nice addition for use when the acceptable carry-on size is smaller than 22". I am amazed at how much this bag holds even though it seems small. Another great piece from Eagle Creek.

I love this bag! I decided on the blue slate colour, just for a change from my usual black, and I'm so glad that I did - the colours are lovely and perfect for the summer holiday season. I try and travel with a carry on only so the luggage handlers won't be getting their dirty mitts on my gorgeous bag! I plan on using this bag in June, when I go to Spain for a week, but I have done a few trial packing runs to test just how much this baby can hold! I managed to fit in the following packing cubes (which were packed until bursting!!): Tube cube in the bottom of the bag 2 quarter cubes in the bottom of the bag quick trip toiletry bag in the bottom of the bag 2 pairs of shoes in shoe bags 2 cubes - one in the case and one in the door (the one in the door was only half full) 2 half cubes 1 medium sac (with 2 swimming costumes in it) (All of the packing cubes I use are the original ones, not the light weight ones) There was still a bit of room left to fit some more stuff! All of this came in at 8.9 kilos which I was very pleased with because the maximum carry on limit with the airline I'm using is 10 kilos. Because there are so many handles on this bag, I was able to easily lift it above my head, so i shouldn't have any problems getting it in to one of the overhead bins if I can't get it under the seat in front of me - I'm only 5ft 2 so most of the time some nice strong gent puts the bag into the overhead bin for me! As with all of my EC goodies, the quality is excellent, the wheels are really good (I took it for a trial run along a gravel path and it was fine - think the neighbours thought I was crazy!). I hope to have this for quite some time and will probably only change it as a result of me wanting something new rather than it dying on me! I'm looking forward to actually travelling with this bag and will post an updated review after it has been put through it's paces.

I have used Eagle Creek products with great satisfaction for many years. Recently it has become more and more difficult to use a 22" bag as a carry-on both internationally and domestically. I am pleased with the design of this compact lightweight duffel which should easily be a carry-on on almost any airline and is also sturdy enough to check should it be necessary. I travel almost exclusively carry-on however I am not one of those passengers who haul everything I own on the plane. This will make a perfect over head bin bag and I will pair it with a small personal item for under my seat. Looking forward to putting it to use on an upcoming trip. I just ordered a second bag for my husband.

Great product love how compact yet roomy this piece is. Using the pack it system I can pack for a 5 day trip in this bag. The material is very high quality and was able to withstand the damp humid climate of Costa Rica. It is also durable enough to withstand the constant packing and unpacking on the tour bus my husband and I were on. My only reason for giving it four stars instead of five would be that the zipper on the outer pocket broke only a month after receiving it however since the pocket came with two zippers this hasn't been a major deterrent from using it just kind of annoying for the cost. I really do love this bag and if you are on the fence GET IT! You will not regret it!
