I wear an 8.5 narrow and ordered this shoe in a 9. It felt a little big right out of the box, but after walking a couple of miles in it, it feels perfect. I have had ankle surgery this year and was looking for something supportive, lightweight, comfortable and not ugly for a couple of jungle hikes I have planned next month. This one works!

I've had these boots for a few months now. They are lightweight and comfortable. They provide the ankle support I need. They had no arch support, so I removed the insoles and added some Powerstep insoles. Worked great for me. They do run about 1/2 size small. My previous Vasques were 10 1/2. I ordered these in a size 11, per others' recommendations. They fit fine. They do run narrow, but so do my feet. In the end they were a great boot for my flat feet and weak ankles.

This is my third pair of Vasque Inhaler II GTX. They fit my average/narrow foot perfectly, take very little break-in, and are truly waterproof.

I tried five pairs, all different brands. These fit perfectly and feel more like a (hi-top)sneaker than a boot. Very comfortable and ready to go! Super cute styling as well. More expensive than the others I tried but worth it! I will be wearing them hiking in Alaska. I'll let you know how it goes. Based on other reviews I bought a size nine although in a sneaker or shoe I am an 8 to an 81/2. Fits well. I like that the laces tighten at the top of my foot so I can adjust the fit there for up or downhill hiking. Also, the padding around the ankle is comfortable, not too bulky and not too stiff.

I love these already! I just received a pair in the mail, put some bulky hiking socks on, and tried these on. I've got really flat feet. I've never worn arch supports or insoles, so I'm most comfortable wearing minimalist shoes or going barefoot. My main concern with buying a hiking boot is that a lot of hiking boots have a lot of arch support. I simply can not wear shoes with support. These boots are completely flat and it makes my duck feet happy. I'm excited to take these out! They're a little more rigid than I'm used to, but i think these will be perfect for hiking in Iceland this fall!

Lightweight, stiff sole, runs small. I'm usually narrow so the width works for me; if you have wide feet, you probably need to look elsewhere. The 8 1/2 (my usual size) did not fit, so I'm returning for a 9.

Comfortable right out of the box! Love the split sole design - so unique to this model - that gives this shoe flexibility with support on the hiking trail. Lightweight and breathable and waterproof too. In my opinion, nothing matches the Vasque Inhaler II. I'm a size 7.5 to 8 (depending on the brand/shoe). If you're like me, order the 8. You won't regret it.

I bought a 1/2 size up based on the reviews, but they were too big, and no stock in my size. I wanted lighter weight ankle support for a post ankle fracture. Will wait till it returns in my size. Also - the insole was all smashed up and uncomfortable, no big deal for me as they are removed easily and I wear orthotics.

This is a comfortable, relatively lightweight hiking shoe. I normally wear a US Ladies size 9 or a European 40. Based on previous reviews, I'm glad I sized up to a 9.5. This is a comfortable fit for walking or hiking with lightweight socks, but it would be a tight fit for thick socks. Consider sizing up at least a half size, or a full size if you plan to wear bulky socks.

I ordered a whole box full of hiking shoes, and these were among the ones I returned. I can't remember exactly why. The Scarpa's that I kept felt better on my feet.

Boot was attractive and fit well but not enough support for me. I need more foot/arch support. I traditionally am a big fan of Vasque but will opt for another boot.

I had to go 1/2 size up so my toes didn't smash up against the front of the boot. But once I got a size 9, I realized there is very little support inside the boot. I think my feet would hurt if I hiked in them. Also, there's only 2 cleats at the top, and I need more ankle support than that. I love the convenience of Zappos, but for hiking boots I think I'll go back to REI.

Not narrow enough in heel as my heel lifted up with every step. Returned.

I've worn these boots for about six months on hikes and daily walks with my dog. They've been super comfortable from Day 1, with good traction on slippery terrain. My big disappointment, though, is that they lost their waterproofing after just a few months. I end up wringing water out of my socks, even after walks in just wet grass --- we're not even talking puddles or rain. This seems to be a problem with all the so-called waterproof boots I buy, whether they're GTX or something else. So I'm hesitate to try Vasque boots again despite their other superior attributes. I will move on to other brands in my perhaps fruitless search for truly waterproof boots.

Terrible. Vasque's used to be among the best! What happened? The night of wearing these During the day and even the next day my feet were so sore. Ankles toes heels- if it was part of the foot it hurt. NO Support. At 175. The garbage bin will smile ??

I am looking for lightweight hiking boots to hike the Grand Canyon. I have an older pair of Vasque that fit great, but I was worried they would be too hot. So, I ordered these. I do not like them. First off, they ARE as ugly as they look in the picture. Perhaps designed by someone colorblind? As for comfort, there is no padding on the achilles area at all and that kept rubbing on me. Alas, my search for lightweight hiking boots continues.
