I love these boots! They are comfy from the first hike and didn't require wearing in. I usually opt for a wider fit in boots and these accommodated that perfectly.
My only issue is that the fastening hook on one of the boots has come loose and pulled away from the boot after only my third wear - quite disappointing considering how much these cost.
Possibly just a manufacturing default, so otherwise would highly recommend!

I had high hopes for these boots, but they were too large. I ordered 9.5 which is what I wear for all shoes including hiking boots. They were far too big, maybe even a whole size too big. I decided not to size down because I wear a custom orthotic which felt pretty snug as it was around my arch, going smaller would have made that area too tight. Plenty of wiggle room in the toe box, but too much sloshing in the the back and forth direction. Maybe the only spot that fit ok was in the arch. I have tried other Salomon styles and they were similar. They generally seem to run large. I also thought the tongue of the boot was a bit much - it didn't sit very well. I could see having to fuss with it during a hike. Maybe it would fit better if downsized.

This was the most secure that I've ever felt hiking trails ever! This is the first pair of hiking boots that I've bought, so I may not know much about hiking boots. I hiked at Turkey Run State Park in Indiana. My feet felt very secure on the slippery trails.

Hurt like heck when I first put it on as previous reviewer wrote, then good after breaking in. I really like this boots stability but enough with the laces. A foot too long.

I've had these a couple years they do keep you feet warm and dry but unfortunately they are super heavy and not super flexible to move in and that ended up backfiring on me hiking ended up break my ankle quite bad search and rescue murdered my boot. But they were good for snow shoeing just not rocky hikes.

I have been wearing Salomon hiking boots for 3 years for search & rescue work in Florida. This is the first brand that I have been able to wear comfortably for 12+ hours right out of the box. The Authentic LTG GTX Boot for Women was amazing. Unfortunately I wasnt able to find it when I shopped this time so after checking some review s and looking at the style I purchased these. Something with the arch support is just not as good or different enough that they are just painful to wear. This is really disappointing.

3 stars because they are the most comfortable boots I have worn in a long time.
The good; - Wide fitting for my bunions (I would equate it to an 'E'fit)
- Easy to find a lacing style to suit my high instep (I'm prone to tendonitis if laces
need to be tightened.) The lock system works well for this.
The bad; - They are NOT waterproof. First walk in wet grass = wet feet
The ugly: - The wrong colour boots were sent as they had been boxed incorrectly. I
ordered the blue and thats what the box indicated but inside were brown boots!
As the blue were out of stock I kept the brown ones anyway, due to how
comfortable I found them.
Would I buy Salomon boots again? Yes, they fit my awkward feet better than any others but they would have to measure up better than these to be worth the money.

Good looking boot, but the fit didn't work for me. It was also a fairly heavy boot for my taste. Runs large. I happen to like the wide toe box but the shoe just wasn't made for my feet. It appeared to be extremely well made. The quality inspired me to try other Solomon styles.

Bought these a month ago and worn them for day hikes but every time I wear them my ankles get bruises mid hike and end up limping due to pain. I've tried different socks, lacing techniques, padding around the ankles but to no avail.

I was going to buy a pair but after reading reviews about lack of waterproofing, and a call to the company I have decided to not buy Salomons. This company name had been recommended but being an outdoors company and you cannot return after you have worn them out doors, not a good selling point to me. Walking in my living room and walking up a mountain are two different things. I will be looking at our companies.

I have a weak ankle and thought the support of these boots would be the answer for walking and snowshoeing. I walked around the house in the boots for an hour and it felt okay. When I walked outside though on the uneven surface, they were very uncomfortable. They didn't have any flexibility on the ground and my foot started hurting; they felt like wearing wood. They are very attractive and well made.

I bought these boots at the beginning of the summer. Up until now they have served me well. First short hike in some light rain and my socks were wet taking off the boots. Thoroughly disappointed as being waterproof was one of the main selling points for me.

I have owned 2 pairs of these boots
The fabric eyelets tore after 1 year.
In one case they tore while I was on a 2 week backpack which was VERY bad.
I was multiple days away from my car and couldnt do anything to repair the boot.
Do not buy these boots, they are very poorly designed.

I'm so disappointed by these boots! I wore them around the house for a few days to check comfort and they felt amazing, great fit! I've now climbed three mountains in them and about half way they give my ankles really bad bruising on the outer side, my tendons stayed swollen each time for a couple of days. Never had this problem with any hiking boots before and I can't for the life of me figure out exactly whats causing the issue. I notice another reviewer has the exact same issue which is odd.
It's a shame the warranty for boots doesn't cover cases like this because you have no way of knowing they'll be painfull untill they've been used properly.

I bought these boots after much deliberation and I have to say the other reviews influenced me. However I have walked 10 miles in them and it easy feels like double - not great considering I'm training for a hiking marathon.
