I want to love these pants. I own three(3) pairs. Black and 2x in Owami (1 for work + 1 for home). I work exclusively outdoors in a fast paced environment where I require pants to be durable, light, flexible/stretch, have access to pockets and have a professional appearance. These pants check all of the boxes for me EXCEPT the crotch/saddle is so, so absurdly small. The zipper/fly is even shorter than any pants I have ever owned. I don't want big, baggy pants which these are not. The pant length works fine as does the waist. The saddle is almost become the difference between wearing or never wearing these pants. As most people can agree, you need space/room in the saddle. I hope this review helps the designers to create more space in this area in the future. This would otherwise be a 5 Star product review. Cheers, to the outdoor community.

While I found the pants to fit well and be very comfortable, I returned mine to REI after a couple months of light use due to discoloration of the fabric. I had the Dark Maverick color which is no longer listed as a color option. Hopefully the new colors hold up better.

J'ai pas mal de pantalon arcteryx (palissade, renegade ) mais celui est trop grand. J'aurais du prendre une taille en dessous.

Love Arcteryx and most all their products. These pants are provided in sizes that just don't work for me. Frustrating. Would love a slightly longer inseam option on the 34" waste. Great pant but if they don't size properly then they don't work. Arcteryx please provide more options on these and other pants as I'd love to fill my closets with more of your stuff!

Im sad to write this review because I own over 13 pieces of gear from Arc'teryx, but these pants.. are my first and only disappointment, I bought them when I was looking for a nice casual pant to wear around town, I wore them and I absolutely love the fit and function, they have zipper pockets on the thigh to secure phone wallet and keys and back and hand pockets *perfect for a pocket knife* On to the bad... they faded after the first wash, I separate all my colors dark, light, and whites and use Grangers active wash for all my clothes, except special fabrics, and tumble dry on low unless specified not too and a year later I don't even recognize that they were black it's more of a grey color with hint of black, the snap closure on the right back pocket literally fell off 2 weeks after having them and I hardly use my back pockets *maybe consider making the back pockets zippered instead* I want to love these pants and after posting this review I'm going to send them in to Arc'teryx and hope they can rectify the issue, if they do I will post another review and give a detailed report. They are revised now so I'm hoping something has changed In the manufacturing process. Stay tuned.

Own two pairs of the pants both look awful after a while. Otherwise, I like the feeling and fit.

I've bought several pairs of these, and initially liked them. However, the material seems to degrade quickly and pretty soon (~1 yr) they developed a horizontal tear across the back of the pants, extending from the pocket lower seam to the center. No good reason for it that I can see, they weren't too tight. Fundamentally I wouldn't recommend them - I expect pants to last longer than that, especially for the price paid for them.

If you want comfortable, cool looking pants but don't need clothes that hold up with outdoor activity, these pants might work for you. I thought I was buying field pants for the work and recreation I do outdoors, but on the first backpacking trip wearing these pants I discovered that these are not field pants. I call them my Sunday Picnic pants because anything more strenuous than a Sunday picnic will result in an abrasion, a hole, or a tear in the fabric. If you want to look cool and "outdoorsy" and don't need your pants to last, these might work for you. If you do a lot of backpacking, climbing, mountaineering, hiking off trail, or do fieldwork outdoors, then be aware that these pants will not hold up during these activities.

I bought these a while ago and wore them once and they noticeably faded (weird white streaky lines around the ankle too). I actually thought it was maybe some type of dust or something at first but after hand washing them and following the instructions it only got worse. Haven't been wearing them because I don't wan't them to get too much worse. If you don't really care about the colour/look then the pants do a great job, but mine really faded fast.

I have only worn for light everyday use around the city, and after maybe 3 washings they have prematurely look very well worn where I don't even want to wear them anymore. I guess the light cotton blend!? I have a lot of other Arc'teryx products, 1st time I am disappointed.

Warranty already completed for a replacement of a different pair. I have lots of arcteryx pieces and these don't live up anywhere near the same for quality. I had these for two weeks and wore them casually around the house with nothing strenuous. Within that time, the crotch blew out (fabric ripped and stitches blew) from sitting cross legged, and stitching along one of my legs ripped on its on as well. I'm wearing the correct size and not doing anything that should cause those failures. If they used higher quality fabric and stitching, these would be awesome pants. They're super comfortable and look good, but that's not worth lack of durability.

Bought these pants to use for climbing and hiking. Great look and fit. First time wearing them out for a hike, both pocket snaps fell off first time opening them and left sharp edges. Not the end of the world but definitely not Arc'Teryx quality that I'm used to. I took them on a week long trip to Red Rocks. I have owned a couple other pairs of thin stretchy Arc'Teryx pants so I didn't think anything of it, and the website claims they are durable. They literally fell apart. Every small scuff EXPLODED into huge tears. There are no knees left, multiple foot log tears on the back, etc. Probably 40% of the pants are gone. Maybe I bought the wrong pants, but I have had very different experiences with thin, stretchy Arc'Teryx pants in the past and treated these no differently.

Got these pants a week ago and I really like the fit. However, after wearing them once I noticed that the snap on the rear pocket had already come apart leaving sharp edges which I managed to cut my hand on when reaching for my wallet. Arcteryx talks a good game on quality but my experience doesn't reflect that (and not just with this product).
