Way narrower than the previous versions! I've been wearing PureConnects for 2 years and was looking to replace with these but the fit is way off. So sad.

These shoes are ok. I liked the previous versions of all Pure Series shoes. The Pure Flow 5 don't seem to fit as well, the tongue of the shoe slides to the side.

This show fits really small. I'm a 6.5 and even the 7 is too small.

I wanted to love these. They look good on, but this series of PureFlow is nowhere near as comfortable as prior series. I agree with other reviewers, the tongue is stiff and presses into the ankle and the toe box is not as roomy. I have bunions and the prior series were lightweight and comfortable. While these are lightweight, they are not comfortable and will be returned. I switch between Brooks and Asics and went with the Asics Gel Venture 5 trail runner which I found at my local shoe store cheaper than Zappos (sorry! love you guys!). Sad to return these, but they have to be comfortable.

I have only worn Brooks tennis shoes for years but this particular style fit much differently than all of my others. The toe box seemed much narrower making the shoes unwearable for me.

I love Brooks and have been wearing Pure Flow for awhile now. However, this style is terrible. It cut into my foot. Toebox is way to narrow. I returned these shoes. I wish the old style would come back with these new colors!

I really wanted to like these shoes. The style is adorable but as they warned the shoe runs small. I would even dare to say a size and half small. If your feet are not long and narrow, this shoe will not work for you.

I had read other reviews that said the PureFlow 5 felt much narrower in the toe box than earlier models, but I decided to give them a try as I was not willing to give up the PureFlow sneaker. However, I have to agree with all the reviews - these fit so much differently than my earlier PureFlow running shoes of the same size. I am so disappointed in the change. If I go up a half size, I don't think it will help the width. I will have to look for another shoe.

I have been running in Brooks Pure Flow shoes for years - ever since the first version. The size has always been fine from edition to edition - 10 is perfect for me. I always bought it at the running store, but this time, I thought I would try my luck online. That was a mistake. These seem way too tight and smaller than my previous Pure Flows. My toes fall asleep when running! I have run in them for a few weeks but I do not think that the break in process is fixing this problem. I do not know why this pair does not work like my past ones.

This is my third pair of Pureflow's and I'm sad to say they do not fit like the previous 2 I have purchased. The size was fine (I always need 1/2 size up) but the toe box is much tighter than previous models. So tight that my toes went numb during a class. I'm hoping they will stretch out but I've worn them 5 x now and it has happened every time. Hopefully it will eventually get better.

I am a Pureflow fan. Pureflow 2 the most comfortable and wore these until I could not find anymore and had to switch to Pureflow 3. I could not find any more Pureflow 3 in my size so I had to switch to Pureflow 4. They did not have the same comfort as the Pureflow 3 so I decided to try the Pureflow 5. It was absolutely the worst six mile run of all times. My feet screamed with pain. I was well aware I had these shoes on. It felt like I was running in blocks of wood. No give what so ever. Bottom line the I am going to have to go to an actual shoe store and find a pair of shoes since Pureflow 3 is not found anywhere now. If someone out there finds a pair of Pureflow size 11 women's please let me know! Thank goodness I can return these shoes because I bought the from Roadrunner Sports. And they have an excellent return policy.

This was my third pair of Flows but size 8 was too small and size 8½ was not right either. I am a jazzercise instructor and my feet were sliding around a bit. I am going to try the Cadence line and see how those are, otherwise I will seach for some Flows in my size 8.

I am a true Brooks fan for many years. I stand all day at work and walk for my exercise. I usually get the PureCadence, but loved the look of this shoe and thought it would be a similar fit. They look great, but do run small as many have mentioned. The comfort level is pretty good, with my orthotic and a Dr Scholl on top makes it feel comfy. But the reason I have to send these back is the tongue of the shoe. It is just a bit longer than any of my other Brooks, and kind of cuts into my front of my ankle. I tried to kind of fold the extra material, but it just isn't comfy, and for the cost, I shouldnt have to fold any part of a shoe to be comfortable. Sadly, these are going back.

I was hoping the reviews would be wrong because I love the style of these- but there is little to no arch support, the tongue is stiff and uncomfortable, and even in a half size up my toes feel squished. I ordered the Launch 3 instead and couldn't be more pleased with those.

This shoe is MUCH different than the previous versions of the PureFlow. I've loved this shoe from the beginning, but am afraid this will be my last pair. The shoe is much less flexible, runs about a half size smaller than previous models, and worst of all it has a sharp tongue! And I mean that literally! The edge of the tongue is unusually long and sharp, so it touched the front of my ankle above my sock and, while running, cut my skin. I had bleeding wounds on the front of both ankles at the end of my run. I had to cut the tongue down and cover it with duct tape b/c it's still sharp, but at least now doesn't touch my skin. The general comfort of the shoe is fine, though the heal is a bit overly stable.

I've loved Brooks Pure Connect. But since that line isn't available, I went with Brooks.com fit suggestion, Pure Flow. Although I love the style, I'm very disappointed. As soon as I put them on, I could tell they were way too tight and narrow. But I wondered if I'd grown too used to my well-worn old pair. After 10 minutes wearing these around the house, my feet are numb. There is no room for a minimal-style toe spread that I've grown to know and love. The ball is way too cushioned and there is no "road feel". Feels like a pair of Nikes! So sad. Back to the running store to start over for a fitting.

I decided to ignore some of the previous reviews because I'd ordered the PureFlow 4 and thought I'd found THE running shoe for me. Unfortunately, the toe bed did feel smaller and made them uncomfortable. Too bad.

I have been racing in my Pure Flow 4's and love them. Was super excited about the Flow 5's until I put them on. Now VERY disappointed! They are SO tight in the toe box, even after going up a half size. It's like they took height away so it smashes my toes and doesn't give them any room to splay out, which is how your foot is suppose to work when you are running. They didn't feel anymore cushiony than the Flow 4's but seemed OK. Really surprised Brooks went backwards on this updated design. Make sure and order at least a half size bigger or these will surely be too tight. Cute design and color.

I have two pairs of Pure Flow 1. Which I loved and have used to death. I just started training for my first half and I knew that I would need a new pair of shoes. These are so much tighter than Pure Flow 1 that I need half a size up from what I normally wear in running shoes. The toe box is so much smaller and they do not have that could like feel. I am going to try half a size bigger. But the thing I am worried about bothering me the most is the tongue! It goes up way too high and since it is plastic and flat with a hard point to the end of it then it jams into my ankle. even with my socks covering that part of my lower ankle I am not sure that it will not rub that spot too much.

Brooks? What have you done to your "Pure" collection? I have purchased many from this line and these were the only ones that were so uncomfortable and blistered my feet. So disappointed! whoever is making these now, they're way off on everything.

Do NOT buy these shoes unless you only run on pavement. If you run on trails...or even just walk through a park, the shoes accumulate mud/dirt and cleaning them is a major hassle. First time I have been disappointed in a Brooks shoe. (And the tongue on the shoe is super stiff and uncomfortable!)

This shoe has a major flaw: the tongue has a sharp edge that digs into your ankle. I have worn this model for years, but do not buy this one

listen to all reviews - the tongue sucks! it really does hit you in the ankle and feels like it is going to cut into your leg.

I loved the Brooks Pure Connect line, and wore those for the past 5+ years. I was bummed they got rid of that line, but when I heard that this was the next best thing, I went for it. It is nothing like the old ones! These shoes were extremely uncomfortable for me; they felt too narrow (and I do not have particularly wide feet), made my big toes go numb and rubbed blisters. I thought I just ordered a size too small at first, but after exchanging them for a larger size, experienced the same issues.

I've only worn Pure Flow for years. Every version is smaller and more uncomfortable. I typically wear 7/7.5. I tried 8 and 8.5 in these and still can't wear them! I had blisters on my heels and toes, and from the sharp tongue after 10 minutes. Awful awful awful! It's time to find a new brand.
