I have run in all four previous Pure Flow models and loved them all. I was looking forward to this new model however, it was really disappointing. The toe box is very narrow and there is not much give to the material. Also, the tongue of the shoe is a very stiff material and actually rubbed on the front of my ankle. I know it would rub a blister on an actual run. While Brooks says this shoe is four ounces lighter than the previous model, it is not as cushioned as the Pure Flow 4 either. I will be exchanging the shoes for the Pure Flow 4 and hopefully Brooks will do better next time.

I purchased these shoes elsewhere in the blue color before I realized Zappos carried them. They are so comfortable I think I will order the pink as well. I like a more minimalist shoe but for longer runs I need a little cushioning. They fit me true to size. In the past I have worn the Pure Connect and the Pure Cadence but I like this one better. Fantastic running shoes. And Zappos service can't be beat!

I've been running in Brooks PureFlow since the 2. I was really excited about the 5 because of the look and modifications. Toe box is much smaller and felt a lot more narrow than the 4. The tongue was a problem for me on the right shoe only. I ran 3 times in them and had to return because of the size and the tongue that cut the top of my foot. I got another pair of the 4s, so my feet are happy. I was excited about how pretty the new ones were. The ball seems like there is more cushioning and causes a little "rocking".

These shoes are crazy comfy! They run a half size small so bump it up by that. I bought 7.5 even though I wear a 7 and that was perfect. And they are very lightweight shoes. I love them. Brooks is the only brand I can pull out of the box and wear them comfortably without a "breaking in" period.

I love these shoes. I've run in them, walked all across Paris in them and slipped them on for groceries. They're super cute but also extremely comfortable for everyday use. When the time comes I'll be ordering another pair for myself.

I normally wear bright outlandish show colors but decided to try something alittle more quiet! I absolutely loved these! I'm a nurse and spend most of days on my feet, at first they felt alittle tight but are good only after one day of wear! The tongue has padding that makes them feel snug so I have to wear a thinner sock! I have recieved many complaints on them as well!! ??

I followed the advice given by others on the fit size of running smaller. I ordered bigger by half size and they fit beautifully. Very comfortable. If you have plantar fasciitis issues these sneakers are for u.

Very comfortable right out of he box. Colors are very vibrant.I really was surprised by the cushion & how light the shoe is. Exactly what I was looking for.

Bought these for my wife. She's a nurse on her feet for 12+ hrs per shift. Suffers from moderate plantar fasciitis. So far so good. She likes them. Brooks overall are great!

These are my favorite gym shoes. I wear them for my daily 4 mile walking commute. They fit like a glove and are soft and strong and comfortable.

This is a great shoe, so far, and has good shock absorption. But--as many reviewers have noted--its marked too small in size. I am a size 9.5, and size 10.5 of this shoe fits me well. The size 10 squished my toes. I have low-volume, long feet, so I liked the fact that this shoe fits my type of foot, which usually "swim" in shoes that fit me length-wise. The tongue is an issue on bare skin, but over socks that cover that part of my ankle its ok

If you are using these shoes for running, they are just right. I switched to Brooke about 4 years ago and haven't looked back. I have narrow feet and high arches and always feel supported in these shoes. Just remember, running shoes should be 1/2 size bigger JD you're distance running. If you're looking for a gym shoe, the Launch is a better show for your needs.

LOVE THESE!!! I wear an orthotic and usually order a 1/2 size up, but when I got them I hadn't. I just took out the lining, put in my orthotic and couldn't be happier. These sneakers are great looking and VERY comfortable!!! I'm so happy I found them.

Fit my narrow feet! Lots of good support!

My dress shoe = 9.5 but I wear 10.5 in Saucony & Brooks athletic shoes so I say this runs TRUE to ATHLETIC sizing. It does run narrow; looks great. Will be wearing for casual walking in yoga or street clothes. Black color is great way to wear stylish "sneaker" look this season into winter. Zappos has the best size selection right now!

I like the fit of the shoe but not as much arch support as I need. Also the white around the bottom would probably look dirty most of the time. I need to find one with a color on the bottom and better arch support.

These shoes are a good replacement for the PureConnect that I can't find anymore. Order a half size up since they're a little tight. Cute and comfy, can't complain!

Absolutely LOVE! I have previously bought pure cadence brooks workout shoes and wore them for 4 years before I finally needed a new pair and I love these ones just as much!! I have to take out the insole and put in my own special orthodic and these shoes are perfect for that!! Also very cute colors! I also usually buy a size 8 tennis shoe to fit my special insole in but for these I had to get a half size bigger.

Toe box is extremely too narrow which is too bad I have worn these for years. I loved the simple black and white though!

I have the pure flow 4 and I love them! Just bought these as a back up pair. Great arch support, best of any sneaker I've ever tried on. I have totally flat feet with collapsing arches. I took out the thin inner sole and added in my custom orthotics, they fit great. Love the black color! Brooks usually has crazy colors. Great for walking, running or just around the house, errands.

These shoes are amazing and well worth the cost. They are light as a feather and have the arch and ankle support of hiking boots. When I tried them out of the box I was struck by the idea that I didn't want to ever wear a shoe that was less comfortable than this one. I enthusiastically recommend these great walking shoes!

Extremely comfortable shoe right out of the box. I ordered 1/2 size up for workouts. It was still a little snug but still comfortable. Definitely has good support.

I love the close fit of these shoes. Others have said the tongue bothers them, I do not have any complaints about it. I use them for a boot camp type workout not for running.
