If you liked Levis 529 Curvy Bootcut you may be very disappointed! These do not fit the same! The 529's fit me perfect, but the 815's are more like Skinny Bootcut jeans! Thinner in the leg all the way down! I did comparison measurements with my 529's (I have several pair) and the new 815 jeans I just received - which, by the way, all claim the same measurements: 30x32. The 815's lose an inch at the hip (9" down from the waistband) as well as at the knee. Nice to know that I have been downsized again. I will be trying again with a size up to see if there is any significant change in hip and leg measurement, but I am not too hopeful, as the waist measurement will likely increase at the same increment leaving me with a pair of jeans that fit like every other brand that I have tried - uncomfortably tight at hip and leg and ridiculously baggy at the waist. Aside from that, the material is solid and soft and the style is what you'd expect. I just cannot give higher ratings because, for me, Levi's has failed on this updated version of a perfectly sound fitting original. Bring back the 529's!

This is not even close to being an acceptable substitute for the old curvy cut. The quality of the material is appalling - 20% polyester and as thin as muslin! The sizing is a joke - how many pairs are we supposed to buy before we get. When I shop for jeans I am looking for denim, not this synthetic rubbish! What an atrocious product. And the dare to charge the same! Mr. Strauss is rolling in his grave.
I'd also recommend:
Who like this rubbish? I would recommend the trash can.

I have a smaller waist and a larger butt, which means for years I had to deal with that annoying back gap in my jeans. I always had to wear a belt to get rid of it or else deal with exposure every time I bent over. So I looked at online reviews for the solution and came back again and again to people recommending the old version of this jean, which was the Levi's Supreme Curve. This is the updated version. I bought it a few weeks ago and it's just perfect. Finally, I get a jean that isn't too loose at the waist but also fits everywhere else. If you've been plagued by the same problem, I definitely recommend trying this jean out.

Two words: Not curvy. Like at all. Not even 'relaxed'. More like skinny jeans in fit. If you're looking for tight-fitting jeans for your 13 year old daughter, these might work. For an adult female with even mild curves, forgetaboutit. Look elsewhere.

Since when did Levis turn into all stretchy fashion pants? What happened to the sturdy Levis I've known and loved my entire life?

I have been wearing Levi's 529s long length for years. Alas, they have discontinued those. So I tried these new Levis regular length and they are a great substitute. Had to figure out the new sizing but I tried a couple and got my size worked out.

I love these jeans. I read one review that made the comment that if you have curves, these aren't the jeans for you. I disagree!! I like that these jeans have room for my curves but don't accentuate them. They fit well and don't bunch up around the middle. I would definitely buy these jeans again.

The butt to waist ratio is still right, same as the 529, but these are definitely slimmer through the thighs. Not a bad thing but I have to get serious about losing those pesky five pounds to be comfortable in these.

I am 5'6", 130 lb, with strong thighs and gluts, and a tapered waist. I have struggled for years to find pants that fit my athletic thighs without either: a gap in the waistline that I could tuck a cat in to, or a crotch so low I had to hitch the pants up to walk up stairs comfortably. Or both! I hadn't tried Levis in years, and at a friend's suggestion I tried the 815 (and the 811). I LOVE them! They are super comfortable, the fabric is nice and soft, and the fit is amazing. I got 28" waist, 32" length. No gap at the back! None. I don't even need to wear a belt. I can squat down to pet my dog and my underwear doesn't show. I'm getting more pairs. Thanks, Levis, for making pants for women with thighs and butts.

I've been wearing the 529s in a size 8 which have gotten a little snug and the 815s in a size 30 are just right. They do have quite a bit of stretch which I think makes them very comfortable. And there's no gapping at the waist. If your looking for some sizing guidance, I also have a pair of the Denizen by Levis in curvy fit (from Target) in a size 10 and these 815s in a size 30 are very comparable, but seem to be a slightly nicer fabric although with a similar amount of stretch to the Denizens.

Like most I'm a hard core lover of the 529 curvy. I tried these after reading another wearer had a hid experience. I promised I'd write a more complete review. I wear a size 8 in the 529 which is a 29 waist/32 long. I ordered 32 waist & they fit fine where we all struggle with thighs/butt to waist, but I could've dropped the waist to 30 (minimize tightness). These will work as a replacement thankfully!

I ordered a size up from what I would normally choose in pants. These jeans are NOT meant for curvy women. Perhaps curvy girls. I couldn't even pull them up past my hips. Even though I couldn't pull them all they way, it was also obvious that they were NOT a 33" inseam. Not even close (too short). Very disappointing.

Comfy, classic jeans, with nice stretch that keeps them in shape all day. Not too 'Mom', not too hipster. The waist rise is perfect, and the closer fit at the thigh combined with the bootcut is very flattering. The best part is the price, these look great and are 1/4 the cost of other brands - other brands that aren't nearly as flattering to the figure. Levi's, still the way to go.

Great jeans. I have larger thighs and they are little tight there, but they aren't through the hips. There isn't a gap in the waist which is awesome. Loved them so much I ordered another pair.

This would probably fit perfectly if I would've gone up 1 or even 2 sizes. It runs extremely small and the zipper is very short so just getting it over my hips was tough! Nice soft brushed fabric.

Didn't love the color on these. They have those horizontal lines across the front pockets. I guess it's supposed to emulate a worn look but I think it's unflattering. Horizontal lines widen your figure!

I am struggling to get the right fit. I purchased the first pair according to the dimensions given and while I could get into them easily, they were snug. A lot of women wear them that way. I do not. I like a little room. I figured going up a size would get me just the right amount of give. There was no difference between the 29 and the 30. In fact, the 30 seemed tighter around the waist than the 29. I note that the box says "returns dept." which makes me wonder if they are mis-sized to begin with. At any rate, I'll hold off and go into a brick & mortar store where I can try on to find my size before buying. Zappos is great and this method is easy enough but disappointing. I do love the overall cut and think they're a good replacement for the 529s. I could tell, even with the too-tight pairs, that they will be comfortable with the slightly stretchy denim and neither too high or too low waist.

I don't know why these are called "curvy" because they are cut very tight through the upper leg and hip. I am not a large person and these jeans are not cut generously. I purchase for horseback riding. The one good thing is the very stretchy material. Back to my less-stretchy Levis 515 bootcut.

So disappointed! These are not even close to the 529 curvy bootcut they claim to replace. Very thin material. I returned them and will find another brand instead.
