I'm 5'3", short-waisted, 125 lbs., and typically wear a 2 (26) or 4 (27) in jeans. In Levis, 27 is usually the better fit. The sizing of these jeans is all over the place depending on the fabric content, and all of the colors have a different content. This makes it VERY difficult to order online. The colors with the highest amount of cotton (75% or higher) run small, and you need to go up a size - I needed a 28 (size 6) in the Cast Shadows and the Vintage Blues, and I NEVER wear a 6 in anything. 70% or lower in the cotton content, and your regular size should work. The 27 in Blue Story was a good fit. I liked the fit and feel of the Soft Black in a 27 the best. Ironically, I didn't order Soft Black, but it was shipped to me by accident instead of the Cast Shadows. I didn't need black, so I sent them back. Now for the feel: Cast Shadows and Vintage Blues, the colors with the highest amount of cotton, were both very stiff and scratchy. So much so, that they were uncomfortable. The Blue Story and the Soft Black felt soft and were both like a smooth second skin. These are also the colors which were true to size. While the Blue Story fit well, the ankle opening was smaller than that of the others and the rise was slightly higher. Alas, every pair was returned. Due to the inconsistent sizing, these might be a tough online purchase. The best advice I can give is to go up a size and expect a stiffer material in the colors having more cotton. For those with less cotton, expect the jeans to be softer and true to size. If the colors I wanted fit and felt like the black ones, I'd have kept every one. If you can find a pair that works, this is a great jean. Nice fit, tight but not constricting, and no muffin top!

I usually do not even bother with reviews, but this product calls for one. The High Rise on these are perfection! The fit is perfection! I am 5'4", 140 pounds, size 28 with a longer torso. I ordered these in Windblown and the verdict: I am blown away! For lighter color jeans - they make me look super thin/lean. I must admit the size 28 might be just a little too sexy (still amazing comfort and hold, but sexy). I am keeping them fore sure! And will order another pair in a 29 and darker color when I want to be more conservative. I have thrown so much money away over the years on 7 for all mankind, Paige, Hudsons, etc - all of which were not for my body type. I just packed all my over priced jeans away (possibly giving them away, to my 20 year old niece) and will just stick to Levi's! Only Levi's for my jean collection from now on! Comfortable and sexy - you cannot beat that! And for this price, I will be ordering pairs in other colors. I am 40! And a busy mom! I also bought the Levi's 712 slims in Cast Shadows and let me say they are equally stunning! One last comment: Zappos Rocks! As usual = )

these are by far one of my favorite pants, i'm a size 16. and wear a size 33. finally a pair of high wastes pants that fit and hold in your love handles.

Levi's 721 in Soft Black: terrible, low-quality fabric. Do not waste your money. At first these jeans fit so well, that I ordered a second pair. However, I could only wear them 2 or 3 times until they stretched out completely - going from super skinny to baggy "mom jeans". They did not even stretch out evenly. The fabric is so puckered around the crotch area, that they are now unwearable. Worst pair of jeans I have ever bought. I wish I could return them. (The second pair I bought, in Cast Shadows, is actually a good pair of jeans and did not stretch out more than they should.)

Very pleased with these high rise jeans. The 'Cast Shadows' has a vintage 70's style wash/look. I am 5'5" and 125lbs and they fit like a glove (size 27, 30" inseam). Go really well with boots. Great price for the look.

I love how it fits and how comfortable it feels. The only problem was that the sizing was way off. I purchased a Wedgie Fit not that long ago and i got size 28. This time I ordered a size 29 to have a little bit more room. When I tried it on, it was really fitted and no extra room at all. I will still keep it but I just don’t like how the sizing goes.

This was my year to find the best fitting jeans for my body, and the high rise 721 skinny fulfilled that. I'm 5'9" and the 32/30 is a perfect fit. I weigh 152. (32 is a size 14, interestingly, because in all other brands of jeans, I wear a size 10). I held the Levi size 14 up to a pair of my size 10's that were not Levis, and the waist was the same. So disappointing that I wear a size 14 in levis, but when I put them on, they look like a size 10, so I'm okay with that. I could have gotten a 31, or size 12, but why squish myself in them, and I wanted to feel comfortable until night time wearing jeans, and that's how they are, and yet, still figure flattering too. I'm sold. 30 length is perfect for me and being 5'9", getting a perfect length has been near impossible. I have never hemmed any pair of jeans my whole adult life, to give you an idea. They usually have been 1-2 inches too short. I got the soft black color, and for anyone worried about fading, wash them inside out. I also got the dark blue color and they both fit the exact same. I ordered the light blue color for summer, and other reviewers said maybe go down a size in those? I'll see, supposed to be delivered tomorrow, and if so will return and do that. Bottom line, these are the only jeans I will ever wear now, they are that good fitting, and happy to have black, dark blue and then a light blue soon. They fit me like a glove, almost like a seamstress measured me then made a pair of jeans for me. Perfect.

I have worn levis all my adult life and love their versatility. I love this 721 high rise. I wear them every day - this is my 3rd pair. I am 5'9" tall and 125 lbs. I purchased size waist 30; length 32. The 32" length is finally long enough to reach my shoes without showing my socks. The material is sturdy enough to work in the garden but still soft and with a decent amount of stretch so wearing them is just about as comfortable as wearing leggings. The high rise sits right above above the hips for a really comfortable, secure fit.

I have a high waist (height 5'7"), and my waist-to-hip ratio is close to 0.7 (29/40), so finding jeans that fit well is a challenge (waist not high enough, waist too loose, hips too tight). On me, these are the ideal fit. The fabric is heavy but has some stretch and is comfortable to wear all day. It doesn't have that flimsy feel of other skinny jeans that I've found fall apart after a year of regular wear (I almost live in black jeans). I bought size 29 and am delighted with them. Might not wear as easily through the summer as my flimsier skinny jeans did, but in these cold winter months these are perfect. And these black jeans look polished enough for work.

Just what I wanted! I wear these to work and they are super comfy and the high rise sits perfectly so you don’t have to keep pulling them up or worrying anything is showing in the back when sitting all day. Color is a perfect medium denim and they are not too stretchy but enough so that they don’t cut into your skin.

Really like these jeans. I feel that they run true to size, if not a tiny bit small. I typically wear a 27 in jeans (4 dress size, 5'8", 140 lbs), and I bought a 27x30. They do fit pretty slim, but that is what I was looking for. If you want a bit more room, I would size up. They also hit right below my ankles, making them perfect for all types of shoes.

Love these jeans, I have 3 pair. They are comfortable and keep their shape all day. I was recently on an airplane for 6 hours and they looked just as good as they did when I started my flight.

I wear a size 6 in most pants. I'm 5 7 and 143 and size 29 fit perfect.

Ordered a 28 but felt like a 26. I measured the waistband and it was a 27

Fits perfectly! Ive been kicking around in the mid rise for a while now but felt it was time to get a high waisted pair of black denim so I can tuck in that lil muffin top and look more put together. I ordered my usual 29 in 28. I’m 5’5” about 140lbs with a bit of bootie. It’s stretchy but holds its shape. Only drawback is that it’s thinner and unlike regular denim. And it fades a lot faster but that’s probably due to the less water waste dyeing method. I’m all about water conservation. I bought two.

I love how it fits and the material. It is true to size. It’s just the perfect pair of jeans.

I though these were the best Levis I have tried on in many years. Waist hits perfect and stretch was not sagging at the end of the day. Would buy again

I am 5’6” and 135, small waist and a butt. I loved these. They are perfect. I ordered a 27X30. They’re perfect length and fit. Actually snug on my stomach for once!!

The fit is great. I was looking for high rise black jeans to avoid "muffin top" and these are great. They are stretchy and comfortable and pass my test of " would I wear these on a plane?" The price is terrific. I have only washed them once and so far they look good. I hope they don't fade.

These are truly high rise, which I wanted. The fabric is typical denim with lots of stretch. For the price, I love them. I am 5'4", 145 lbs and the size 30 is okay, but I am keeping the 31 for better comfort. I don't know how much they will stretch with wearing.

First of all, I'm so excited to find such a deal on Levi's---they are such a great brand! I ordered these jeans in soft black after trying on a pair of the 711 skinnies and finding them a little too low for comfort. The 721s are perfect for anyone who wants the support and shape of a higher rise without the bulk of a "mom jean" rise. I am fairly long in the torso and short in the leg and the 28" inch inseam was perfect for me. The rise comes just under my natural waist. I was, and still am, quite impressed with the recovery of the elastic in these jeans! I've had problems in the past with stretch fabric in pants going from figure-hugging to baggy by the end of one day. These stretch just enough to not restrict any movement but snap right back into shape (note: I will be washing these in cold water and air-drying to make sure this feature continues for as long as possible). Bottom line, they are comfortable, flattering and durable. I will definitely be purchasing more.

Levi's 721 "Grey game" looks very stylish and hipster. The fit is perfect and true to size.
