*Almost Perfect*
I have been looking for a new hobo style bag for quite a while. I've ordered and returned a few from various retailers. When my search started, this bag kept popping up, and I eventually decided to give it a try. It is almost exactly what I was wanting. If it were just a couple inches wider, it would be perfect, but it's a keeper.
Materials: The tag says "Body: 100% Leather, Trim: 100% Polyurethane, Lining: 100% Polyester"
It is definitely leather, and has a soft texture due to the way it is processed. I bought the "Tobacco" color, and it's a nice warm cognac shade that will be perfect for everyday use. It is not a structured handbag, but it does have a nice flat bottom that it sits on. If you have stuff in it, it will not fall over, but it will drape into itself. While wearing it, the soft leather falls just right, for a comfortable fit.
The lining on the exterior pockets matches the color of the bag, but the interior is a multicolored fabric with a basket weave design. I do wish the lining matched the bag throughout.
The strap is a great length for wearing as a shoulder bag, I feel it would work for most people, no matter your height. The size is great for carrying a checkbook wallet, makeup bag, keys, reusable shopping bag, and a few other items inside, with a perfect pocket on the back that you can slip your phone into for easy access. The attached keychain is cute, but I replaced it with my favorite fob.
I would recommend this bag if you like it based on the pictures. It did not disappoint.

I really wanted to love this purse. Visually, its a gorgeous bag - simple, yet elegant. The problem is it does not function well for me.
First, I'm not used to having to take my purse off my shoulder to open it. I'm used to a longer strap. This is my problem, not the purses.
Second, the exterior zippers are a bit rough ie they don't glide smoothly. Opening and closing felt clumsy.
Last, the back slip pocket is useless to me. It swallows my iphone 5, and is too small for any other single item. Small items would sink to the bottom and I can't get my hand into it to retrieve them. Ideally I would use an outside slip pocket for my keys, but they are too bulky for this pocket. IMO, Sak needs to re engineer this feature.
On the positive side, I will say again, its a beautiful purse. Very nice leather, and I like the decoration that hangs on one side.
Its a nice size - not too big, but holds a reasonable amount of stuff. The inside slip pockets are perfect for a smaller phone, glasses, pens and pencils etc. Inside zip pocket is nice and roomy, great for reciepts, extra money, anything you need to keep safe.
I give this four stars as I believe it will work better for someone else than it did for me.

This is the right size purse for every day. I carry a bottle of water, iPhone, Kindle, sunscreen, and large wallet every day, and still stuff pens, lip balm, hand cream, and other items in there. The tiny exterior pocket is perfect for car keys, so you don’t have to dig for them and always know where they are. The zippered exterior pocket is perfect for stuff you don’t want to lose- I keep receipts in there so they don’t get ripped by me digging around in the purse. I am an average sized woman and the shoulder strap is perfect for me. I have a lot of other handbags but this one gets used the most.

Having never purchased a Sak bag before, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised, as this bag fit all the needs I had. I bought the bag to accompany me on a 15-day trip through Ireland and Scotland. I only brought a backpack and this bag, and the Sak's capacity was impressive. It held all my liquids, makeup, phone, charger, sunglasses/case, a notebook, passport, and a variety of other things I needed to have with me with ease. As another reviewer noted, the bag charm isn't that great (for my style) so I just took it off. The exterior slip pocket was handy for my transit card and train tickets and also could fully accommodate my iPhone 7 in its case. I'm 5'4" and I felt that the bag was good for my size; while held over my shoulder it was comfortable to rest my hand over the top zipper and hold the strap as I walked. The leather also responded well to the Hibernian and Caledonian weather... it got wet, but it wasn't fazed.

I love the sak. It’s my jam. This purse is actual leather, plenty of pockets. Huge without looking like a glorified tote bag. Falls off my shoulder a bit, but that happens to me with most bags. I have petite shoulders or something.

I wanted to love this bag, but the color was lighter than it looked in the picture online and the strap was too long. Also, after a few days the stitching started to come loose on the side of the bag and without it being repaired, it was going to come completely undone. I was a little disappointed as I'm usually very pleased with bags from The Sak.

I love the look and size of this purse but I have not even used it three full weeks and the "leather" is peeling. The coating is peeling off like old paint and I am very angry that I have a ratty looking purse within 3 weeks of use. This is not a particularly expensive purse when compared to high end, but it certainly is not cheap, and for $170 I expect it to last at least a year, not 3 weeks.

I have two other colors of this item, that is how much I love it! The red is a terrific color and did not disappoint! More like a red wine color than a bright red, which was exactly what I wanted! I LOVE this purse. I'm pretty finicky when it comes to my purse and this one meets my needs so well I have two of them - one in the yellow color (spring/summer) and one in the burgundy (fall/winter). Strap is about 10" long which for me is perfect so it is easy to put on my shoulder (my friends make fun of me because if my elbow gets caught up in the act when I am putting the purse on my shoulder, i'm not pleased - yeah, finicky). There is a nice zip pocket outside for keys and such, and a outside slip pocket for your phone. Also one zip and two slip pockets inside. It's the perfect size and the colors are lovely. Good quality.

This is a fantastic purse especially if you don't want to carry a heavy shoulder bag. It's large enough for my phone, wallet, and some personal items. I really love it!

Bag is gorgeous and mine did have floral in the inside it was just brown, which is way prettier. Bag doesn't slip off my shoulders and doesn't have cheap leather feel or weird odor, just order it already if your thinking of it??

The Sak bags are so well made that it’s all I buy now! Quality leather and workmanship. The black Sequoia Hobo one I got did not have brassy looking metal, but more silvery than expected - which I preferred anyway, so that was a surprise!! The zippers are more brassy gold and they slide just a little bit rough. But there’s no gold stitching on the bag and the rest of the metal parts are more silver than gold, and all together it really works and looks great!!!
The lining is a solid tan color, and I wish ot has a colored pattern instead so it won’t show the dirt as much over time…because these bags are so well made they last for years!!
And all the pockets and size of purse is so PERFECT for me and so easy find things, and the strap is VERY comfortable. The purse hangs at just the right length so that you can rest your hand on it comfortably.
It’s a great bag and very well designed!! The exterior zipper pocket fits my iPhone 11 perfectly!

This is my 4th purchase of this bag - so apparently I like it a lot! I have black, yellow, and sienna colors as well. The bag is all leather, which does make it a bit heavier for daily use than some other similar bags. The bag is very well made, the lining is nice, has some useful pockets, closes securely, and hold a lot (probably too much!) stuff. Great for car trips! Papaya color is beautiful for Fall. Wish I could find a leather wallet of the same quality.

This is a great bag! The little outside pocket fits my keys which I can reach with my fingers. The outside zipper pocket is perfect for my phone. The inside is organized. I don’t see any stitching problems. The cream color leather is very nice. I can reach in there when it’s on my shoulder if I need to, but maybe I’m more flexible than others. UsuallyI puts bag down to look inside. I don’t like shoulder bags to be too long. The zippers are sturdy and ok. Maybe that’s the look. It stands up and is easy to access inside. Looks like it will be my summer favorite! I like the brushed nickel hardware better than the brassy color so many other bags have.
