New Balance has hit a new low. 10 years ago you could order any New Balance shoe in your size and it would fit. 3 years ago that was no longer true but at least when you found a shoe that fit, it was consistent when you reordered the same model. Today that is no longer true. I'm returning my recent order because the same model, in the same style, version, color and size, no longer fits. It is a full size smaller than the shoes I ordered less than a year ago.

I got the 4E and they are much too tight. After loosening the laces completely they are still too tight. These are much narrower then the same size 11 4E in the older 1005 model and also the 623 model that both fit me perfectly. I will need to return these.

This is a nice shoe and fits well, however today I noticed that the upper part of each shoe has splits in it. I've been playing on this shoe for at least 8 months and doesn't have a lot of the sole worn yet. I didn't think the shoe should have a split. Never had problems with the other NB styles.

It took a visit to an actual New Balance store and having my feet measured to realize that my size had changed and that I actually needed a wide width. Now that I'm wearing the correct size, my feet are comfortable and my toes don't get jammed when I'm playing. These shoes are great right out of the box and don't require any break in period.

I have worn these shoes since I believe it was the 1002 model. Disappointed that NB stopped with the 1005. The newly designated 1006 is close enough to regain this tennis playing customer. Welcome back NB!

I had to wear my orthotics because little to no support in this shoe. ASICS Resolution 6 wide were much better but they do not make the wide fit anymore. What a shame. Trying to work these shoes with my orthotics.

Love my 1006's. Only problem is NB has been out of my favorite black and the blue versions of this shoe. I've been waiting for these colors but no luck. So needed to but white this time.

I use these shoes for pickleball and racquetball. The fit is excellent for my foot (12.5, 2E). Provides good support. The sole has good grip on concrete for pickleball, but not as good on wood for racquetball. Based on past experience, the durability is much better than the more expensive Fresh Foam X Lav V2. I wish they came in black. I don't like white shoes, but put up with it for the fit and support.

I have two lousy ankles and an ankle brace that requires ee wide tennis shoes. I play tennis 3 times a week. I need a shoe that accommodates this. The NB 1006 fills all of those requirements right out of the box. I will buy again when these shoes need replacing.
