I would like to write a review on behalf of the wives of men everywhere who may be considering these shoes. Unbeknownst to me, my normally quite stylish husband purchased these "beauties" persuaded by the raving reviews. Men, do not do it! If you are contemplating purchasing these shoes, it means that you have reached that part of your life where you inevitably start buying things just for the comfort of it. That means it is all downhill from here. Aside from their geriatric contours, they are so plastic feeling they actually squeak. I mean, if you are going to buy these shoes why not just commit all the way and get the ones with Velcro? "They are waking shoes," says my husband. "For the mall," says I. "They got great reviews!" Says the husband. "From AARP." Says I. That vasectomy my husband has been putting off? No need to make the appointment. As long as he is in possession of these shoes, we are safe. For the sake of your wife's happiness. For the sake of humanity please buy some cooler looking kicks, guys.

Okay ... so I read Meghan's review of her husband's "unauthorized" purchase of these shoes and had a good laugh. And, while it is true that I am on the senior side of life I also manage to get out and run 5- 6 miles three or four times a week. I've also had a vasectomy so i think I should qualify as credible counterpoint to Meghan. I wanted something other than my running shoes to get around in and these are perfect. They fit great, are very comfortable and still look good to me ... and my beautiful wife. I'm still a long way from velcro! My multicolored bright running shoes are all the fashion I really need on my feet. So guys, do not be dissuaded ... these shoes are great. You will not be stamped as an AARP member if seen wearing them.

I just started to fast walk an hour each morning while in between employment. Had a very old pair of NB that was giving me foot cramps. These felt great the moment I put them on. Have only had a week but still feel great. I am also about 250 lbs.

Good fit. Very light weight. Wore them all day and didn't even know I had shoes on.

My sons 18 and 17 love them... We had return for a smaller size. My boys are bummed they have to actually be departed from the greatest shoe ever... They even liked them so much they said they would stuff with socks. Im mom whatever my boys say goes... I need them to be comfortable. My boys are into comfort. My sons are smart enough not to care about what society says but to know its what they say that only matters. These are light weight. I put one on and man I can talk the difference from there huge over weighted shoes like Sketchers...Kswiss...and so on. Men like to be comfortable. Men don't need the horns and whistles. These are great shoes. Thanks Zappos for again being our families go to for great products and service.

Great walking sneakers! Actually fit to size unlike so many others. Roomy toe box and very light. NB needs to keep making this model. Zappos continues to wow me pair after pair, year after year.

Love this shoe. It’s made on the old platform which is one of New Balance’s best form fitting shoe. I actually wear a women’s 8.5 D, but opted for the men’s size 7 because of the great old platform which comes with Azorb. The women’s version, which I ordered and tried on side by side, did not have the Azorb and the break point in the foot was completely off. As soon as I put on these shoes, I knew this pair was the clear winner., lots of cushion with great arch support.

Bought these for my son who usually burns through shoes within 3 months time and that includes dc brand and Nike. While these he didn't think he'd like them at first once he put them on he was in love. He said these were the most comfortable shoes he's ever had and after a year he finally had a blow out and I just ordered him a second pair as per his request. So yes obviously I would buy these again and I recommend these to anyone who is on their feet all day.

I've gone through 2 pair of these in less than a year. Both times the mesh top has torn. I thought it was just a fluke the first time, but it seems to be a real weak point. They're very comfortable, just not worth the money if they don't last. Also, the laces are way too long. I had to cut off about 10"!

My review is of Megan K's review. I hope her review gives Zappos a reason to allow customers to "follow" fellow Zappos customers and their reviews. I would like to know how Megan feels about all kinds of products. She could be like a celebrity reviewer. A five star reviewer, if you will.

comfy shoes for walking and being on your feet all day

Great shoes. My husband put these on and went for a three mile walk and had no issue with the shoes, no blisters. They look good on him as well.

Unlike another review I think these shoes look great. They are very attractive and I'm proud to wear them. I was very pleased with Zappos from the initial order to final delivery. I love these shoes!

From reading most of all the reviews I thought that these shoes would be great for the price, but within 2 mins of trying them on they did NOT feel like 3Ewide that I ordered. Very dissatisfied. Returned same day I received them. Still waiting on the refund 7 days later. Will be VERY careful buying any more shoes here in the future. I went to DSW yesterday and bought 2 pairs of sneakers and dress shoes at a great price and was able to try them on first. Beware of size descriptions here! Don't believe all the positive reviews you read here too! A real shame because they did arrive fast, and the sandals I got last month were great.

I always wear a size eight and half in New Balance sneakers and the fit was perfect. I wear the shoes for exercise and running errands, very comfortable.

Great - last a long time, too. Recommended by my podiatrist as healthy for long walks.

I have had trouble buying walking shoes and my toenail on my left foot wearing a whole in the shoe. I have had these shoes for over a year and a half and they are still great! They are very comfortable! I walk about 2 miles a day, 6 days a week, year round and they have been the best pair of walking shoes I have ever had!

Shoe is fine/as expected after wearing New Balance for decades. Shipping by Zappos was slower than I'd like.
