I purchased this ECCO sport Biom Fjuel shoe after visiting the ECCO website and learning about all the design and engineering that went onto making the best shoes. I believe them! but on the pair of shoes, I received they seem to have made a big mistake on the design. Along the back inside heel of the shoe, they have decided to add a line of hard stitching that rubs the back of your foot as you walk, I doubt that with will get broken in over time as it has no place to go. I have only worn them for a day or so but I can feel that line of stitches every time I take a step. Shame this is a fine pair of shoes except for that! I may have a chat with Zappo and see what they recommend? ?Or return them.

This must be my 20th pair of ECCOS. At first, I rejected these because I don't like the trainer shoe look. I've been searching for a replacement of my beloved black Ecco Bioms (discontinued), to no avail (must have tried 10 pairs of shoes). These were the most comfortable for me, hands down. Ecco wins again.

I have bad feet which I'm on all day, and these are the most comfortable shoes I've found.

I ididn't order these shoes because they were on sale, I ordered these shoes as they were identical to my golf shoes, which I love! As soon as I put them on they felt a little tight (just like my golf shoes at first), After the second time wearing the shoes walking they started breaking in just fine. I wear work boots all day and can't wait to come home and put on these most comfortable shoes.
When Zappos asked for my comments, I saw that the shoe had gone on sale again. I was so disappointed that I couldn't take advantage of this great deal as I wanted to order another pair.
Ecco makes the greatest shoe for people who are on their feet and enjoying walking comfortably.
Very happy with these shoes. I seem to be a conservative person but my wife convinced me that the shoes had more personality with the different color shoe laces in them. I agree.

My disappointment comes after 3 pairs. In white they look great, feel good, and because I thought they were better for my feet I would have bought a fourth pair except for the fact they no longer come in white, rather its either a goofy looking black or euro gray and some of the other ecco's are now only in euro grays and earth tones. I'm going Merrell for my earth tone choice in shoe, and it looks like Merrells will last longer. For the price I thought the Ecco Biom in the yak leather would last a bit longer but they start to come apart at the seams after 12 to 18 months. I almost bought the $240 golf version of this shoe in white because I like them enough, but I found a pair of New Balance runners in white that are even more comfortable but at only $60! You really screwed up Ecco with all these goofy colors and nothing more conservative for casual wear.
I'd also recommend:
Merrell Asics

My husband LOVES these ECCOs. They fit perfectly, feel great and look amazingly fresh and stylish, almost like a dress shoe, but comfy like a sneaker. He has tons of ECCO styles and these are one of his top favorites. I love the way they look on him. Definite winner!

Positive: These feel like shoes from the future. I typically wear Asics or New Balance, and the toe on these Eccos doesn't have any of the seams other shoes have. It's one molded piece all the way around, and is really comfortable. It feels foam-like, which can be a good thing or bad thing depending on what you are looking for. The soles are comfortable, but I need more time to be sure. Seems like a well-made shoe.
Negative: Unlike other exercise shoes, these Eccos have an inner seam in the middle of the heel on the back. (It's where the plastic (rubber?) grey band curves around the heel on the outside of the shoe.) I've had to break these shoes in slowly because this seam rubs on the back of my heel and would leave a blister if I'm not careful. Just a warning. I'm still keeping the shoe because everything else is great about them.
Overall: I chose Eccos over New Balance or Asics because I believe the brand Ecco makes good shoes. I've had Ecco Seawalkers for years, and found they are comfortable in the beginning and for their entire life. I've had New Balance and Asics tennis shoes in the past, and after a certain point they seem to break down and are no longer comfortable. I'm hoping these Ecco tennis shoes live up to the rest of the Ecco line.

Great shoe from the moment you put it on. It seems to reach out to your foot instead of your foot sagging down to the shoe. The soft leather is comfortable without being too fragile. I have been wearing them in my Theater, getting 12 miles in steps every shift. Not slip resistant which makes me nervous in the kitchen. But style and comfort are tops.

Ecco shoes are first rate, comfortable and sizing is consistent. These are super soft leather, provide solid support and are fully up to Ecco standards. The color is also eye catching.

Bought these to wear at work. I sell cars and I am hard on my shoes. I've had these about 3 weeks and so far they have been excellent. Yak leather is very durable and high quality. I have the Ecco Rugged Track GTX Hiking boot, which is the best pair of shoes/boots I've ever purchased, and these are similar in that the leather is top notch, look amazing, and are very comfy. Literally no break-in period. They are light too. I would highly recommend this shoe, fits true to size also.

This is a really well made shoe with excellent arch support. A couple of notes. First, this is a leather shoe, so the white is not the bright white of a sneaker. Not bad, just different. Second, if the last is right for your foot, it is great. If not, not. I say this as someone who was having great trouble with the fit of the current generation of running shoes (which I used for walking). With this shoe I do not even need my custom orthotics. The one minus for me is the rather flat toe box, not narrow as there is plenty of forefoot room for my Taylors bunion, but the toe box could have been higher. I stretched the leather in that area and I seem to be good, but this is one case where style interfered with comfort. Sizing was ok. I ordered a 40 and it was maybe a little large. My 40 Ecco sandals are certainly shorter, but useful in this case because of the toe box.

Great arch support
A nanometer tight out of the box but 2 days of wearing and feels fine. Beaks in very quickly, the leather works, I suppose.

I had earlier purchased the ECCO Sport Biom Fjuel Racers, and loved them. Super comfortable and excellent fit. But he Fjuel Train are a disappointment. Clunky and way too wide. Sad to have to retrun them

This is the 2nd pair of these shoes that I have owned. I walk about 3 1/2 miles a day so I get a good idea of what a shoe is like. The first pair lasted about 2 years which is a lot longer than any sneakers I have owned prior. I wear Ecco boots and decided to give this shoe a try a couple of years ago. No regrets with this shoe even paying the price for it. One thing though, if you have a wide foot this shoe might not be the one for you. I have a fairly narrow foot and most shoes are too wide for me. That’s one reason I really like this shoe.

I agree with the comment about liking a slightly wider toe box. I wear Ecco Biom golf shoes (like at least 6 pair over the years) and they seem to fit a bit better with a bit wider toe box. But this is day #1 - so maybe these break in more. Otherwise, a very nice, sturdy, stylish and comfortable shoe.
I'd also recommend:
I buy primarily Ecco. I have some Merrels that I really like. And you can't beat Oofos slides.

This is my first pair of athletic Ecco Shoes. They took a little getting used to it first, but now they are my favorite shoes, and I wear them all the time. I love the fact that they have leather uppers! They are extremely stable under my feet, and I don’t think they will break down quickly, like so many of my athletic shoes have done.
I would recommend these to anyone looking for a great trainer shoe!

The minute I slipped these on I was struck by how good they feel on my feet. My wife's first comment was, "those look good enough that you could wear them to usher at church." What more needs to be said? One oddity, the lace on the right shoe was significantly shorter than the one on the left shoe, but an extra of laces that were the same length was included in the box.

Just an excellent shoe. Wonderful comfort with strong arch support. As a “walking shoe,” it’s been a great choice. Highly recommended.

I like this shoe a lot - Good looking and comfortable. It seemed to be a bit smaller than other Ecco shoes I have, but it could be that my feet have grown a bit. I have exchanged for the next size up and the new shoes fit great.
