I purchased this shoe to go with brown pants, as I absolutely love the black Haflinger Grizzlys I bought last month for black pants. Don't be put off by the fact that these are marketed as slippers. They work fine outside, even in snowy Colorado. It took months for me to find a comfortable shoe, so once I discovered Haflingers I decided I should stick with them. If anything, the Lacey is even more comfortable than the Grizzly, and that's saying a lot. Highly recommended, especially for hard-to-fit wide feet. For the record, I also have high arches, high insteps, a bunion, and metatarsal issues.

I got my first pair of Haflingers over 10 yrs ago, when I first started living on a concrete slab & the shin splints it gave me were horrific. I knew I needed something to cushion my feet, & the cork soles on the Haflingers looked promising. At the same time, I was looking for a slipper that would keep my feet warm w/out making them sweat. I'd been wearing shearling slippers up to that point, & they were warm until my feet started sweating, then they got cold again. Thus, I knew I needed something that would breathe as well as insulate. The boiled wool sounded perfect. Yes & YES! That first pair of Classic Grizzly Clogs did the job for 10 yrs -- no more shin splints & no more cold feet. The cork sole on the right slipper finally cracked last yr, so I just ordered these Lacey Clogs to replace them. Besides keeping my feet cushioned from yet another concrete slab & keeping them warm in the winter, they are also pretty! I just took one star off for style, because the Captain of Captain's Blue must be in the navy. It really is pretty dark, like a Navy Blue, or maybe a Navy Heather. I also said that they felt a half size larger, because after reading a lot of other reviews, I took a chance & ordered a 37. It was a chance, because my old Grizzlies were size 38. But the new Lacey in size 37 fits fine. Go figure. Seems like Haflinger may have changed their sizing in the past 10 yrs.

LOVE these!!! I tried several pair of similar slippers by Haflinger, Geisswein, and Birkenstock. These were the ones!! They fit just like the Haflinger Classic Grizzly, but with a more feminine style. In my opinion, these look more like shoes too. ;) They're amazing indoors, I have hardwood floors (and I'm 6 months pregnant!) so good supportive slippers are a must. I wanted something like my Birks sandals, and these totally fit the bill! Size-wise, they're a little wide, but I don't mind. They feel great. I'm typically a 7.5, and I ordered the 38 first, and they would have worked, but felt a little too loose. I ended up swapping for a 37. Perfect!

I bought the Haflinger Lacey in dark Charcoal to replace the Haflingers I've been wearing since 2007! Although the sole of this shoe is different than my previous pair, it is still sturdy and non-slip. I have worn these outside on rainy, leafy streets with no issues. The "Lacey" style is cute, maybe a little dressier and feminine than "classic" style. A word on fit: I wear an 8 or 8.5 in US sizes and ALWAYS wear a 38 in European sizes. (For some reason size charts always say a 38 is the same as a US 7.) These shoes are wide enough to accommodate my wide forefoot (bunions!) but not too wide for my narrow heels. Like Birkenstocks, Haflingers will feel stiff when you first get them. It takes some time for the footbed to mold to your feet and for the wool to stretch a bit. If your foot fits comfortably in the footbed, then you have the right size!

What lovely shoes - I just discovered Haflinger and am so glad I did. I had been searching for a pair of casual clogs that still have a feminine touch, and these definitely fit the bill. They're solidly constructed and very comfortable. I usually wear a size 9 and based on other reviews I went with a 39 rather than a 40, and they fit perfectly.

I wanted to replace my "Crocs and socks" option with fall and winter approaching, so ended up in "slippers." Both these and the Taos Woolderness 2 seemed like a good choice, so ordered both which is my favorite part of buying shoes from Zappos!! I wear a 7 1/2 in sandals and an 8 in closed toed shoes, my feet are somewhat narrow, but I don't like anything too tight especially in the toebed. I ordered the 38 in both styles (which is my usual European size). I wanted to be able to wear them with socks. Right out of the box the Haflingers were perfect! Really comfortable with enough room for socks and a really nicely formed footbed with good arch support. I also really like how the back of the shoe comes up and forms around your heel which gives you a very secure feeling that you're not going to walk out of your clogs! However, I really liked the details on the Taos and couldn't wait to try them on. Unfortunately they were very tight, especially in the arch/top of the foot area, which is a problem for me. The insert is really thick, also the shoe seemed short, and the elevated heel made it harder to walk for me, so they were returned. I absolutely LOVE my new Haflinger clog/slippers and would definitely order another pair in a different color, the only color available was the grey. Also, I have a problem with static electricity with fleece, so I am glad these are wool:) Thank you once again Zappos!!!

I need a slipper with arch support, and I like something that I can quickly slide on and off. I also like an ample toe box. These Haflingers checked all of those boxes. The profile is a little less Hobbit-like than my Birkenstock slip ons, which I was replacing. And the profile of the Lacey is more defined than that of the Haflingers with embroidered images on the toe. Whether these are fashionable is really personal taste, but the dark red color at least makes them a bit fun.

This is my second pair. They seem too small on day one but hang in there. Once your feet settle and they stretch a tiny bit, they mold to your feet. Best arch support ever and worth every penny.

I absolutely love these. I bought a pair in silver 2 years ago and wore them out. These are my replacements. I got charcoal this time, which is lovely (as was silver). I wear them constantly around the house, every day, year round. I work at home so often that amounts to all day. These are the most supportive shoes I have. I play a lot of tennis and so my feet/achilles/calves are often fatigued. These have fabulous arch support, are wide enough for my E width feet, and look pretty. They are sold as slippers but they have a full cork sole so work just fine for trips to the grocery store, mailbox, light errands. I can't recommend highly enough. They are wide, so might not suit those with narrow feet. Also, I need a full size below usual (9 D/E, wear 39 in these).

I was hesitant to pay so much for slippers- but it was worth every penny!! I had horrible foot, knee, and back pain before I started wearing these around the house. Now I have no pain! These are hands down the best slippers ever.

I have owned these for one year. They are cute, warm, and comfortable (I struggle with plantar fasciitis). However, for as expensive as they are, I was surprised and disappointed when the cork began to come apart under the toes and heel. Years of owning Birkenstock’s, I’ve never seen this happen. Fortunately, I found a cork sealant and have applied it, which should give the shoes a longer life.

Love this brand! This particular pair felt a bit larger than my other pair of size 39, but not really a problem since they're worn with socks. These are the 5th pair of Haflingers and there isn't another brand of clog that's half as comfortable.

This clog fit beautifully from the start, the Lacey style and trim is super cute, especially in Chili red. I have worn Halfinger for 20+ years and am never disappointed. My toes are short so my foot is a bit wide at the ball of my foot, but not elsewhere so I need a shoe with a rounded toe box. And, Thank you Zappos for great service

I have worn Haflinger for over 20 years as they always fit perfectly; toes are short so my foot is wide at the ball of the foot, but I don’t need a wide shoe overall. and Haflinger clogs work for me. The left shoe on this pair was a bit flawed inside where sole and side were stitched, making the shoe not fit me, it would have been fine if my foot was narrower. I bought another identical shoe and they fit beautifully. I count on Haflinger and am never disappointed.

I bought these wool felted slides for my Ama and she LOVES them. I originally ordered an 8 as she typically fits size 7.5 but we decided to return them as they were too wide and long in the foot bed. We re-ordered the size 7 and they fit perfectly. She has infrequent planters fasciitis and says the soles are super supportive in the arches.

This is my second set of haflinger shoes, which I wear as slippers. The actual Haflinger slippers have no support! I couldn't remember what size I had before so I got a 39 even though I would normally get a 40, due to reading the reviews. One shoe feels like my toes hit, but I'm sure it will stretch. They seem a bit roomy like they are too wide, so maybe next time I'll try a narrow. Love these shoes!

My first pair of Haflingers and I love them! I use them primarily as indoor slippers but love the that the textured rubber sole allows me to use them outside as well. However, I will need to find different slippers for the spring/summer season because these are too warm

I have had many pairs of Haflingers over the years. They never disappoint. Durable, comfortable, warm without being sweaty.

These are the cutest and very warm clogs which can also be used as slippers. They are unbelievably comfortable with excellent arch support. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and it's very hard to find slippers with arch support, and I can walk around in these all day with little to no pain. The wool is super soft and keep my feet warm with our without socks and the structured sole is soft enough for indoor use, but structured enough to hold up outdoors. Will definitely be purchasing another pair!

I normally wear US size 7, but ordered size 36, and they fit perfect. Arch support is right where it needs to be. I immediately threw my old slippers in the trash, and my feet are very happy again.

I love cork sole shoes (not the most beautiful I know, but they feel beautiful on my feet and that's what matters). I have an array of foot issues (bunion, hallux rigidus, occasional plantar fasciitis) and these cute clogs provide comfortable support that you can wear as a slipper at home or to run to the store. I like the charcoal color because it is versatile. I normally wear a wide in shoes except for Birkenstock and Haflinger. If you have wide feet you should be okay even though there is no designated wide size.

Awesome slippers. I wear them around the house only (never outside) and they provide a lot of support for my feet. My husband also has a pair and we're very happy with them and have recommended them to others.

I love these shoes!! Best fit ever. My last pair - different -were a size too large. I am glad that followed Zappos recommendation.

As a size 8 1/2, I've always bought 39 in European sizing. In spite of some comments on this model, I kept to the size 39 and found it fine. I think each pair of shoes, even within the same brand, has a slightly different feel but overall, each pair is true to its size. I like the Chili color more than I thought I would. It's not screamingly bright but gives a little boost of color. All in all, a good purchase.
