Cute shoe boot, but my heel felt like I was walking on a steel shaft. Extremely, uncomfortable in just the few minutes I had these boots on. These are going back.

Great boot. I ordered and then wore all over NYC without breaking in the shoe beforehand. The shoes were immediately comfortable. I would recommend these boots.

Very comfortable shoes! I got the slate washed antique and it was lighter than I expected, but a really nice color!

These boots are exactly what you see. They fit true to size for me, and I have no issues getting them on or off even though I have high insteps. I do not feel I have to "break them in" either. I ordered the dark brown washed antique and feel I could wear them with brown, navy or black. Very versatile. I received many compliments the first day I wore them (they're my first Frye booties) and I can't wait to wear them again! I cannot comment on any treatments to the leather as I have not done any after reading mixed reviews about the Frye conditioner. I did try Cole Haan leather protector on them, but it simply beaded up and would not absorb, so there must be some level of protectant on them already.

Couldn't be happier. These are stunning. They look great with dress pants for work and casual with jeans. So very comfortable. Do wish that like other Frye offerings that they were made in the US.

These are adorable! I didn't even up keeping them simply because the heel height was a little steep for me, but they were very very comfortable! I'm typical frye fashion, the leather was supple and drop dead gorgeous. I am 5'10", so that's the only reason I didn't feel comfortable with them for everyday...but if I had been looking for a "going out" shoe- these would have been perfect!!

I liked my 1st pair of Frye boots, purchased from Zappos last year, and I was looking for a short boot in black this Fall so I returned to Zappos and Frye's. The Renee Seam Short did not disappoint: fit was true-to-size for my size 7, width was perfect and arch support was adequate. No excess heel slippage. Appears to be well constructed, but not made in USA. :-(

Gorgeous boot! I ordered the Charcoal color, but the boot I received was more of a beautiful rich, dark brown than charcoal, which was fine. Since the boot has a slightly pointed toe shape, I ordered my usual size, 7.5. I have narrow feet with a long big toe, and had high hopes of this boot style being long enough for me to wear without my toes hitting the front of the toe-box. Alas, not so for me. The toe-box part of the shoe is indeed a bit pointy, but the toe-box in general is short, hence it made for the boot being too short for me. I then ordered the 8B and now the boot was long enough, but strangely, the boot was now way too wide on my foot. Too bad! I wanted to love these, as they are beautiful. But back they go. Not for gals with long narrow feet. On the plus side, the boot is nicely cushioned throughout the foot-bed...super comfy to walk in for those lucky enough to be able to wear it. Perfect heel height, too, not too high, not too low.A real keeper for some lucky gal. I gave it 4 stars for comfort, only because of the painfully short toe-box.

LOVE LOVE these booties, comfortable right out of the box, great dark brown suede texture, the heels are sturdy, seem like solid wood, I compared these to my jackie button boots, they feel and sound the same. The heel height is perfect too, I am a happy customer.

This was my first Frye purchase. I bought the black suede style and absolutely love them. I'm a teacher so I'm on my feet all day and I can wear these with no problems. I wish I had purchased the putty color when it was available this fall. I hope that color returns! I'll definitely purchase another color soon.

These boots are everything! I went on a pretty extensive search for the perfect booties and after trying every brand and style these won. They are so stylish and comfortable. They are perfect for day or evening. I want to wear them everyday. They fit true to size for me.

I just received this in the Charcoal Oil Suede and thought people might like a comparison to the Reina Bootie. I own two pairs of the Reina, and wanted to get a similar suede pair. This Renee hits the mark. What surprised me is how alike these two styles are. They feel the same on my foot, so the overall shape and heel height are the same, despite any differences listed by Frye and Zappos. Therefore, the only differences are the design features. The heel shape is the most noted difference, and the Renee doesn't dip down quite as low at the center top. Not sure why the Charcoal Oil Suede is called "charcoal', because compared to my Stella Oxfords in Dark Brown Vintage Leather, the color is about the same. Beautiful dark brown. Overall, a very comfortable long-wearing boot, just like my Reinas.

Cute boot, nice color and leather...however, very pointy so the front of the boot is very narrow and not comfortable...the rest of the width is fine and the heels are not too high....unfortunately, they are going back.

I got this boot in Dark Brown Washed Antique in a size 6.5M. The leather quality, color, and style are gorgeous. I ended up returning because there is very little padding in the footbed, making them uncomfortable to walk around in, even just for a few minutes around the house. I compared this style to the Frye Reina bootie, which has an identical toe shape but has a slightly lower shaft and a different heel shape. The Reinas were more comfortable (though still not as cushioned a footbed as I'd like), with a color I preferred, so I went with those. Overall, these are really beautiful boots, just not as comfortable as I expect for Fryes.

These boots are very comfortable, but the charcoal is not gray. They're definitely brown.

I bought these boots in red and they are lovely. They made my heart race every time I looked at them and knew they were the perfect gift for my 45 birthday. The problem with them is they have a leather sole that limits when and where you wear them. There is no cushioning on the inside, so they aren't that comfortable. BUT...I get so many compliments on these boots; I love to wear them with a black and grey outfit. They give the outfit an awesome pop of color.

I think these boots are very attractive, although the heel looks like it is made of plastic up close. I did not keep them because they kind of mashed my toes in the front. They are a nice style, though.

I'm usually a seven in boots but as others have posted the heal area is loose. Unfortunately sending back...would try a 6.5 but they've been out for a while.

These boots are as beautiful as Frye lovers would expect them to be. However, they are too big around the ankle. Even with heavy socks there is a big gap. Regrettably, for that reason, I am returning them.
