These are great - I tried both a 39 and a 40 (I usually wear a 39), and liked the 40 better. It's a little loose, but I haven't had any issues with them slipping. The 39 technically fit, but was weirdly snug. They are nice and warm, construction is good, and they seem reasonably waterproof in the foot (I've stepped in some pretty slushy puddles with no leaking, although I haven't spent a lot of time actively walking in water). I usually wear them with a mid-weight wool blend sock and temps here have been in the 0+ F range so far this winter. I think they'd be fine in sub-zero temps, too, possibly with a heavier sock if you're going to be outside for any length of time. They are more of an around town boot, but I did wear them on an easy snowshoeing jaunt and no rubbing or slipping. The laces are really long - I usually wrap them once around the ankle and then tie. They stay tied really well for me. Grip is decent, particularly for a non-hiking boot. I think they're cute - I like the wool upper and they have a casual ski town vibe that's appropriate for wear I live. It's nice to be a little different from the heavy Merrell saturation!

LOVE love loooove these boots! SO much cuter than most of the waterproof, warm, neutral-colored boots out there. After owning a pair of duck-style boots that cracked after 2 years of wear and weren't very warm to begin with, I decided to buy these. Super warm, totally waterproof, easy to get in an out of, and with really long laces that do not become untied constantly. I do see the sizing information above is a little confusing. The drop-down selection says a size 40=US 8.5, but the Q&A below the picture says size 39=US 8.5. I'm an 8.5 and ordered the 40 and they fit great with a little room to spare for big socks. Best purchase in a long time. Highly recommend.

These boots!! I live in Steamboat and we've had 123 FEET of snow so far. Very rarely do we drive anywhere so we are walking constantly. I LIVE in these boots. So warm, totally durable, and completely waterproof. In addition, they are not so warm as to cause your feet to perspire. They are my absolute FAVORITE winter boot of the season.

Awesome style, but low on comfort. Felt at least a half size smaller and narrow through the toe box. Am returning but will order a half size larger.
