These boots are well-designed by a classic French company that got its start making tires, which explains the hearty sole. The waterproof leather is smooth, the ballistic nylon is strong, and the blue accent on the tongue (and elsewhere) make this a beautiful, durable boot. The sole inside is flat but is already beginning to shape to my foot. I bought these for a Minneapolis winter and I think they will cut the cake. They might even make a few winters. The lining in my right boot is loose and my foot slides around inside, while the left boot is solid. When they are laced up tight the problem goes away, so I am going to keep them because they were the last in my size. Overall, these are well designed but a little cheaply made.

They are light weight and sturdy.I've bushwhacked in these for 4hours up a steep mountain and they're still comfy and look good. If you don't need an outdoor boot and just want something dope for everyday life, you should still get this boot. Not heavy, super comfortable, can withstand some rain and great style!

The most important thing to know before buying — these boots run VERY SMALL. I've measured my feet a number of times and I'm a true men's 9.5 (I wear size 9.5 or 10 in running shoes, or size 9 in large boots like Red Wings). With these boots, I had to go to a size 11, which is pretty crazy. I'm wearing them with medium thickness merino wool hiking type boots (the kind you'd get from REI or Patagonia), and I like to have my boots a little roomy, so I guess if you're wearing these with thin cotton or silk socks, or if you prefer a snugger feel to your shoes, you might not have to size up as much as I did. But I'd really recommend going with socks that will wick away moisture, because these boots are not breathable since they're so waterproofed.
Once I found the right size, though, I *loved* these boots. They have great cushion and just the right amount of arch support. The grip is good on the tread, but could be a bit grippier. I got the amber gold/mid gum color combo, and I really love the way they look. I was afraid they'd be too yellow, and they definitely are yellow on the mesh siding, but there's also sort of a tan/taupe color going on with the rest of the material, so the overall effect is on the yellow side, but not annoyingly so. They look like sleeker, slimmer, more stylish Timberlands kind of.
I got these boots primarily to have something to wear in the rain, and in brief jaunts in light snow, and they've worked out perfectly for me. I live in California, so I'm hardly ever in the snow, but I just brought these boots with me on a trip to Lake Tahoe for some skiing, and they were perfect for brief walks across the snow in 30–40 degree weather. My feet stayed totally warm and dry. However, I've never lived through a Chicago winter, so I can't comment on whether or not these boots would handle a true, long winter like that.
Overall, very pleased with these. Again, the only knocks I have against them are that it's a little tricky to find the right size, and they get quite warm if you wear them for a full work day.
I'd also recommend:

These boots were bought for use on longer distance rides on my motorcycle. They do exactly what they were bought to do, and look pretty good too. They've kept my feet dry in rain so far, so that's perfect. They're comfortable and not too heavy, especially with the durability of the materials.
A couple issues I've come across: they are *really* warm. I have to use synthetic wool socks because otherwise my feet will sweat too much and stink up the boot. I'm sure this will be nice in cooler weather, though. Another issue is that when I'm in a wet parking lot, I've found them to be a bit slippery. Lifting my bike up from leaning on a kickstand, I need good traction, and this has been a slight issue. It's workable with a bit more care so it isn't too big of a problem, though.

Went on vacation with these and didn't break them in and they were still incredibly comfortable. My feet never got wet and I even stuck my feet in a lake. They look awesome and I'll be getting another pair of these soon.

I ordered these in a women's size 8.5.
These came up in my search for women's hiking boots. I liked them because they were almost all one color (which is rare in the world of sneakers and hiking boots) and because they were black. I'm normally a size 8/8.5 and ordered these in a size 8.5 anticipating that I'd have enough room for thick socks.
When they arrived at my work, my boss was actually standing next to me and commented on how he had also ordered a pair of boots from this company to use when he worked on his house. Perhaps that turned me off of these a bit, but I won't blame it entirely.
The fit felt fine, but I hated the look of these. If you like the look on converse you'd probably love them but I, unfortunately, don't. Also, they felt like clown shoes on my feet. I normally wear smaller profile shoes so putting these on immediately made my feet feel clunky, but it was the toe that seemed to balloon out that did it for me.
I was searching for sturdy and waterproof boots to wear while hiking, and ended up returning these shoes. They're not a bad shoe, but they just weren't my style.

I got these for 12 hour warehouse work in a Chicago winter. They're great, except they don't breathe or stay tied. The round laces cause you to re-tie them every hour or so. They are warm. But at then end of a 12 hour day my feet are soaked. Which leads to them smelling. I wash my feet every morning before putting them on and after 3 weeks they're starting to smell. I have to air them out in front of the heat vent so they're dry for the next day. Maybe they're great for the look or for short wearing periods but for a 12 hour shift they start to get sweaty.
these are my second pair of Palladiums. The first pair was the Pampa Hi. Decided to go for the higher price and quality. Worth it. But not for the work I do.
Pros?
The tread? Incredible. Love it.
Style is killer.
Warmth is top notch.
Cons?
The warmth creates sweat and smell.
The palladium problem of tearing at the toe crease. Separation at the sides and canvas/leather at the pont of toe bend.
Overall 5 out of 10. The Sole and tread is great. Everything else is not what I want out of a boot.

Aesthetically the Palladium Pampa Sport Cuff is almost perfect with a sleek design for a pretty rugged shoe. The toe design is unique, but I would prefer something more in line with how low profile the rest of the boot looks.
CONS: While the boot handled rain and snow very well for the first year and 6 months, something has happened to the seal on one boot. I can only see the smallest gap in a seam on the shoe and yet even the lightest rain results in the shoe and foot getting wet.
I took very good care of these boots in storing them when not in use, and when I did used them it was only for daily city use walking on sidewalks. I did not stress them in hiking or submerging them in any liquids. The construction of the boot simply failed.
For the price of these boots I would expect better quality, or at least a better warranty. I was turned away by Palladium, and Zappo's does not cover a warranty longer than a year.
I spent a year and a half singing Palladium's praises to friends who needed a boot recommendation, however I must reconsider what I've told them, and I will be looking at alternatives for future purchases.

The shoe on the right is one from my old pair, compared to one of the brand new ones that just arrived on the left. My old pair is FIVE years old and worn regularly for all those years. I even worked at a state park for the first year and was doing daily strenuous outdoor activity (hiking/kayaking/canoeing/ropes courses). I still wear my old ones weekly and just went on a hike last week and they are STILL waterproof!! These boots LAST. Excellent quality and comfort once broken in. It is probably not a good business plan to make shoes that hold up this well for so long, but I am a lifetime Palladium fan now and these are the only hiking boots I'll ever buy!

Nearly perfect experience. It's not bulky, it's almost entirely a well designed boot in it's sleekness. The toe portion is a little unsightly in my personal opinion, but I quickly forget all about it when consider how dry my feet are after a downpour. How much it feels like I have nothing on my feet, despite how durable in the end the boot is.
My only issue was that after a year and three months of use, an opening/seam appeared and is letting rain in. For the cost of the boot, I would expect more than the time I've had with it before construction issues appeared. I reached out to Palladium for assistance, and was directed to contact Zappos about the issue.

Husband likes them. Said they are comfortable and waterproof. Only downside is they don't seem to be made for cold temperatures, only keeping moisture out. They aren't lined with much and they let the cold in.

I wear a size 12 women's boot and I have been desperately searching for a comfortable, waterproof boot for an upcoming trip to Scotland. I tried this 10.5 men's size since it looked like they offered unisex sizing. No go: a 10.5 men's shoe does not equal a size 12 women's shoe. I was disappointed because they're cute shoes, they looked durable and they're waterproof. Sent them back.

Thought I had reviewed these before but apparently not. Love these boots and I wear them everyday in South Florida. Still get compliments on them. My original pair (3 years old) has been on 4 continents (including Machu Pichu in Peru and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda). They have been in the Gorge at Taos, New Mexico. They have been through puddles and mud, and in the deep snow at Yellowstone.
Across the city streets of Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam, etc... Still the most comfortable shoes I own. Finally bought a new pair and was shocked to see how worn the soles were when compared against the new pair. The glued seams began to separate in my original pair but I am not getting rid of them. They still have some use left in them.

These boots are great. I bought them for a lighter, waterproof alternative to my winter hikers (Merrell’s). They did have a break in period but I truly love them. They are light weight, water repellent, waterproof, and great traction. I only wear them hiking. I’ve tromped through tons of mud and water and my feet stay dry. Happy.

These boots have been around the world with me and never let me down. I've had "bad feet" my whole life... I was that toddler with the brace across my feet to turn them out, and then the kid with arch supports in all of her Buster Brown's. I took the custom insoles from my hiking shoes and they worked perfectly. I wore them to Burning Man and they kept the playa dust out (as much as any shoe can) and then packed them up and wore them to summit the Grand Vignemale in the Pyrenees. The crampons for the summit through the ice and snow fit great over these boots and I didn't have the issues some of the others on the trip did trying to get them over bulkier hiking boots. The last part to the summit was a sheer rock face climb and these did the job. I wouldn't want them for a longer, more serious climb, but they are truly all-purpose. I've also worn them in everyday torrential Florida rain and had dry feet. I've always been leery of buying men's shoes (I'm a woman), but these fit perfectly.

I bought these boots to wear at work. I'm on my feet for at least eight hours a day, walking, pushing, pulling and carrying things around. I've gone through two pairs of shoes in eight months, and needed a new pair of shoes for work. I decided to try these, since they've got style and also look up to the challenge. I wore them the day after I got them- I ended up wearing them for 18 hours straight, most of that time being spent walking.
The boots do need to be broken in a little- mostly around the ankle. Aside from that, they fit perfectly (just enough room in the toe for good movement, without being too big). I was concerned that they would be too warm or that they would chafe since they aren't broken in yet, but everything ended up being fine. I would definitely reccommend these boots, and plan on buying another pair of Palladium boots in the future!

Received these today and found them true to size and very comfortable. In wearing them around the house for a few hours they feel as good as when I out them on. Have a trip next month and plan to do about 10 miles a day, possibly in wet weather. Ordered these for that reason. I will update the review thereafter but I have high hopes. I had been looking at Tom's Ashland boot but it was much more expensive, not available in my size and had a couple of issues mentioned by several people.

So comfortable! Broke them in over a long weekend hiking and beach combing. They were comfortable from the first day. The soles gave me great traction. My feet do get a little hot in them so, maybe consider lightweight socks. The shaft isn't bulky like a lot of work or hiking boots. These are worth a try.

Good boots and cool looking. I walk like a duck with flat feet and these because of low heel, accentuate that. Will trade for another pair.

Victory finally. After 4 tries I found this pair of kick around boots. Ordered half size larger fit is near perfect. Very comfy and should be good for all day on my feet. Tried the other two palladium similar styles this is by far the most comfortable. Also tried Timberland PRO 8" Valor Tactical which are also very comfy if you want a darker color.
I'd also recommend:

These are great, comfortable yet sturdy. I bought these just for fashion purposes to wear with a skirt so they won't be used for work but they seem like good shoes. I can imagine they would be nice for work or hiking too. They are great quality and well made.

I purchased these for use on my motorcycle. The style, comfort, and warmth are great. I did find a big issue in regards to bike use. They're extremely slippery on wet or damp asphalt. After dropping my bike twice because of boot slips, I've had to cut down my use during wet times.
The worst part about this is that I bought these boots over the others for the waterproof aspect (they're good in that regard) so there is no breathability.
They're great if you want to keep warm, and dry, but don't use if a slippery sole will be detrimental.

Best boots I have ever owned. Very comfortable interior although a bit warm for the tropics where I live and work. I am a true 10 and it fit great with socks and a little extra room for movement.
