This dress is made of nice thick t-shirt material with a lot of stretch. The color is a deep blue. I ordered two sizes and the colors were slightly different (one looked more faded). Re: size -- I am 5'4", 34B, 27, 37. I tried on the S and the M. Both fit but the S looks better. It's the kind of dress that looks better tight. Especially because of the shirring -- if it doesn't fit tight -- you look thicker than you are. It is pretty body-con but it does fit well around the butt -- ie, not like I can see my cellulite (yay!). But one does need to find the right kind of undergarment for this dress. The only thing I'm not sure about because I've not worn it really -- it can be pulled down and look really long or be pulled up a bit to be shorter. What I'm not sure about is does it ride up as you walk around? I find that annoying in a dress... If I find this out -- I'll write another review. It is a great dress.

I felt like this dress is too tight and restricting and the shirring along the side is a little itchy if you’re sensitive to that kind of thing. Yes, it’s a very form fitting dress and will accentuate your curves but walking in this dress is not the most comfortable thing because it does restrict the movement of your legs being that there’s no slit in the back to allow more fluid movement. I like to be comfortable in my clothing and this just didn’t make the cut for me. It’s pretty on but not practical to wear and definitely not the first thing I’d grab in my closet.

Love this dress! Bought this in black, but also have the green. My only gripe is that the product I received was obviously someone else’s return. Arrived inside out and with someone’s hair on it. Would’ve expected a little more from the customer service I’m accustomed to with Zappos. If it wasn’t for the fact that I was leaving for vacation and needed it, I would have returned for a new one, but I washed it and it was fine.

Such a great dress, very flattering. I'm a size 4/6 in jeans, 34D, the small fit perfect, not skin tight. Just get it, you can wear it anywhere and dress it up or down.

Very nice summer dress. I am 5'7 at 135lbs and ordered S. It is very flattering and sexy, perfect bodycon dress. Very breathable and worth the money. My favorite dress so far.

I tried on a XS in a store and found the Small on Zappos. I have to say they xs vs small. No difference. I don't know that I own a medium in a dress. So that tells you what you need to know on sizing. Seem to vary in thickness of fabric with different colors as well. Red was thick - blue too thin.

Very flattering shape with side shirring. I would not recommend for shorter ladies, I am a little over 5'6" and it hits we'll below the knees. Overall great dress!

Holy heck is this dress gorgeous on! I got the olive moss color and I would say it's pretty true to color as it is on Zappos.com. I'm 5'9" and ordered the medium. It fits perfectly but not too tight. It is SO comfortable too. The shirring is extremely flattering. Agree with other reviewers, you would be able to dress it up or down.

Perhaps I didn't read the sizing information right, but I ordered the small and it was actually a medium. Too big for me and had to return. Otherwise looks like a very comfy dress

Cute dress. however, there are no slits on the sides of the skirt, so I can’t walk in it. Had to return it.

Looks great but the cut restricts my stride and makes it difficult to walk.

Ordered in M and L. Both "fit" in that I was able to actually get them on. But this dress is designed to hug every frame of your body -- from the neck to, bewilderingly, your ankles? It magnifies all flaws (a good dress should do the opposite. Yes, it is "ruched" - so things like panty lines and muffin tops, etc., are less visible. But the weird constriction around the calf and ankles kept me from walking normally - I had to take tiny, mincing steps (and this was barefoot- can't even imagine how I would cope in heels). And I really didn't want to go out in public with each cheek of my bum outlined.

Michael Star dresses never fail. So comfortable. Length and fit were perfect. I’m able to dress it up with cute boots or down with some burks. Great dress!

I absolutely love this dress. I'm 5'4'', 140lbs, 32 D and curvy/athletic build. I tried the Small and Medium and preferred the Medium because it was still very fitted and flattering without being so restricting that I looked uncomfortable in it :) The shirring is very flattering! Can easily be dressed up or down. Great staple for my wardrobe.

I love this dress! The color is beautiful and the fit is great. The material is super soft and comfortable. I also like the thickness of the material (yay, for not being see through!). I read the other reviews that said the dress runs on the smaller size. I went with a size small. For reference, I'm 5'4", 118 lbs, bra size 30E and I wear a 25/24 in most denim. Shipping was fast. I would buy again in another color.

Very flattering! Hugs you in the right places, runs a little small, I usually wear a size small but went with the medium here, I could hardly get the small on. I will be ordering more colors!

This dress is odd. It is meant for someone much taller otherwise there is way too much fabric in the stomach area it is also too long for a midi. I am 5'4" and it was too long. The fabric is lovely and good quality. It just did not fit well on my body.
