These are very comfortable. I don't mind that the shealing is only around the top. It allows for thick or thin socks on my feet. I have wide feet, high instep with Plantar Fascitis and Birkenstocks are one of the few shoes that fit my feet comfortably. I am so glad they have gone the boot route. I tried the knee high boots but they didn't work with my muscular large calves but these are perfect. Am looking at another pair of Birki boots.

Birkenstock has boots - and cute ones! I have plantar fasciitis and Birkenstocks are the only shoes that I can wear that do not hurt my feet. I even got Birkenstock insoles to wear with all my other shoes. These I can wear without them and they are awesome.

These are exceptionally well-made boots. I am so happy to be able to wear winter boots lined with shearling from Birkenstock. Because of foot problems I have not been able to wear anything other than Birkenstocks for many, many years. This will be the first year that I will have real, warm, winter boots since my foot problems started 15 years ago. I am so happy that Birkenstock has put out this wonderful line of winter boots. I also bought another pair from Zappos of Birkenstock boots and I'm absolutely delighted with both of them. I took both of them in the next size up from what I usually wear to give myself room to wear thick winter socks and not to have any rubbing on my toes or heels. Usually Birkenstocks take a quite a long time to break in but I was able to wear these for the first time for over half an hour in my home and that's rare for Birkenstocks. They are very easy to get used to and provide as much support as I'm used to in the clogs and sandals. The only thing I wish was different is if these were also available in a narrow width. I'm keeping them anyway even though I have a narrow foot because I'm just so happy to have Birkenstock winter boots! Yay! Zappos is great! They make it easy to shop and I am thankful for this!

True to Birkenstock craftsmanship,this is a beautiful, supportive and well constructed boot. I normally wear a 38 N soft foot bed in Birks. I found the traditional foot bed in this style to be comfortable and while the toe of this boot may seem a bit chunky to some, I did not find the fit to be too wide. I am returning them only because I find the ankle of this style boot to be too stiff and I don't have the will to break them in. Others may not have this problem.

I have narrow feet and they fits true to size. I slowly broke them in after I learned wearing boots with that close of fit will give your heels blisters. They are very comfortable. It is misleading to say that they helped my planter fasciitis, because that all depends on how I walk. But the boots are much more comfortable that anything else that I have worn!

These boots are really comfortable and are just like Birkenstocks foot bed. They are a bit masculine and could be unisex, but not so much that I wouldn't wear them. Love how comfy they are.

Loved the fit, and they are very well constructed. Unfortunately the shearling "lining" was only around the ankle. Nothing around the toes or footbed. If they were at least waterproof I'd consider keeping. Looking for cold weather shoes for the city sidewalks, so I'm returning.

So comfortable! The sizing is accurate, I'm usually a 39 And these fit right. They are lightweight and the removable foot bed is a gently arched cork insert. They're the right height, look great with skinny jeans and tights! Was hoping these could be used as a winter boot; a somewhat dressier alternative to my duck boots. Unfortunately I ordered because I live in Vermont and thought the shearling lining went all thru the inside of the boot; an absolute must for cold weather. Since the lining is only in the boot shaft they will have to go back! The price is just a tad too high to be just a fall boot.

I own Birkenstock sandals and clogs, which I love, but I was disappointed with these. They are nicely made and a cute style, but unfortunately, I did not find them comfortable and returned them. The arch support didn't seem the same as my other Birkenstocks. However, with the free shipping both ways on Zappos, why not give them a try? I found the sizing was accurate, I ordered a 41 and I normally wear a 10 or 11.

These are beautiful, well made boots with that terrific Birk footbed. However, the only shearling on this boot is the part up by the ankle. Nothing around the toes! Sad to be returning these.

I am so ambivalent about these. I could not tell if they are Doc Marten cute or ugly old man work boots...finally decided they lean more toward the latter. They are cut a little straight on the big toe side- I would have liked a little curve to the inner edge of the boot so that it widened at the toe box in both directions, not just on the outer edge. They were pretty comfy if I put in my own insole, though I found the Birkenstock insole to be too hard, and too narrow in the heel cup. Overall, a mixed bag of pluses and minuses so sending back.
