Love these boots. Comes with both satin ribbon laces and regular black laces, so you can switch them easily. The boots aren't really heavy but still feel sturdy. Nice comfy footbed and the leather feels soft/malleable as well. This was a bit of a splurge for me but I can tell that these boots will be lasting me for many years to come - definitely a worthy investment.

I love these so much! The leather is super soft and comfortable. They are lighter than I was expecting. The leather does have sort of a green tint to it, but I don't mind. I changed out the ribbon laces to longer ribbon laces I made myself just so I could tie them all the way up and still have room left for a big bow. I am typically an 8 1/2, and the 8 is super large on my foot. I will just be wearing thick socks.

These Docs are not like the old ones from the 90's that I remember. I wore nothing but Docs from '92-'95. From monkey boots, Mary Jane's to 8-14 holes. They were stiff and would take about a month to break in and always blistered the back of your ankle. These seem to have extra cushy foot beds and supple leather. Also like the black stitching instead of traditional yellow and have darker soles. Liked that they came with extra laces, don't like the satin ones so I switched 'em out. Got a size UK 4 which was perfect (wear a women's 6.5). Overall, excellent boot and price.

I normally wear 8-8.5, and went with the US8 equivalent. They fit really comfortably, with a bit of room for thick socks if needed. I stand all day for work and these were very comfortable without needing to break them in. I appreciate the two sets of laces, ribbon and flat "plain" ones. I went for the latter, as the ribbons were a little much for my taste. Very happy with these, hope they last a long time as Doc Martens have a reputation for that!

I love these boots! I can tell they definitely run a bit large, but for me that works perfectly. I wear (and bought) a size 10, but in some brands I have to go up to a 10.5 (if they even have it). These for perfectly and have just enough room in the toe. So if you're on the smaller end of your size, listen to the others and go down. I love how they look and that you get a choice between the ribbon laces (which feel nice and sturdy for ribbons) and more traditional laces. I prefer wearing the boot up, but I do like the lining material a lot.

Love, love, love these boots. The toe box is roomy, the uppers are butter soft (felt great immediately, unlike other Docs that tend to need a lot of breaking in), and the ribbon laces give them a feminine touch despite being otherwise totally badass. Love that they come with regular laces in case I get tired of the big ribbon bow and want something a little more understated. The tweed interior is a nice touch and will be welcome on warm days; and I like the fold-down option, though they're more comfortable, in my opinion, when worn up. These have a leather tab on the back (in place of the traditional Doc Marten ribbon tab), and it functions as the tie-down attachment to the d-rings when the boots are worn folded down, or tucks in when not in use, which is a nice touch. In the box, they look like they could stop a truck, and they do look a little less bulky on ... but I'm not gonna lie. These boots wear you as much as you wear them. But magically, even though they have the traditional, very comfortable and impervious to any gunk you can step in, Doc Marten Bouncing Sole, some voodoo magic makes these super lightweight as compared to other Docs I've owned. Big sizing caveat ... I usually wear a US women's 9.5 - 10; and I am sooooo glad that I paid attention to the reviews that say this boot runs big, because it totally does. The 9 fits me like a glove, with the arch in just the right place for my slightly narrow foot. Great boots, and I'm looking forward to years of wear out of them.

This is my second pair of these boots. The first pair I bought in a US size 8 as I have wider feet and usually wear an 8.5. They were big on me and after wearing two+ years were sooo stretched out I need to wear layers of socks. They were then retired to my outdoor/work boots and I invested in a second pair a size smaller. I am much happier with the fit. My left foot is bigger than my right so I barely was able to get my foot comfortably in the shoe. After wearing two weeks they are great and there is no discomfort. The right foot is a little looser than o would like know that there has been some stretching and wearing in. I love the look of these boots though and it is great to be able to not have clown sized feet.

These are one of my favorite pairs of boots I have ever worn. I get a lot of compliments on them for their uniqueness. The leather is softer than typical Dr. Martens so I didn't need to "break them in" very much. They run just enough bigger to allow for a thicker sock. I originally sized down based on other reviews but ended up returning them for my normal size which fit perfectly.

I love Dr. Martens these are fun and come with Darwin laces that add a feminine touch. Normally wear 7.5 and ordered a 7 to the recommended conversion. Fits great perfect for fall and winter

These are the first pair of Dr. Marten's for my tween and she has been begging for these types of boots. These are the perfect intro into this type of boot as there was literally no break in period. The leather was comfortable and soft up the shaft. She loved the ribbon laces too. She is normally an 8.5. We ordered the size 6 and it fit perfectly. So I would say if you are a half size, go down.

Bought these a few months back and loved them! The leather is soft. I can wear them all day comfortably and I get a ton of compliments on them.

Fantastic boots! I bought these for work (I’m a chef) and they are great for the kitchen. I was pleased at the quality of the shoe and leather. Very comfortable to stand in all day and surprisingly good temperature-wise as well. I wear the Hue jeans socks with them and my feet stay cool, too. They are Docs so they fit a bit more roomy than other shoes but I don’t find it to be a problem. Also, they come with regular laces so if you’re like me, you don’t have to wear the ribbons. Definitely would recommend these.

These are absolutely my favorite pair of shoes. I ordered them for work because of the nonslip soles. Now I find myself putting together outfits to wear them everyday. So comfortable, no break in period, and the nonslip soles are great. I never feel unsteady on my feet no matter how crazy things get in the kitchen. I will absolutely buy more Docs for work and every day life. I’m a size 8.5 or 9 in most other shoes. The size 8 fits me with plenty of room for thick socks and jeans tucked in. Zappos customer service is always amazing so I’m comfortable ordering multiple sizes to try.

I love these boots! I'm usually a 9.5-10, and the 9s fit me perfectly. I went to the Dr. Martens website before I ordered and followed their size guide to find the right fit. They do take some breaking in, so I recommend preemptively putting Band-Aids on your heels before you do any serious walking in them.

Loved them out of the box. They do need insoles and longer ribbon laces, but once I mink oil these they will be my go to boot.

Based on other reviews, I ordered a size down the first time, but ended up returning those because they were too small. I ordered my normal size (women's size 9). I have a narrow foot so they are a little wide, but I don't like my shoes tight so with a thicker sock they work great! The leather is really soft and I wore them all day right after receiving them without any issues. I work a job where I am on my feet all day so needed a shoe with decent support. These don't have a quite as much support as I would like, but overall are a very comfortable shoe. And I love the style. I have wanted a pair of Dr. Martens for years and am glad I finally decided to get a pair!

Calf is wider than other docs I have. Good for wide calf.

I really like these boots. I read the reviews and ordered down a size. I have narrow feet so I thought that would work. But I’m a hairstylist and stand all day. That means I need really good arch support which they didn’t have. It’s wasn’t terrible but I need better. For my arch supports to fit in I definitely need my true size. I swapped them out for my size and they are perfect!

I've been wearing 7.5-8 in most shoes but ordered 7 based on reviews. It fit perfectly, comfortable as soon as I put them on. Only returning because I decided to go with grizzly red color. If I had unlimited funds I would have kept both colors! The leather is soft and doesn't seem like it will require much if any time to break in.

Very comfortable and well-made. Quality material and great style, just as I expect from Dr. Martens.

I originally ordered a classic Doc Marten oxford, but had sizing issues because of the UK whole sizes only thing. I had heel slippage that I knew would make me crazy. Changed over to a combat boot, and the shoe feels a lot more secure because it laces up the leg. Usually wear a US 9-9.5, and the UK 7 feels about a quarter size too big. I'll be adding an insole for more comfort and to make the boot feel a bit smaller. The leather is soft, not stiff like some Docs. Also recommend wearing a Smartwool knee-high ski sock, which is cushioned in the front. =)

These are Doc Martens - what else do you need to say? Cute with a herringbone lining is an added plus adding some versatility.

I normally wear a size 7 and ordered a size 6. The fit is perfect and the boots are awesome!

Comfortable right out of the box. A repurchase after the first pair I bought 7 years ago, these boots do not disappoint. Perfect for utility and long lasting wear and tear. Still can't get rid of my old pair.
