*Doing review after 1 year 4 weeks consistent wear! (I own these, one pair sneakers, one pair sandals, so heavy wear.) * Definitely won’t fall apart. Heavily worn. See pics. Would buy again for price. CONS/ CONCERNS The wear is definitely a “desert boot” wear. Laces fell apart after about 8 months. I replaced with leather laces (that’s what’s in the pics). Inside of shoe is peeling and tearing. The yellow threading frays and falls off—it’s definitely not nylon thread. It also appears that the sole is glued. So, this thread must be superficial—as I saw it come off at two (small) sections, it didn’t appear to be structural. The classic yellow thread makes it look like a pair of Dr Martens, and it seems like that’s the only reason it’s there. PROS Leather and (actual) stitching is very sturdy. It is a trendy flat leather, if you want shine then buy some products. Like any pair of leather shoes, you want to treat it with product so it doesn’t get ruined. I didn’t take perfect care. I still eat compliments even in their worn state. Points for fashion. Dr Martens rubber sole wears well. Isn’t slip resistant but won’t slip more than usual (like some cheap athletic shoes do). Never had a slip problem with them with average conditions. I walk 5-10 miles a day and only thing that keeps me from wearing these everyday is my foot sweat. They aren’t horrible—they are a little MORE breathable than you expect from a lace up leather boot. SIZE They do run about a half size up, but with my insoles I use, was a perfect fit. Strangely felt bigger out of the box...but then naturally shaped to my feet quickly. I wouldn’t worry about it. For example, I go between a men’s 7 and men’s 7.5 depending on the show. The 7 was good for me. I’m considering ordering a second pair after 1 year heavy use. Good shoe.

The more you wear them the more comfortable they get. I have back pain and these have wonderful support for someone that deals with back issues.

This was a last minute choice over Dr Marten's Sawyer boots. I wanted something for everyday use without the dress shoes look for work and the gaucho crazy horse version fits the job over the more business-like Sawyer boots. I can wear them everyday with Jeans or Khakis and they look good, I just wish that they went with the Goodyear welt so that the yellow stitching was not needed. They have a comfortable sole compared to Clarks Desert Boots. The size feels true and with this being my third pair of Doc Martens, they have been pretty consistent with their sizing. The leather is soft but the heel felt tight, and eventually broke in after the third use and now feels more comfortable. The air sole is always comfortable, I did notice from my previous Doc Martens, that the soles tend to harden after about five years exposure to the elements. New Doc Martens soles always feel bouncy and soft and this is no exception.

The sizing is too big, I wear a US 9 and I ordered a UK 8 thinking that would be a fit, but it was far too big. Aim low for these ones .

These are crazy big. I wear a 9.5 or 10 in most shoes, had to get an 8 in these! Other than that, A+.

Love these shoes! Always wore Red Wing chukkus for work but got tired of how heavy and stiff they are. These Doc Martins are similar in style but way lighter and more comfortable. They felt like slippers on my feet after only a few days of use. After a week or so they are super comfortable. I have a very wide foot. I wear 12 EE or 13 for shoes that don’t come in wide. I originally bought these in 13US but they were too big. Exchanged them for 12 US and they’re perfect. They have plenty of width which is awesome. Zappos made the exchange super easy too! Called them and the smaller size was at my door the next day. Don’t hesitate to pick these up, especially if you have a wide foot like me. They won’t last as long as my Red Wings but at less than half the price who cares?!

Bought these shoes for work a little over a year ago. I have a wide foot, too wide for many standard width shoes but had no problem with these. I usually wear 12EE or 13 depending on the shoe. The 12 US was a great fit for me with plenty of room for my wide feet. They were super comfy right out of the box. Felt like slippers compared to my Red Wing Heritage that I was wearing previously. I replaced the insole with a gel one because the ball of my foot did start to get sore after months of use. They’ve held up well with heavy use. I wear them at least 6 days a week and the sole has worn and rubber has hardened a bit but otherwise they are still in good shape overall. I recommend these shoes, especially for those with a wide foot.

First tried ordering an 11 but it was way too large so went down to a 10. Now is a little snug at the toe (10.5 probably would be the sweet size, but no half sizes sadly) but still quite comfortable and has only been getting better as it gets broken in. The walk feel is great - good support, feels soft under the foot. Also looks great - simple but very stylish, does get darker if you use some protective wax. Overall has only been a couple weeks but very satisfied and would recommend!

Bought this boot for my husband. I bought his exact size but after reading the show ran a size bigger, I was scared it wouldn't fit. It was a perfect fit ! The color is really nice, super comfortable. Only drawback is, the boot does tend to slip from the heel.

Great shoes. I had originally purchased the tobias also by dr. martin and found the boot to be too tall and stiff for me. However the Cabrillo feel great and look sharp. I am a student that commutes by bus and these have been good at keeping my feet dry this Colorado winter when walking to school and work from the bus stop.

I'm a month away from the 3 year mark and I still wear these almost every day. The only thing I've done is replace the shoe strings.

I ordered my size in what I usually wear in a 1/2 boot. These were very nicely made but way to big.

I typically wear a men's size 10 which in this case was too large. The men's size 9 (US) fits perfectly.

This shoe features a very well engineered DM sole, much less pronounced, so it loons more like a desert boot. But with DM comfort. I'd like to see more styles using this sole.

Like other Dr. Martens I'd size down a whole size. Usually wear a 9 in brand like New Balance Nike etc., but Dr. Martens 8 fits my wide feet better. Love these shoes! Way more comfortable than other desert boot like clarks and I like the style better personally. Try em!

My husband wears a 10.5 and usually when he first gets a pair of Dr Martens in a 10 we have them stretched. It’s wasn’t necessary with these shoes. Great styling but probably not as sturdy as the originals. The sole seems a little thinner and lighter. He has only worn them for occasionally over the last few months so we are curious how they hold up long term.

I think I'm in love. I grew up hearing about people wearing "Doc Martens", but I never owned any of their shoes. All I can say is that from the moment I put them on, they are so-o-o comfortable. I didn't even have to have a breaking in period. They're also sharp-looking. I have high arches, so I put in some arch supports, but they didn't affect the fit at all (sometimes arch supports can make the shoes feel tight). I applied some of their wonder balsam on the shoes before I started using them regularly. I think it's good protection for the shoes , and the stuff only costs around 10 bucks. If you're unsure whether or not to buy these shoes, you should check out their video (especially watch how they put the soles on- they don't use glue like a lot of other shoe manufacturers do). They are very well made. Would recommend.

This is my 4th pair of shoes purchased on the site. Customer service is excellent. I ordered the wrong size and they sent me the right size the following day. A++. Oh and the shoes are what I've known them to be. I knew what I was ordering
