My sensory sensitive daughter loved these but the material on the toes peeled off within the first month. Zappos replaced them but the 2nd pair did the same. It's too bad the material is cheap, the shoes construct itself was great. Zappos customer service is the best!

For a 1.5 size kid's foot, we bought the size 33 of these and they fit well. They offer removable insoles and an optional extra thin pad to insert beneath the insole with the idea that as the kid grows they'd need it less in their shoe because their foot will get larger, I think. But, if you need to, you could replace the insole padding. These shoes offer extra room for the toes to wiggle and hence for growth to occur. They are VERY flexible under from the ball to the toes bending area but the back/heel area is supportive - that's why we got them, for our kiddo with overpronation problems such that if they wear shoes that are not supportive (or go around barefoot too long), they get leg pain. We had been buying the ASICS GT-1000 ISO for such support, but they'd gotten bored with the colors/style, so we tried these. The only bad thing so far is we've only had them a short time (we bought a pair 20 days ago and another 9 days ago) and the front plastic protective area chips off. No habits of being too rough and tumble, nor any habits rubbing the feet together or standing one upon the other, so I think this just happens with normal wear. We like them enough that we're going to keep them and not even try to get an exchange or anything because it just seems like the way they are and what would happen to a new pair. I'll add some photos for you to see.. this is the explanation for why only four stars.

Light, flexible and comfortable for my daughter who is in Kindergarten. Not over-built and stiff like many kids sneakers. Easy for her to get on by herself. They squeak on hard floors, but this isn't a big deal to me. She has low-volume feet, so the extra inserts helped create a prefect fit without needing to wear thick socks.

Baby 2 has a high arch and it's been a little hard to find her a shoe that works with her foot. These Pediped shoes fit the bill. They are easy to put on (I'm no longer allowed to help) and they seem tight enough with just the velcro at the top. My FAV feature of these shoes is the "flex" option. This shoe comes with a whole shoe insert and as your child grows you can remove the insert to go up a 1/2 size while still utilizing the same shoe. This is a pretty big money saver and the outside of the shoe has held up beautifully to keep going. We are able to get at least 8 months out of sneakers with the insert that can be removed to gain another 1/2 size. Great buy for fast growing children!

Whenever a kids shoe fits perfectly right out of the box, it's a win! These were comfortable and have lasted pretty well over the past few months! My kids are pretty tough on shoes and this pair is doing great! Will buy again.

Great fit

Not wide enough for my daughter's wide feet, but very cute and sturdy shoes.

My 2 year old granddaughter loves these shoes so I bought her another pair in a different color. We tried the Saucony brand several times but had to return them because they were very difficult to put on. These shoes are easy to put on and are lightweight. We will continue to purchase this brand.

These shoes are a perfect fit for my daughter! We love the design, the quality and the comfort they give. She could wear them all day long. Thank you for such a brilliant product!

This is our second pair of pediped shoes for our daughter. They really last and are a high quality shoe. Will be buying more as she grows.

Light weight, super cute.

This is my daughter's fifth pair of these style of PediPeds. They are comfy, easy for her to put on by herself, and usually stand up to at lest 6 months of wear and tear. Highly recommend.

Fantastic! These have held up for 8 months of daily wear to school & play. Only now being outgrown & showing some signs of wear. They come with an insert that allows for more growing room, which gave us a extra months in these! The shoe also accommodates my daughter’s orthopedic arch & heel support better than any other shoe she’s had. The color is beautiful. Buy them!

Excellent shoe! My daughter has intoeing, and slightly wide feet. These are the only shoes she can wear that don’t throw her balance off. They are lightweight, pull the feet in a forward position, but are still sturdy like a tennis shoe. After buying 3 pair of shoes that made her have falls, these are a winner.

Super light weight, true running shoes for kids. Fit my daughter as expected. Really impressed with this brand/shoe. And it looks really nice...seems to be good construction.

My seven year old loves these. Easy to put off and on by herself quickly. Wearing well. We have become very loyal to Pediped tennis shoes !

Pediped always makes great shoes. They have that great flex feature that allows for a more natural gait and easier movement, and they hold up well to rough play. My daughter doesn't have any trouble putting these on or taking them off by herself, and says that they've very comfortable. We've even gently handwashed them after getting in the mud, and they came out good as new.

My 6 year old daughter loves these shoes. They are the second pair we've owned and will likely get another pain once these wear out. They are a bit pricey, but they are comfortable and durable. My daughter is hard on her shoes and these have held up well
