I purchased these boots two seasons ago. I’ve worn them maybe 5 or 6 times. I went to reach for them last week to find the backs of both boots are completely separating ..the plastic type material is separating from the leather material. These should have held up a lot better. When I called Northface their advertised “LIFETIME WARRANTY" is now a “ONE YEAR WARRANTY”. I was told to mail them into headquarters and they will decide if they can REPAIR THEM AT MY EXPENSE! These boots should be replaced no questions asked! I am getting ready to purchase yet another pair to replace these ... but they WONT BE NORTH FACE. I live in the mountains and need good quality gear. I thought NF was the company to supply that need. I will be looking at other brands for here in out.

These boots are fine for fashion and for minimal use in winter weather but be warned, they will not last with regular use! I’ve had these for two years, wore them only for short periods on ski vacations (2-3 per year) and they were fine. Within the last two weeks I’ve been walking my dog in them in the frozen NE and they split at the sole. The rubber completely separated, leading to a freezing and wet right foot. There is no saving them either. Very sad. Will not purchase another pair of North Face boots again.

I've had these boots for about a year and they are horrible! I have barely worn them at all and the rubber soles have started coming off! I've worn them in deep snow and I noticed that my feet and socks get soaked with icy water. It's miserable and gross! They are very cute, but I don't care about cute if they aren't practical. I paid a ridiculous amount of money for shoes that fell apart with little use. I called the warranty department and they basically said I can pay to ship them and IF they agree that it's their fault that I can pay for repairs. However, I would be out of boots for weeks possibly in the middle of a bunch of snow storms. I would seriously suggest you invest your money in a company that actually cares about it's customers.

Great boot. I love that the laces help you get a custom fit. All seams are nicely padded. I have not worn the in snow yet but they seem warm and my family's loved all of our other North Face boots. They are a bit difficult to take off. They are stiff. You need to do a lot of unlacing. They absolutely run narrow in the foot and calf. This is great for me as I have very small calves and a narrow foot. If you have a wide foot or large calves, this may not be the boot for you.

Living in Colorado I need a good go-to waterproof boot. These snow boots are terrific for running around doing normal activities that you would like waterproof boots to do. Shoveling snow, running to the grocery store, sledding, walking to lodge of the ski hill, and waiting at the bus stop, these boots have held up well. My feet were warm. My toes got a little cold while sledding, but not uncomfortable. I could have worn better socks. The foot bed is terrific! Moderate arch support. I have very high arches. But the comfort on the bottom of my feel are like a memory foam bed. Really nice. They come up to the middle of my calf. There are a lot of laces. Good for getting a good perfect fit. Bad because you have to unlace everything to get the boots off. I have been searching for boots for a while, buying and returning, until these. Very pleased.

Just got these for Christmas folks, the ENTIRE top of the boot separated from the leather, and now customer service will not stand behind their product. Never buying ANYTHING of this brand again. EVER. 12" of snow on the ground, another 8 inches coming and had to go spend more money on a stinking pair of boots just so I can shovel snow. One upset customer.

I loved these boots so much! Unfortunately the softer tread on the bottom is coming unattached from the harder rubber upper on the bottom - on both boots! I'm sooooo disappointed. I purchased them under a year ago, and they were stored in my closet for more then half of that time.

These are excellent and came in handy in the recent DC blizzard. I was deciding between these and a pair of Pajar Canada'. I liked the look of the Pajars but the stability and comfort of the North Face won hands down. I usually wear a size 7½, or size 8 in hiking and athletic shoes. The 7½ was a bit too snug so I opted for the 8. The insoles are removable but I like the boot a little snug and extra stable so I actually add my orthotic to the boot and now have incredible arch support. The arch support without orthotics is pretty good, too. I have fallen on ice a few times and I am thrilled to have a boot that gives me more confidence in the snow and ice. These have padding along the ankle that adds to the stability. They are also nice and warm. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I bought these boots to prepare for my first winter in Canada, and they are fantastic. I wasn't happy with my old snow boots (a pair of Kamik tall slip-ons with a loose liner that kept coming out with my foot whenever I took them off), so I decided to try lace-ups this time around. It takes a little more time to lace in and out of these boots, but it's worth it to me to get a better fit around my ankles and calves. PROS: 1. Warm and toasty. 2. Definitely waterproof. (I've stepped in several ankle-deep puddles with no adverse effects.) 3. Super cute. (Several compliments at work!) 4. Really comfortable. 5. Good quality. (Worn them 5 or 6 times this week, and they don't show any signs of wear.) 6. Ordered my regular athletic shoe size. CONS: 1. Takes a little time to lace in and lace out. 2. A bit stiff the first 1-2 times wearing. (Are fully comfortable now.)

My size is 6.5 so I usually buy an extra side because my feet is also wide. I've been flirting with this boot for a while and finally got it! The style is very cute, sort of fashionable. It's perfect for snow days, last week we had a bad day and the boots did the job. I super recommend it!

I like that this boot is a blend of rainboot and winterboot. Rigid like a wellie but insulated. The tongue of the boot is connected to the boot above midway- keeping out moisture. Great design.

I purchased these boots less than a month ago and have worn them three times. The sole has torn away from the boot in the back on both boots. Very disappointed because they were so warm and comfortable! This was my first North Face shoe purchase and will probably be my last

The EXACT thing happened to me that happened to the reviewer back in November 2017 -- two seasons in, the boots are separating. They were comfortable, warm, and completely waterproof, which is great, but apparently they have a two season lifespan. Is that worth $140? You be the judge.

I have lived in Ohio my entire life so you would think that within the last decade I would have owned a pair of snow boots---you would be wrong. I DID just buy a house on an acre so the importance of a good boot was made all the more clear. These boots have changed my life! My feet are toasty but not too warn and comfy.

I shopped for an entire day and as usual this was the last pair of boots I tried on and loved them!!! Another awesome thing about these boots is they do not hurt with ankle socks. I usually have to wear boot socks with boots but these are so cumfy that is not necessary.

These definitely run small; I wear an 8.5 in sneakers, and ordered these in a 9. Felt fine trying them on inside, even with medium weight wool socks, but having walked several miles in them now I kind of wish I'd bought the 9.5, just for extra wiggle room through the toes. Aside from sizing issues, they've been great. Pretty good traction on ice (still need to adjust your stride some; they aren't equivalent to ice cleats), warm so far (it's been below freezing here, but not super cold), waterproof in the gross salty slush puddles that are an inevitable part of winter where I live. The height is really nice; I'm 5'3" and they come up to mid calf. High enough to deal with minor snowbanks at crosswalks, but not so high as to be stiff and annoying. These are definitely not a "throw on and go" boot; there are a *lot* of laces, so it takes more effort to get them on and off and you may need to sit down. The first few times I wore them I had to adjust the laces a bit after I'd walked some, but I'm getting the hang of it now I think. On the plus side, so many laces mean you can really customize the fit through the ankle and calf. I've probably walked five or six miles in these so far, and they're definitely comfy. Could have a touch more arch support, but I have high arches so it probably won't be an issue for most people. The ankles are really padded, which feels a little weird at first but it means they don't rub the way lots of snow boots do. The padding already seems to be molding to fit my ankles, and it's been great for warmth. TL;DR: Warm, waterproof, comfy. Laces may annoy some. Run small so order up!

I purchased these shoes to wear on my trip to Jackson Hole this winter. I live in the South so it doesn't snow here, but they are cute and warm enough to wear when it gets chilly here. They are extremely cute and comfortable. I searched everywhere for a stylish but warm snow boot and this was the winner!

I would like to start off by saying that I was searching for good snow/winter boots for a while, until I found these. These boots are great! Unlike previous boots I had, these boots keep my feet warm and dry. They fit pretty true to size I suggest wearing very warm socks in very cold conditions, as my toes did get cold after a whole being outside in 0°F. One thing to keep in mind is you have to lace and unlace the entire boot to get your foot in and out. Not a big deal for me though. I received these boots and unfortunately I had one that was defective (right foot something poked into me). I called Zappos and they had a new pair overnighted to me. It was so easy! Thanks, Zappos, for making the exchange such an easy process.

This super cute boot definitely kept me warm in Tahoe this time of year with lows in the 20s and 30s and had enough room for thick socks for a snowmobile trip and my feet. It wasn't any more or less special than the standard snow shoe though when it came to super icy snow. I definitely slipped along with the rest of the group on the mountain however my feet weren't icicles like everyone elses' at the end of the trip. As a city dweller I thought it could do double duty for the rain out here but the grip wasn't metal grate friendly. Here in the city definitely weighed me down on a faster paced walk and tended to hurt my shins a bit because they weren't as flexible as rainboots. LOVE the overall look though and the functionality and would recommend for someone looking for a great snow shoe.

I purchased these boots the end of December 2015 when the army relocated us to Illinois, I bought as I thought being from the south I’d need them in Illinois. Well long story short I maybe wore 10 times in the 2 1/2 years we were there, in we live in Portland Maine and I’ve worn them quite a few times in the past few months. They have kept my feet warm and dry until the other day, I came in and my heel was cold and wet. After inspecting my boots I found out that they had torn apart where they leather meets the rubber bottoms. Very disappointed in these boots as I had expected them to last many seasons especially after hardly wearing them. North face only offers a year warranty on their foot wear so I’m stuck trying to repair them or replace them.

These warm "girl" boots are comfortable right out of the box. They even 'spring' a bit when I walk which I enjoy. Put them right on and went out into freezing temperatures and my feet stayed warm the entire time. I wanted a boot that was not so ugly, one I could wear with jeans, tights or a skirt...two out of three is not bad. They are not dress up-able. Plenty of room for warm thick socks. I wear a 9 and these were perfect with support.
I'd also recommend:

These boots are amazing! Comfortable, warm, dry and actually pretty attractive for a snow boot, I wore these for a week in the sierras in 7 degree weather and still didn't want to take them off when I got home. Buy them, you won't regret it.

I tried on A LOT of boots trying to decide what to buy for my trip to Iceland. I was stuck between these North Face and the Sorel....I really wanted a warm boot but I also needed to be able to hike for a long time. Anyway, these are like wearing sneakers. They are so light and easy to walk in. They are MUCH lighter than the Sorel Joan of Artic. I wore these on a glacier and snowmobiling for a couple of hours. My toes did get a little cold after a couple of hours but I could have worn 2 pairs of socks. These are even more comfortable than my UGGS!
