It would be a great product but I order mine on March 13, 2022 so once it got delivered I have only had it for about 2 months and the side brush motor is already shot. I would think when you pay almost $200 for this product that the side brush would last alot longer and you really need the side brush for it to operate like it is suppose to.

The spinner brush is key to the Roomba working really well. With it going, it's amazing, but I've found it stops working for brief periods pretty regularly. I'll clean out the area and fiddle with it and get it to go again, but after a few months it can stop completely. Talk with the service team as they're generally great and if it happens quickly will ship a new one out to you free of charge. I'm sure it's a known problem at this point.

I hope their 'back order' status means they are making a better quality replacement part after such horrible reviews. I will gladly wait and sweep out my own edges 'till then. My first one lasted 4 or 5 years. Why not make extra for parts instead of getting sub-made cheap parts? Bad business. Roomba could lose it's high quality reputation if Consumer Guide knew this.

My granddaughter has the green North Face jacket that matches this hat. She loves both and will be keeping both even though the hat is too small to cover her ears. Does not fit like a stocking cap but like a beanie.

Side brush stopped working after 2 months. I replaced the brush, but still doesn't work. I was really happy with it before that.

I ordered a replacement brush but could never get it to fit because The screw didn't fit. I put the rumba away for I think a year and now I pulled it back out and I use it without the side brush but I am so unhappy that I cannot get it to be replaced correctly. Now the one that is shown here it's not the same type of instrument is on the room but I have.

I've probably replaced this part at least 4 times over several years. I took one apart and the failure is with the plastic gears inside. When the brush gets stuck against something or clogged (which is bound to happen at some point as the robot vacuums) the gear inside just grinds all it's teeth up. Once the gear teeth are mangled the motor can no longer turn the brush consistently. If they upgraded the gear material to brass or metal of some sort I think this part would have a lot more longevity. I do like the modularity of the vacuums and that the parts are all designed to be easily replaced.

We replaced the original side brush module in February 2019 after it stopped working after about 2.5 years. Replacement module did not make it through June 2019. We are probably going to have to replace it unless we want to buy a new one.

The side brush module for my 960 died 90 days after purchase. However, I only use it once a week (no pets). So, technically the module failed after 12-15 uses.
It's a good unit and cleans well, but the engineering team needs to go back and rework this module. The side brush is a useful feature. Anything that fails that quickly is the result of a poor design.

I purchased a set of side brushed. The screw is incompatible with the brush and has negatively impacted cleaning. I am reordering a module and side brush with the hope that a new set will be a solution. Yet, I am doubtful

If I could give 0 stars I would. Only had vac for a few months and motor that spins small side brush went out. Really a shame it's that easy to wear out for the dang price it costs.

After receiving the side brush replacement module for my 690 and installing it, the brush did not spin. After going through trouble shooting steps I compared the two actual parts. The old part has flat metal contact points and the new module has two tabs....that look like they are to be soldered to wiring. Clearly not the same part even though the web site says it is compatible with the 500-900 series models.
See review photos from a previous review submitted in a previous review. My situation is the exact same.

I love my roomba but the side brush is poorly made. the side brush is needed for a good cleaning . It broke after 4 months of use. I purchased this room a in May. Customer service sent me a replacement brush but it does not fit. The screws are wrong. I have contacted you again , through the app and emails and no one responds. This is under warranty. When you pay as much as I did for this roomba you would not expect it to break after 4 months. I see the other reviews and they say the same thing!!

I bought this side brush module on 3/31/22 to replace one that broke with my e5 iRobot after several years. After noticing the module not rotating anymore two weeks ago, I unscrewed the module to clean it. I noticed hairs got stuck in the module which caused it to not rotate. But I also noticed that after unscrewing the module for only the second time, the metal screw that holds it together had already broken like the original one I had! Luckily it had broken deep in the screw, so hopefully my iRobot can still run. Still, is this defective side brush module covered in the one year warranty?

Same story as another reviewer. The replacement part I received was supposed to be compatible with the 800 series. I have the 890. The part I received has pins that do not match up with the springs in the Roomba. I reached to customer service and was told I had the correct replacement part and that I needed to pay $150 and send the entire Roomba back for repair.

Like another reviewer mentioned, the module comes with the wrong motor for 690 series. The side brush it comes with is also too small by about half an inch.
Luckily, all I needed to replace was the white plastic gear with the screw housing for the side brush itself. So I removed the gear, installed it in my old module, and put it back together. Either way, it's supposed to come with a motor compatible with a 692 and it did not.

Listing states this unit fits 900, 800, 700, 600 and 500 series. It does not fit the 690. 690 has spring contacts on the motor and this module has pins

I love my roomba and bought them as gifts for others but the side brush is poorly made it strips out and the screw falls out and the side brush is needed for a good cleaning. It's too and this has happened a couple times and it gets expensive to keep buying the side brush next but I will be looking at a different brand
