For those like myself who have bad feet (plantar fasciitis, plantar plate tear 2nd metatarsal), these are working well for me. Very comfortable arch contours. Plenty of room in the toe both sideways and up/down. Most shoes I am size 9, but I purposely bought 9.5 to wear at work, because I sit all day in front of a computer. Shoes that squeeze my feet when I am sitting cause a lot for pain for me. These are very roomy in width which is good for me. When walking in them they are very comfortable, and prevent too much pressure on my fore foot, helping minimize my plantar plate pain. These are keepers. I got these because I've had Keen sandals for over 3 years now, which work well for minimizing foot pain. I was hoping these shoes would feel similar to the sandals and they do. Very good. Very happy with these.

3rd pair or these. First 2 were awesome, these were NOT. Changed something, I thought they would break in but never did. Footbed is too stiff, shoe never broke in. They changed something in this shoe but not exactly sure what. Uppers are stiff and won’t break in. The only real difference I noticed on visual inspection is in Keen label, went from yellow writing to white background. Stay away from white/clear background on tongue. Changed leather or footbed for quality. DEFINITELY would Not recommend new style. Had to check one star for comfort but wouldn’t even give them that. They changed and Keen needs to fix whatever this is. Cheaper/craptastic.

Very good shoe for these messy cold winter days.

They made a bad fold when walking that hurt the top of your feet....shame because I really like them

Wide toe box. I use these shoes during the wet seasons in Idaho. On my third pair.

These are a great shoe. Especially for folks who need more room in the toe box. I’ll wear these for years!

I've been getting this pair of shoes every year since about 2008. I usually get 13s, but sometimes those have been too big, so I get the 12s.

Fit and size was dead on. Been searching for over three years for a shoe/ boot that feels this good . Have severe foot/leg idiopathic neuropathy and getting a good fit and comfort has been difficult. I abused abused my feet at a younger age with outdoor activities and now I am paying for it. The Portsmouth is a gift from heaven! Took two days to break in. Just absolutely love them.?????

This shoe is the best shoe for my feet! It's unfortunate that they don't make a dress version of these shoes.

I am a female who normally takes a size 9. In this man's shoe I take an 8. I need the width of this shoe to accommodate a severe foot injury - broken toes and metatarsals. So far this is the ONLY shoe that is comfortable and offers some support, at the same time. Great toe box. Great find. I ordered an additional pair for outdoor work.

I am a female and I bought a man's size 8 because, following a severe injury my right foot can be accommodated only in a man's wide shoe. So far this is THE BEST width I have found, across the toe box. Will have to take it to a shoe repair person to get something put in to narrow the heel. Very comfortable so far.

i have an old pair of these shoes, and the sizing has definitely changed. i am a size 11 in keen. have been for years. i'm 49, so not going through any growth spurts. i bought my usual size 11 and they were very hard to get on my feet. very tight. i returned them and purchased 11 1/2 instead. they fit great. and they're just getting broken in. love my keens. if you haven't tried keens, they are wonderful. they feel like you've worn them, the first time you put them on your feet. and they wear well and last.

I love these shoes! I have been looking for a replacement for my old Keen Boston II's, but the Boston III is not it. The Portsmouth does not require the inserts I use with other shoes for support, and the toe box is nice and wide, which I need as a big guy. Enough typing. Going to buy another pair before they magically run out. Cheers!

Great shoe. Wore my last pair for two years before getting this pair. Just as happy second time around.

Wish the tongue was a little longer as it doesnt break quite right on my upper foot,but I think I'll get used to that. Slightly clunky buy hey,it's Keen. Excellent quality.

Love these shoes! I bought a pair about 2 and a half years ago. I liked them a lot but could not find them anywhere. Nice every day shoes. Very durable and waterproof. They take a few days of wear to break in. I have a narrow foot and they have a little extra room for me.

I really liked this show. The only issue i had was that my heel was slipping and loose. i tried a bunch of socks but all didnt work. If you are looking for a nice rugged well made and comfortable urban shoe...this is it.

This shoe runs a bit large. The size on the box equates US size 11 with a EU size 44.5. I usually get a EU size 44. Not a big difference but the shoe does feel big (long). Otherwise, this is another fine shoe from Keen. Roomy toe box, good support, and weel built.

After trying on many shoes recently, this pair and the New Balance 840v4 are the only ones I can wear. I have very high arches, and neuroma currently. Highly recommend this shoe if you have high arches. I wear it with my Aetrex insoles (with metatarsal pad).

Fit was good , comfortable with no break in excellent shoe just wish they would do away with the laces

These are simply the greatest shoe, ever. The wide toe box is extremely comfortable, the look is good with anything, and they are sturdy as heck. I love them. Love. Them.

This shoe is fantastic. Fan-tas-tic. It does have a very wide toe box, but it's not ill-fitting, it's the design and it does not feel like you are swimming in the shoe, rather that it's a comfortable fit. It's nice enough to wear with pants to work, and you can hike all day in them. These shoes rock.

The keen Portsmouth is by far the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. I generally have a lot of trouble finding shoes that fit. I'm a size 14 & wider than 6E width. These only come in D's but this D is plenty wide. I have very high arches and this shoe's arch support actually stabilizes my my foot and my balance. The style might not be for everyone but I'm more about the function and frankly, the looks don't bother me at all. So, if you have wide feet, high arches and want some very comfortable/supportive shoes, give these a try!
