I also disagree with the reviewer who left a negative review saying that the laces were only for show and not functional (huh?). That is not true not even sure how this person came to that conclusion. As the other reviewer mentioned, you can lace them up as tightly or loosely as you wish (tighter is best in my opinion). These are Uggs at their best in comfort and cuteness (to me, aesthetically, they're a cross between a moccasin and an ugg). Of course this style Ugg isn't for everyone (just as with an style shoe/boot). But for me, I fell in love instantly and once I put them on (and laced them up), I fell in love even more (I got the chestnut). SUPER cozy, SUPER comfortable, and SUPER adorable! AND, these already come waterproofed so no need to spray on your own. Love, love, LOVE, these boots! Thank you Ugg for designing these wonderful boots! :)

The boot is cute, but I don't know if it's just me, but these are the most difficult shoes I have ever put on. There is literally no give whatsoever. I thought the tongue portion of the boot would separate a little bit from the back so that you could slip your foot in easily, but nope. I cannot get my foot in them for the life of me without nearly breaking my ankle and foot in the process. I just don't get it. I've tried loosening the laces as much as possible but that doesn't help as it's the boot that doesn't give at all. The angle of the boot with no give to put your foot in is nearly impossible. Anyway, I'm still deciding if I'm going to keep them. They are cute and super comfortable, but I really wanted something I could slip on and off with ease, not spend 5 minutes trying to get it on and nearly breaking my foot in the process!

I could not get the boots on my feet. They are extremely cute, and I have owned other pairs of Uggs, so I ordered the size I know to fit, and I could not get my feet in the boots. The laces did not loosen it up at all, or assist in getting the boot on. I have never had this issue before with any shoe/boot. I am not sure what the problem is, but I will need to return them.

Love these boots. I wanted different then the classic uggs. so comfortable and keep my feet warm. Definitely will be getting them in the other colors

I absolutely love this boot! I also purchased them in black, their so comfortable. A slight struggle to put on initially but after a wear or two it's a perfect fit!

Love these! They are fantastic and do not look like everyone else's Uggs. I get compliments from people when I wear them. You do not have to untie them every time you put them on no matter what people say!!

These are super cute boots that provide style with warmth. I got the Chestnut in a size 8, which fit perfectly. I would say they run a little small. I normally wear a size 7 in the original Ugg Classic Short boot. The boot might be a little tighter slipping them on initially, but not after the first few times. Have a cute booty/moccasin look. I would purchase them again!

Very different looking! True to size. I wear a 6 in the normal classic short and ordered a 6 in these and they fit perfectly. They are not as easy to slip on and off, but I tied them loose enough to be able to do so. You can adjust that easily with how you tie them up. I ordered the chestnut color because I liked the white bottoms, but I'm considering ordering the nightfall as well. They're just so cute and go with everything!

These are great! I know some people have said they have a hard time getting them on, but I have the widest, fattest feet, and they slid on no problem. I measure 5.5, but ordered these in a 6 because I want to be able to wear thick socks. They are the perfect causal slip on shoe for winter.

These are awesome!! They will look great with skinny jeans or leggings. The laces add a little interest and can be used to get a more secure fit. I wore them all day at work (standing at a standing desk) and my feet did not complain. They seem to fit a little smaller than other Ugg boots; usually the 9 is slightly too big on me, but the 9 fit me perfectly. I did not find the boots difficult to put on as other reviewers have said. The shearling lining seems thinner than in my previous pairs of Uggs, but overall the quality seems good.

Great boots for winter! Super cute and very comfy. I have a really high arch and they were a little difficult to get on but the more I wear them the easier it gets.

These are the best! I have a few pairs of the Classic Tall in size 8 and assumed the same for these but an 8 was too small and difficult to get on - the 9 is perfect and not at all difficult to get on.

Excellent cold weather boots. Very comfortable and warm. Even in sz.12, they don't look big, just the other way, they make my feet look smaller. Very easy to slip on and off.

Yeah, these boots are awesome! The reviewer who said that she almost breaks her ankle getting them on is totally wrong...her cheese must have slipped off her cracker. You do have to pull them on, but that's how it is with all boots. If you love the comfort and style of Uggs, GET THESE BOOTS! They run true to size; that is, I'm an 8M in the classic boots and an 8M in these fit perfectly.

Love! I started wearing the classic tall Uggs ten years ago. I've gone through two pairs of classic talls and then saw these Lodge boots. I fell in love and had to have them. They're everything I hoped and more. I'm an 8M in the classic talls and got an 8 in the Lodge boots. They fit great - like any other Ugg boot, they're a bit snug around your foot at first, but will stretch and conform to your foot a bit with time and wear. Get the same size in these that you would get in the classic boots.

Very cute, just a little different from other UGGS I own. And they lace I don't understand what the issue is when some say they don't lace...they certainly do.

I bought these in the moonrise color since I have enough black and brown boots and love them! They come with extra grey laces if you don't like red, which I personally love the PPP of color. They are super comfortable and you can just slip them on like the ugh short boots. Also love that they come waterproofed already! My new favorite!

This is by far the best pair of boots that I have ever worn. I was in very cold weather for a week and my feet stayed nice and warm with thin socks. These are also true to size.

I tried these boots on in black at Nordstrom's today and loved them, but wanted to see if Zappos had a better price. They don't so I may go buy at Nordstrom's since they are approximately 4 minutes from my house. I live in an upscale urban area in Indianapolis. But I wanted to comment because the reviewer here talking about the laces being only decorative is certainly out to lunch. I laced the boots tightly and even wrapped the laces around the top of the boot before tying in front. I have fairly thin ankles and the laces are long. The boot and laces are functional which I love. Hate decoration for decoration's sake. This style is one of the more comfortable UGGs and a fun look to boot (was that a pun?).

Love!!! Unlike previous reviewer said, the laces are functional! That's one of the reasons I love this boot. I like being able to make them as tight as I need them to be. I love these so much that I purchased them in both the moonrise and chestnut colors. Am planning to get them also in black.

These are super-comfy but the insoles are very thin, so I replaced them with the better Ugg insoles which also helped a little with the absent arch support in the flat, thin ones it came with. The only problem was the laces: they are 85" long! I had to buy replacement laces that were standard boot length at 60". I tried contacting UGG but they said I'd have to pay to ship them the boots for the correct laces under warranty. Not happening. Otherwise I love them and I like that I don't slip out at the heel like most UGGs because of the laces. I've had lots of compliments already.

Bought these in my usual size and could barely get my feet in them. Once they were on they were very comfortable. So cute and different! I almost returned them, as going up a size might make them too big. But I love the look and I got them on sale, so I'm hoping they'll loosen up a little as I keep wearing them!
