These are the best boots IN THE WORLD! My HS Senior daughter needed an excellent boot to do A LOT of walking around Europe (4 countries in 10 days. They walked over 40 miles on the tours.) during a Spring Break trip. These boots did the trick! She was comfortable and had no problems. We purchased these boots several months prior to the trip and she wore them to school almost every day. They needed no breaking in at all. Although these boots are pricey, they were worth it!

These boots are awesome. I went hiking in Wisconsin and the lug sole offered spectacular durability. I noticed my feet didn't hurt once. This was very rugged terrain and the boots were a life-saver. I recommend them highly; they look very stylish, are easy to get off and on and perform great. My feet are a little on the wide side and the boots fit perfectly.

I love these boots. Not really what I was planning on buying, but love the laces plus the zipper. With a fat ankle that I broke three years ago, I couldn't wear any other boot. This is easy to get on and I can tighten the laces for extra support. The leather is heavy and beautiful and the sole great for walking in WI snow.

I love these boots. I nought them back in November and have worn them all winter in dry or lightly snowing/raining days. They are not boots for deep snow but they have a good tread and are good for long walks. I love these boots. They are so comfortable. They have a cool edgy sort of style. They look fabulous with skinny jeans. Excellent quality as you would expect from Ecco. I love them.

They are the most comfortable boots! I wore them for a 3 day trip to NYC and walked the city in them. Highly recommend!

I've worn these boots only a few times now, so I can only speak to what my first impressions have been. Seems to be a well made boot, lightweight and looks great. I went with a half size up for more space for my toes. I love the side zipper so I don't have to lace up each time, and the waterproofing exterior is a plus- though I have not tested this yet. The only slight downside is that these boots show wear very quickly.

The boots rock! I was looking for something to wear to a trip to the Grand Canyon next month, but that is also somewhat fashionable and not totally inappropriate for Florida weather (home). These fit the bill. They are extremely comfortable and totes cute. They seem to have good ankle support and grippy soles. I haven't tested them in the rain or snow yet, so I can't speak to how they hold up in weather. They are light enough for Florida, but with a wool sock seem pretty warm (again, haven't tested in cold weather yet). They are also cute enough that I feel fine wearing them to work on casual days. Size wise they are on point. I wear an 8 and the 39 fits great with both a normal sock and thick sock.

I absolutely love this boot. Back packed around Germany, Switzerland and hiked the Cinque Terra in Italy in these boots. I did very little to "wear them in" before i left and they were fantastic. I wore them with tights and a black dress to go out and I wore them with jeans for casual. They looked fabulous and never pinched or hurt my feet. Been buying shoes for myself for 36 years and never had a boot that was this easy to wear anywhere. My feet thank you!

These are beautiful boots and they're super comfortable! I bought them for a trip to Manhattan and wore them a good 10-12 hours a day. We went nonstop! These kept up with the pace, keeping my feet comfortable and dry (it rained a good bit). You can dress these up with tights and a skirt or wear them with jeans. About the boot: I wear an 8 in most boots and the 39 fit perfectly. My foot is on the narrow side and the width was perfect. I wore them with socks. The insole is just felt, so I replaced it with my own insole. I don't know why the description calls it "two-tone" because it's all the same black color. I think the leather is just a little different. LOVE these boots! I'd buy another color, but live in Florida and don't get to wear boots that often.

I have a wide front foot and a narrow heel. These are a great shape for me. They are a lean shoe. No padding. After 3 all day wears, they are already like old friends. Yes, a bit stiff at first, but they soften quickly. I took a long walk in them on my second day and I felt a little rubbing in the heel, but not anymore. They scuff super easily. These are not dress shoes. I think eventually they will get an all over worn look and not looked just scratched. Great quality leather and the sole is awesome for here in Vermont. I wear a size 6 1/2- 7 and the 37s fit perfectly with a decent sock. Yes the long laces seem odd when there is a zipper, but you can always buy shorter laces if that bothers you. They are high quality though and stay tied, unlike some round laces. Can wear with jeans or casual skirts. The insole comes out. Not much arch support, so I will probably put in superfeet eventually.

I love the look of these boots and I love the fit of Eccos so I was sure that I would keep these. Unfortunately, the leather is very stiff and really hurts my ankles. I cannot wear them.

A beautiful shoe. However, once I put them on, they were so stiff and confining, it was all too painful to break in. So I boxed them up to sent back. I had on very thin socks when I did try them and the shoe itself was very narrow and snug. I have a lot of outdoor gear. I have other extremely agile, and rugged boots that are rated for rough terrain and for Arctic level work. However, I believe these boots look good in theory for outdoor use, but are pure show ponies. Do not get me wrong. These are BEAUTIFUL boots. Buttery! Leather craftsmanship is amazing.

These didn't work for my feet due to prior surgery, but they were snug and fit well over winter socks. Also very cute looking and not too clunky. For someone without surgical scars these would be great.

Cute! I love the zipper access for easy on & off.. The only drawback is the narrowness of the toe box. It pinches after an hour or so and hasn't broken in yet. These boots are very stiff & retain their shape.

Great waterproof boot for wearing around town! I wanted something a little nicer than a hiking boot or snow boot for wearing in the wet fall/winter weather. I'm a size 9 and ordered a 40 and they fit great with room for thicker socks if I choose. I may replace the removable footbed with something that suits my arch but for now they are fine. I don't lace the top because if they are too tight, they rub my shin. I have a similar pair of Eccos from years ago and they have lasted very well. Hoping for the same with these. Overall I'm happy with these boots!

Very comfortable right out of the box.

I just got these and so far SO good. They will defiantly take some breaking in.They seem durable. They are light weight. The laces over the zipper thing is weird, but looks great :-) and isn't too cumbersome. i hope they hold up to everyday use this winter.

Love the look of this boot! If you have wide feet recommend buying a size up. I am also going to purchase the boot in brown.

LOVED the boot but after 6 weeks of wear the leather began peeling away from the sole. So disappointed. I would give 5 stars as super comfy and looks great but went down a star due to the durability of the boot. I live in the Pacific NW so I was wearing them in the rain-nothing exciting like I was tromping through rough forest/terrain and such. Should have been more durable. poo. Such a pretty boot. **To top it off Zappos doesn't offer this boot any longer so unable to exchange. So sad.

Very light. I thought they would be heavier and chunkier, but they are very light. Fit true to size. To me personally, they did not look good from the front. They look nice from the side, but from the front they looked kind of wide at the top. Not what I was going for.

They look good and were comfortable right out of the box, but they came out my second choice among the boots I tried, for two reasons. One, there's a side zip, but laces that wrap all the way around the top, so the convenience of the side zip is ruined, and 2. the fabric mesh lining just seems like it might wear out before the rest of the shoe.I feel that for the money it should have sturdier lining.
