I love these boots! They're basically paddock boots, but dressier. I'm a pilot and needed boots that met three specific requirements. First, they had to be dressy enough to look sharp with my uniform (and I wanted some heel). Two, they had to have a good sole for preflighting airplanes on sloppy winter days. And three, most importantly, they still had to look fabulous enough to wear out on an overnight so I wouldn't have to pack another pair of shoes. I almost went with Ariats just because they're cheaper but I'm glad I got these instead. Not to knock Ariats- I've had several pairs and they've been great, I just like these better. I'm still breaking them in but haven't had any trouble. I have wide feet and thought I'd have to get them stretched but so far so good. A little squeaky at first but otherwise no problems.
I did go into my local shoe repair shop to replace the laces (I didn't like the fat leather ones that came with them) and the shop owner commented on how well made Frye's are and thought I'd get at least 10 years out of them. So they are definitely worth the price! LOVE!!

Much better fit and comfort than the Sabrina Oxford! these are made in the USA, the quality is spot-on, heel height is perfecto, and the detailing is so very cute - gives the look of the foot to appear smaller than un-adorned Sabrina styles. The soles are especially good - one continuous surface instead of the break line, that deteriorated on my Carson lug lace ups. Get them!

These are by far the nicest shoes I have tried on from Frye. The quality and craftsmanship is superb.
They do run a bit narrow, but with time will stretch to perfection. I wore them for a few hours a couple of days and yesterday a wore them all day. They started to mold to my feet and I am sure I will wear them until they wear out. I have to agree with a review I read about the laces, I too changed them for a less bulky lace that is much easier to adjust and tie. I have a high arch and these offer good support:)

I bought these boots just before having back surgery. Fusion, and a mesh implant. Anyway, I've been wearing them daily since being back home, and they are super comfy and I've had so many comments about them! I LOVE them, and haven't once regretted spending the money. The fit is great and they don't bother my back at all. Did I say I LOVE THEM???

These boots are worth every penny and will last a lifetime. I bought these as my main riding boots and they are comfortable and stylish along with being very high quality and will provide the protection I need. They are BEAUTIFUL!

Beautiful, heavy duty leather. Very comfortable. A bit hard to get on and off, but I hate-hate-hate zippers on lace up boots and that's the tradeoff. I am going to swap out the leather laces--this is a great and wonderful boot.

I love these boots! They are a bit chunky and heavy and they took several wears to break in. The leather is a bit stiff to start. The heel height is perfect though and they look great. They were a bit roomy but I stuck with my regular size as I will be wearing them with winter socks. I wore these boots in ice and snow last week and they kept my feet dry and warm and the heavy rubber tread on the bottom kept me steady on my feet.
They look fantastic with cuffed jeans but are nice enough to pair with wide leg pants or winter dresses in a pinch - I may trade out the leather laces like a previous reviewer as they give the boot a more casual look.
Tbh, these are not yet as comfortable as other Frye’s I own but they look great so I still love them.

Genuinely the most comfortable and versatile pair of boots that I own. Worth the price and I can really see these boots lasting me a long time.

I love this boot. It is the perfect blend of hipster grove and modern fashion and comfort. I honestly get compliments every time I wear them. Was admiring them for a while and am so very glad I now own them!!

I have had my eyes on these boots for awhile now and decided to pull the trigger after searching unsuccessfully for something similar but less expensive. I have several pairs of Fryes and don't believe there are many boot brands out there who come close to the quality and styling of Frye but it doesn't stop me from trying other brands once in awhile. Anyhow, in the "real world" I am a size 9. In Frye Boot World I wear an 8.5. I ordered these in an 8.5 and they are just right. Not perfect, but I am sure a 9 would be too big. I expect these will soften and slightly stretch as they are broken in; ultimately being perfect. This boot looks great with boyfriend jeans, especially. I couldn't be happier.

I was worried about purchasing these boots sight unseen online. As soon as i opened the box i fell in love with these gorgeous soft leather boots! They are so incredibly well made! Very Victorian looking and super comfortable. I have wide feet and have tried numerous boots on in stores and all of them are being made for skinny ankles! These are supreme leather and stretch to your shape after wearing them for awhile. Wore them right out of the box all day yesterday and adore them! Looks great with rolled up jeans! A must for any shoe lover's closet! I would order down a full size because they are made large.

This purchase was my first (of several more) Frye purchase ever. The ordering process is streamlined and the boots arrived very quickly, I think about 3 days. I needed a cute but edgy pair of fall/winter boots for work. I work in retail and am on a concrete floor all day, so I need a good, supportive sole and a heel that I can handle wearing all day. These boots fit the bill perfectly! I ordered in the light brown color, and I absolutely love the color. I'm considering ordering them in the black as well! The boots have a Vibram sole (lots of outdoor shoes, like Chacos, have Vibram soles), so I feel great walking around the concrete floors in them. Very supportive and durable, and my feet do not ache at all at the end of the day. The leather is quite stiff/thick, a bit moreso than I was expecting. Between the stiff leather and the laces, the puts are slightly difficult to put on and take off, but it's not really a big deal at all for me. It's well worth it for the look and quality of these boots. Even though the leather is stiffer than I initially would have liked, I appreciate the thickness now, because that is what will make these boots last. The older they get, the better they'll become! There is a little bit of a break in period due to the thick leather, but just in terms of creating the sag. No blisters or anything like that. My only real complaint is that the leather laces don't truly match. They are the same color and the same lace, but there is much more contrast between the oiled leather outer of the lace and the raw inside/side on one lace than the other (see pic). I asked people if they noticed, and they said they didn't notice until I pointed it out, so it's really just something that only I see I guess, and I am just fine with that. Overall, I am absolutely in love with these boots!

I bought these earlier this week and I'm already in love with them. The Cognac color goes with everything and the detail is amazing. They are a bit stiff (and if you have high arch these will be tight on top), but after one wear they are already loosening up. Love them so much!!!

I got these last fall and still loving them a year later. Very sturdy awesome leather boots with unique brogue detail. At first they were a little stiff but after a few wears they were fine. The leather laces are a really nice touch and they too have held up well, no sign of break down. I love to wear them with skinny jeans rolled up a little or just plain straight/boot leg jeans. My go to for the fall :)

I got these in cognac which is a deep, rich color. Runs 1/2 size large. I am 9M but got these in 8.5. A bit stiff at first and snug across instep but that relaxes after 2 wears. I conditioned with Frye leather cream and these polished up to a brilliant shine, softened, and the color became even richer (not darker)! Comfortable heel height. I add arch support and use thin-medium socks. This style will get you compliments everywhere you go. Great shoes make your whole look and these are so versatile. Worth the price.

I have been waiting for these since March, they are fantastic - worth the wait! They are very comfortable, the first day I wore them, I was on my feet all day, and had no pain at all! For all that love the chunky heel look, this is a must have. I believe the rubber sole gives them a bit more cushion than the sabrina double buckle, which I also have in three colors. I'm going back for another color!

Very cool boots - they are a bit stiff and hard so breaking them in might take some time. If you are looking for an automatically comfortable boot I would say go with something else.

I bought these boots about a month ago and upon taking them out of the box and wearing them around the house for a few hours they were immediately comfortable. They are supportive in their overall structure, they have a solid footbed/insole, and the fit is perfectly snug.
Initially, due to their weight and sturdy construction, they may feel a bit stiff. The weight of the boot can also be a bit much at first if you are not used to wearing heavier shoes to walk in. After wearing them continually since I bought them, they have only become more comfortable and easy to move around in. The substantial heel circumference and heel height is perfect and is not too much to stand in all day if you work at a standing desk or at a job that requires you to move around a lot.
The overall style is versatile as these boots can be dressed up or dressed down - worn with jeans, dresses, work attire, etc. The perforated details accent the shoe perfectly and are tied together well with stitching on either side. The leather laces are a nice detail that finishes off the shoe well, but are a bit long.
Aside from the initial weight of the shoe and the length of the laces, my only real complaint/concern is that the stitching on the medial parts of the perforation details of each boot is fraying already. I am hoping that this does not become worse.
I look forward to testing the all-day comfort in colder weather with thicker socks.

I bought this product back in November. They were exactly as pictured and completely wonderful. However, there are a bit stiff. The tops rub along your skin which can be painful at times if the socks aren't tall enough.

Right out of the box my feet fell in love with these. They hug them so nicely. Usually I'm between an 8 and an 8.5 US and the 8 fit perfectly.
The heel height is perfect for me as well as I do a lot of walking.

Got the sabrina in black cherry, Cognac and rouge for myself and black cherry and brouge for my sister for Christmas. All beautiful and well crafted apart from the rouge. I wear 7.5 and got size 8 to accomodate socks and tights. The fitting is good. The leather is beautiful. The Inside of the brogue boots has a complete dark contrast shading and no contrast variation on the outside. The heel on the right shoe sticks out further than the left shoe. From my perspective with all the other sabrina boots, the sole sticks out forward giving it a slight elongated look. So the left boot of the brouge has a shorter stuby look. They are going back. Quite disappointed.
