I was a bit hesitant in purchasing these given the fact that it's a Steve Madden brand. I haven't come to expect quality from them but thought I'd give it a shot since I loved the simple and classic look of the boot. My gamble totally paid off! These are some of the nicest boots I've owned, incredibly comfortable, no pinching or chafing anywhere. It's a taller heel but it seems like most of my weight settles in the heels so no sore toes so far. The leather is really beautiful (any minor tightness over the arch was worked out after a day or so) and the construction is great. They are handmade so there are a few "imperfections" that lend character to the look. I'm still breaking in the leather sole so they're pretty slippery but a few days running around outside should solve that. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous boots. The leather color is the perfect color to go with almost anything.

LOVE this bootie! It should be noted that these are much more like a bunch-made boot. The break-in on Freebirds is a bit longer than other shoes/boots due to the being all leather construction. Men compliment them as much as other women do! The notch at the front opening is really lengthening to the leg. These go with everything!

I LOVE these booties!! I have gotten tons of compliments on them and my daughter wants to wear them all the time too!! I/m a teacher and they are ok to teach in too. They do need a few days break in time because the leather is a little stiff at first, like another reviewer had stated. I can't say enough about these adorable little booties! I got the cognac and would love to have them in black too!!

These are lovely but too small. With a choice between 7 and 8 I had hoped that 7 would work. Shipping was prompt but the boots are too small. I am so sad. Back they go. I will try again.

After trying the Bed Stu Yell boot, I settled on these beautiful booties. They were more comfortable. That are refined and sexy, yet casual. I'm so happy with my purchase!

The boot itself was very cute, loved the distressing and finish to leather, but it just wasn't comfortable at all. I have never found a Steve Madden shoe that works for me, I thought the higher end version would have offered more comfort too, sadly it did not.

The style of this bootie is great, and they look good paired with ankle jeans, but for the price, they look cheap. The pair I received in Olive has what appears to be glue smeared all along the leather part of the shoe where it connects to the sole. I understand they are supposed to look distressed, but this just looks poorly manufactured. Also, the sole is so smooth there is no texture on it whatsoever, and I was slipping around the floor of my house with each step. These shoes are not worth the money in my opinion.

I was so excited to get these boots. They just arrived and I'm gutted. The scuffing is so much more than was pictured, to the point of ridiculous. They look like I had been dragged with the boots scraping the floor behind me. Sizing is very small aswell.
