This item exceeded my expectations. It is a bit difficult to put on, more so if one is already perspiring, but not impossible. Just take your time. Once on, it is quite comfortable; I could not really tell I had it on. I purchased this in black to go under my costume for a performance of contemporary ballet/modern. I was not hindered in my movements at all. I am a bit overweight, and it did what I wanted it to do to make my costume look better. We wore slim fitting black jazz pants, and it was important that there be no panty line. This solved that problem completely. I did not use the crotch opening, but you could use it to visit the bathroom in need be. I am 5'4", 160 lbs, athletic build, bust 37", waist 30", hips 40". I purchased the Medium and the Large. The Medium fit much better and provided better compression. I am short, and these seem to be long in the torso, so I might even try a Small next time. Thinking of getting it in nude to go under a dress or two.

This is the best shaper I have ever worn and I have worn a lot! I am 5'8" with 36" 28" 38" measurements and the small is the size I get. I wish it came in XS, but I bet that would squish my chest too much!!! I also learned that if you machine wash and/or dry them, they will stretch out so after going through two of them, I finally figured out that handwashing and flat drying them was the only way to keep them taut!!

I've purchase partial pieces before (bottoms only with tummy control or back smoothing). Those other pieces are now all being donated away. This is the only one I will ever wear. At first, I hesitated to put this one in my Zappos cart because of the cost but with no more time to shop before an upcoming wedding, I was forced to buy it and rely on Zappos who always come through with fast delivery! I'm so glad I did. This piece is well made and well worth it!! At first when I put it on, I thought it wasn't going to fit. It feels very restrictive as you're putting it on (I am 5'4", 140 lb and ordered a Medium). However, once on, it's very comfortable and feels supporting not restricting.

This is a thicker material with more shaping than the Spanx Thinstincts, which I also ordered and returned in favor of this item.

I needed this, in more ways than one!, for a dress. Unlike other reviewers I stuck to my size, medium, and am glad I did. I cannot imagine wrestling into a smaller size. The medium fit perfectly and was comfortable to wear under a long dress in summer. Not a fan of the crotch slit created so one can use the toilet - I don’t think it works all that well and prefer to undress. Great bodysuit overall, regardless.

This bodysuit is a little tricky to put on, but once on, it's very comfortable and smooth. Necessary evil for the 53 year old muffin top.

These Spanx are AMAZING!! I love wearing it under dresses to smooth things out and help hide bra and panty lines. Definitely recommend!

OMG this runs super small! I ordered a small in other shape suits and was fine. This one would have done internal damage if I got it on. It appeared to be built well and I liked the fabric but it runs small. I am usually a size 4-6 and smalls or XS fit be best but this small was way too small.

I returned this item and, unfortunately, I still did not get refund from 2017 because the item was not scanned at warehouse. I couldn't even imagine that I can't trust the Company's return process but now I can see clearly that refunds can be a big problem and customers have to check refunds very carefully. Extremely disappointed.

Im 5’4 and weigh 175. I bought the XL because I read that this runs really tight and it really does. I couldn’t even get this piece to go past mid thigh. Way too tight to even get on so it’s going back.
