Very good quality. Only complaint is that during walking the parka is not silent since the arms make a slight rubbing noise as they touch the fabric of the body.

I bought this for the combination of warmth and waterproofness. You'd be surprised at the oddball freezing rain storms that catch one by surprise and require both attributes. The fit is literal perfection, I wish a few of their other coats, such as the Radsten would come in this fit. Conversely, I wish they'd offer the Camosun in the Black Heather of the Radsten. I use this for walking to the train station and back, and any other outdoor winter activities when inclement weather is expected. It's performed very well, no wind or water seems to penetrate the surface, and the overall warmth is good for what I've experienced, which is only down to about 25F. Need this in Black Heather, or some cool shade of grey!

This coat has some great features. Warm, waterproof, nice distribution of fill, removable hood. But I returned it for three reasons: 1 - the outer fabric is "crunchy-sounding" when rubbing against itself. 2- the collar is very high and sits up against your cheek. 3 - the shape of the jacket is a bit of an hourglass feel, which felt a little too tailored for my taste. If OK with these points, this is a terrific coat.

I bought this for about a year now and the Camosun is holding up very well. It is warm enough for Vancouver winter and the Goretex does a good job in keeping the rain and wind on the outside (though a bit louder than I would have liked). It is a light, warm, and stylish parka. I did not have issues with the hood, but then I rarely use it. Although it was oddly shaped and sit weird in the beginning from being folded for too long, it fluffed into shape and position after hanging/wearing for a month or so. This parka fits slim. I am 5'8", 140 lbs, wears 36S suits, and the XS fits perfectly with room to layer a thick high neck sweater.

Nice jacket so far! The fit is great. I'm 5'9" weighing 190lbs and the large fits well. Kept me pretty cozy in single digit temps with a base layer and hefty sweater underneath. The range of motion in the jacket is surprisingly nice and moving in it feels natural without any noticeable restrictions. It is noticeable that when fully zipped and sitting down, the zipper appears to crease near the hip. I haven't owned it long enough to see how it holds up but so far so good. A few cons I noticed: - The additional material around the wrist cuffs. I really wish they would have had an adjustable wrist cuff to give it a cleaner look. Tucking in the extra material gave it a much better look and feel in my opinion. - The goretex material also makes quite a bit of noise as others have mentioned. However, it's not terrible for city commutes or taking the dog out for a walk. - The hand pockets are only fleeced on the side nearest to the body. Really wished they would have fleeced both sides of the inner pockets.

I am 5-10 average build, 145lbs ish. I bought size small recently December 2020. It fit me loosely, not trim fit at all for me. I can wear a tank top, with a thermo, a hoodie soft shell, and still to be able to move freely (which I like). Or I can just throw the parka over with a thermo on the go, at least I have the flexibility. The hood fit me pretty big, and the draw strings doesn't hold in place well when you try to tighten the string to make the hood smaller. You can fit a helmet under. I guess this is good if you planning to wear skiing. I have no issue with the hood come off easily as others mentioned, assuming they fixed this issue with newer model. This parka is a little long for me, but that is just preference. Others might like that the long style. The two front pockets only have fleece toward of the jacket, so only your palms would be warm but the top of your hands won't be. The outside face material looks durable, It does make noise as you move but it doesn't bother as much. My Canada Goose make noise too but not as loud. Those are minors imperfection about the parka. Longevity still unknown, because I just got it recently. Overall, I am happy with the parka. It not over expensive, and it seems well build on first impression. It is not as warm as my Canada Goose parka or non parka. I find Canada Goose just too warm, sometime annoying. This is perfect for winter in Philly, Pa.

Got this jacket for my boyfriend, he's 5'7 170lbs, stalky body type. Wide chest but short torso, the S fit perfect. I was worried that it would be too long but it's enough to cover half the butt. Like the fitted style of the jacket, was debating whether to get this one of the therme. Since the therme is 1.5inches longer, I went with the Camsun. Overall, my boyfriend enjoys it, said it's quite warm and can double up as a ski jacket. The cons: VERY loud material, only fleeced on one side of pockets (???).

I have had this for a couple of years now and I am happy with it. Its warm and comfortable. Its great around town but have also used it winter camping and skiing when it gets really cold. I have had two issues with it, the zipper breaking, and the hood snaps not sturdy enough so the hood kept falling off. Fortunately Arcteryx repaired it. I also think they fixed it with the newer models. I have the Medium model and it fits great, with some room underneath to layer when it gets really cold. I have 37 inch chest, 33 inch sleeve length. I am 5 foot11 and 150pounds

I bought the Camosun from an on line retailer (Trekinn) 2 weeks ago and came on time and in perfect condition. The problem is with the fitting of the garment and the rather confusing description of Arcteryx. The wording is such that one can easily misinterpret it and construe that the fit is slim. Well, people let me tell you, this parka is NOT slim fit. It runs true to size if not slightly large. What I'm suspecting that Arcteryx meant to communicate is that one, when purchasing a Camosun parka, should try it first and make sure that the jacket is close to the body (body-forming?), otherwise one will not be able to take full advantage of its warming capability. The problem is that as I bought it from an on line retailer who subsequently did not have one size smaller, I'm stuck with a good jacket that is rather big on me. When I contacted Arcteryx, they responded promptly, but refused to give me that extra service that would not have cost them a penny (I offered to pay the 2-way shipping cost). Of course they are not obliged to do such a thing as I had bought the jacket from an independent retailer, but it would have been a good and responsible service as the reason for me buying one size larger was their confusing description. The other issue of Camosun is that it is a bit noisy. What I mean is that the outer fabric tends to produce noise when moving. It's not that bad and may be it will fade away with time. Otherwise it is stylish and warm (OK not enough for Arctic temperatures, but adequate for most other conditions).

I've had this jacket for a little over a week now, here are some of my thoughts so far. Jacket is warm, looks great and very functional. Runs slightly larger than other Arc'teryx products of the same size. Hood is great and do not see the snaps being any sort of issue like so many reviews have stated. The one negative I do agree on is the pockets, they are a little small and more importantly they are not very warm, it would have been nice to see them go on the inside of the insulation to keep the hands warm instead of just inside the shell. No double zip is fine, no issues when getting in and out of car. Only addition I would like to see would have been a mesh drop pocket on the inside.

I really like this coat. Warm, wind and waterproof for those cold and wet days. The hard shell fabric is a bit stiff but it does its job. Don't know if it will soften over time or if this is simply a characteristic of the GoreTex fabric used. The sleeves are long enough and the cut is not restrictive so movement is easy. I'm 6'5 & 195 lbs and wear a 17.5" 36" shirt or a 44/46 long jacket. The XL provides a trim an comfortable fit with enough room for a base layer and a light sweatshirt or quarter zip.

Highly recommend this jacket. It works great in the wintertime in Boston and protects against the wind. The only complaint is that the hood is attached via snaps, and frequently gets pulled off. It is a perfect lifestyle jacket for the city and commuting, but with the guarantee that you will stay warm. Lightweight for traveling too!

I've owned this jacket for just under a year now and it's performed really well except for the hood. It just doesn't go with the jacket, doesn't sit right (flopping to one side of my back or the other) when not on my head, and when it is on my head, it doesn't stay in place. That is my number one annoyance. I really wish I'd gotten the Therme instead - same jacket but an integrated hood. Folks considering the camosun, try out the therme as well. P.S. Arcteryx, if my warranty is still on - could I trade up to the Therme?

I love this jacket for it's warmth but am minutes away from literally super gluing the hood buttons together as they come apart constantly when hanging the jacket on any coat hook by hood (which is the only practical option). Huge design oversight, I just don't get how they couthave been happy with that in design.

I bought this as a walking jacket for the winters in Calgary This jacket is great in so many ways. +It feels very warm, fits perfectly, and looks elegant enough to wear to the office. -When it comes to hood, it is terrible with lack of adjustment options and limiting vision when you turn your head. With a few changes Arc'teryx may be able to introduce in the new version of this jacket it will most likely get 5 stars from me.

I bought this coat about a year ago and it has been fantastic in keeping me warm. It is very comfortable for a large coat but doesn't feel too big and puffy. My only issue with it is the 3 pressed studs that hold the hood in place were useless and the hood kept detaching. I have since lost the hood as it came loose whilst stored in a coat store and have never seen it since. I would highly recommend some form of zip connection instead.

This jacket is almost perfect. It is warm, fits great, and is made really well. The only things that I would change would be to include a two way zipper, as other reviewers have mentioned, and changing the type of Gore Tex used. For an everyday jacket it is too crinkly and loud when it rubs against itself.

I would have rated this jacket a 5 star except for the fact that it does not have a two way zipper. A jacket this long needs this.

Great parka. I'm 5'8 145lbs and the small was too fitted on me, I couldn't wear a hoodie underneath. Had to get a M which gave me enough room to layer. This parka is extremely warm and would work for -25C weather. However I melted wearing it indoors for any more than 5 minutes. You really don't need to layer with this it's that warm. I initially got a S but the chest, arms and armholes were way too tight. Got an M and it's great.
