Chosen because 1)Sorel is very comfy 2) I needed a new autumn lightweight boot 3)cool herringbone tweed side panels. I generally go with Keen, Merril, or Sorel for outdoor footwear. PRO: Lightweight materials, (so far) no rubbing areas, mixed materials that are unique, VERY WELL MADE with smart detail stitches. CONS: wider then expected (so I will have to wear very thick socks or maybe I will exchange for a 6, the cross belt detail doesn't adjust or provide added support, which makes it tricky to lace up and what happens a year down the road when it slackens? Since shoes is wide, I'll probably have to get an insole - not much padding or support inherent in shoe!

Very cute boot! True to size, great quality and just as pictured. I am really happy with them and will be keeping them....but....I do have a concern that the strap that wraps around will stretch out and hang at some point and there is no fix for that and also the toe does point upward a little bit so I hope that does not become an issue if I where them for a long period of time.

As always, Sorel boots never fail to impress me. And as always, I can't decide between sizes; 8 feels a little big, but 7.5 is a little too close to the toes. It never fails that I get both sizes and decide to keep the 8. Hope that helps someone with sizing. I'm marking it as "feels a half size larger" but you might be like me and find the extra space more comfortable than a true fit. That being said, these boots are fantastic. Have already gotten a half dozen compliments and I've only worn them out once. These boots look good with both boot cut pants/jeans and skinny jeans/pants. You can tuck the skinny jeans inside the boot or stretch them over the boot. Looks stylish both ways, nice and versatile. And super comfortable!

This is a great boot and I love the look. It runs large and a little wide. With thick socks it works great! Glad I returned for a 1/2 size smaller.

The Slimboot is exhausting to take on and off. The stylish cross-strap does not loosen. I'm bummed.

Great boot. Comfortable and stylish. My foot runs a little wide and I have a high arch, and these shoes fit comfortably, even with a thicker sock. Also, we just had our first snow, and they made walking outside much easier.

This boot was comfortable, and very true to size with medium-weight socks (for me, anyway). However, it immediately became apparent that having to deal with loosening the lacing along the shaft in order to put the boot on, and then tightening it all up again to wear it would be a real hassle. If I really loved the boot, it would have been worth it. Part of what I didn't like about it was that the toe box swooped up rather than laying flat against the floor. I just didn't love it enough to keep it.

Ordered these boots for a trip to Portland. They are very cute and comfortable once you finally get your foot in. The straps DO NOT unbuckle making the laces useless. The boots are almost impossible to get on and off. They would be perfect if not for the fake buckle. Very sadly sending back.

These were my first pair of Sorel's and since then I've added 3 more pairs to my collection. I live in these boots and my other sorels; great comfort for all day wear running around on my feet and hold up to wet Maine winters

Great boot! I've walked around in these through the city and use them to walk through rain, snow, and dry terrain. I leave them untied. The sizing is perfect. I really like the heel fashionable and efficient.

I love these boots! In addition to being waterproof for the slushy, wet winters in North Carolina, these are so comfortable and warm! And adorable with leggings, skinny jeans - pretty much anything. They are not too high and they are not heavy on my feet. I am a size 6½ in dress shoes and 7 in casual shoes. I ordered a 7. They fit perfectly with a little extra room for socks. I have slightly narrow feet. I completely disagree with the reviewers that stated having a tough time getting them on and off. Like any boots, just loosen the laces to get on and off. There is plenty of room. I highly recommend these!

Very hipster worthy boot, super comfy and great for days when you need snow/rain protection but don't want the weight of a heavy hardcore snow boot. This runs VERY large, I had to go one full size down, and I have flat/wide feet too, and that's also wearing thick sneaker socks too!

I use these boots when I travel north. I originally bought half a size smaller based on reviews but I returned them and ordered my actual size. The smaller size did fit but you want some room in your boots for air circulation to keep your feet warm. They are stylish and comfortable. They are great boots!

Adorable, comfortable rain/winter boot. True to size fit. Roomy enough to wear a heavy sock in the cold. Definitely would recommend!

I own 4 pair of Sorels and these are by far my favorite. For sizing, they do run about a 1/2 size larger, but if you wear them in colder temps, you will need room for thick socks or doubling up on socks. They are slightly wider than a "medium" width as well. As far as others stating they are difficult to get into, and you have to loosen the strap across the boot, don't! All you have to do is loosen up the laces really well, leave the strap CLOSED, and slide your foot in. The strap never has to come apart. I have worn mine with skinny jeans, leggings, socks exposed a bit, leg warmer's, totally adorable!

I love these. They are so comfortable and warm. I have not worn other shoes this winter since I purchased them. I purchased my normal size and have plenty of room and I do wear heavier socks with them. My favorite way to wear them is unlaced.

These boots are great! Comfy and roomy enough for big socks. Grippy sole. Unlike other reviewers, I've had no problem at all with the buckle that goes around the front.

These boots are both adorable and functional. As you would expect from Sorel, they are high quality boots. As other reviewers have mentioned, there is a fixed strap across the laces, and you will have to negotiate around this. I went down one-half size, and still fit wool socks comfortably. I don't buy many shoes at full price, but couldn't resist these!
