Really, really wanted these boots to work. They are adorable, functional and perfect for Minnesota winters. Unfortunately the ball area of the boot is so tight that I can't wear even regular socks with them. I would say I have a very average foot, typically wear a 7 in Sorel and never have a problem with width. I tried the 7.5 in the Sorel Major, and it slipped all over the place, but still the same extreme tightness in the same spot. Super bummed.

In my experience, Sorel tends to run a bit wider and a half-size longer than other casual shoes and boots, and the Major Low in Black/Wet Sand was no exception. Definitely size down a half size if you can. I'm returning because as with many ankle booties crafted with a rigidly structured upper ankle, the edges of the top of this cute bootie cut into my outer ankle bones as I walked. Also there was some heel slippage as the (half-size down) toe box area fit just right on me, but the heel was too loose. Not uncommon with booties these days, so the search continues... still, thanks for making it so easy, Zappos friends! =)

I like the style and that they are flat and well supported but not clunky. Unfortunately these run narrow in the front and are roomy in the back. I tried the 10 (usual size) and 9.5. The 10 is an okay fit in the front, a bit narrow for me, but sloppy loose in the heel, both behind the heel and to either side. Thick socks don't help. The 9.5 is too narrow/tight in the front and still somewhat loose in the heel. I should note that I've noticed this same fit issue with the two other pairs of ankle boots I have tried (Sam Edelman Pettys and BP something), so maybe this is a typical issue with the style of shoe.

SO COMFORTABLE. I've gotten compliments on these every day I've worn them. They've got that cute/edgy look to them. Can wear them to work and out in the muck too.

Comfy, easy on and off. Only thing is the zipper should be on the inside for easier on and off.

These are the best boots Ive ever owned. These boots are ridiculously comfortable. Great arch support. Comfy and beautiful. Easy zip up. I ordered 1/2 size up since I have wide feet and they are perfect. I bought a second pair in fear they will stop making them! These are by far the best boot purchase Ive ever made. Only wish they were waterproof. Ive worn them in the rain but wouldnt in huge rainstorms.

A great low boot- casual but still nice. Extremely comfortable out of the box and great at keeping my feet warm on cold snowy days.

These are super comfy and left my feet warm all winter. They pair great with tights and a dress!

I LOVE this shoe! It is so comfortable and I like the look with the partial suede, partial embossed leather. I am actually thinking about buying this in one of the other colors.

I wear a 1/2 size larger to accommodate my custom insoles, the 8 1/2 fits perfectly. It is loose in the heel as other reviews have stated, however, that is to be expected with this style. I would say they are bit narrow in the forefoot but not extremely so, as I'm sure this is intended so that they fit properly when fully broken in. I would normally take a wide width in size 8, these feel perfect for an 8 1/2 medium. They are beautifully constructed and feel like they will last a long time. They look good with bootcut and skinny jeans.

Well made, fits true to size or slightly larger. At first appears snug in width but adjusted nicely with wear. Very comfortable and great in winter weather.

These are super comfortable and great shoes for slushy weather. Easy on/off. They look cute with rolled jeans.

I usually wear an 11 1/2. The 11 fit great so order down if questioning size. The toe box is a little narrow but has stretched some.

Super cute with skinny jeans. I liked them so much I bought them in black and brown. Love Sorel and I find they fit my size 11 feet well.

These are comfortable and roomy. This makes them good for thicker socks. They zip on the outside but I don't mind that. The ankle has lots of room and is not fitted. This works for me since I'm using them to play outside with the kids and walk the dog. I also wear them to run errands since they have the bonus of being stylish as well. I usually wear a 7 but got these in 7.5 for socks. I'd say if you have narrow feet get them true to size.

Smart looking boot. Black leather on heel of boot has a washed out/broken in appearance which contrasts nicely with dark black material on the front of the boot. Versatile shoe that looks good with skinny jeans, work pants and boot cut jeans. Comfortable to wear. Slipped some in heel, but was fine with thicker socks on.

I absolutely love these! I knew these were the right shoes the moment that I tried them on. They do run slightly large - so put a thin Dr. Scholl's insert under the insole and they fit great! They are so comfortable. I wore them the next three days - all day. That was awesome. They felt true to size with just a little bit extra room - but not half a size worth of room. I am a size 16 and 53 years old.

So comfortable! So cute! They work great with skinny jeans. Exactly what I wanted. They are a little loose (slide on the heel), so they might not work for a hiking shoe, but I wear them for 8-10 hours a day working retail, and they are wonderful.

These boots are about half a size larger than normal. I wear an 8 normally and purchased a 7½ and they fit perfectly! I love them!

These boots were exactly what I was looking for to wear with boyfriend jeans. I live in snow country and the cute "fashion" booties never have the right soles for snow and ice. The color works well with black, brown and grey. Very comfortable from the first wearing. They run a little big but that's perfect for a thicker sock.

These colors work with everything from grey skinny jeans to boyfriend jeans. I love them. They are so comfortable and versatile. I get lots of compliments!

These are super CUTE! I was hesitant to even buy these after reading the reviews .. but I am so glad I did buy them! I went a half size bigger and they fit perfect!

OMG. I love these boots. I wear an 8 and sometimes order an 8 1/2 in sneakers but I did order an 8 in this bootie and it fit perfectly. They are gorgeous, hot and just what I've been looking for. So comfortable while being so stylish.

Let me start by saying, I wear size 6.5-7 and was extremely nervous about the sizing of these shoes from the previous posts. I ended up trying on both sizes. The 7 was easier to slide on, however, movement almost felt like I was a little girl trying on her daddy's shoes. Too much space in the toe box, the overall sizing was just, overwhelmingly large. Sadness washed over me and then I realized I got the 6.5 too! So I went with my trusty "true size" and admittedly sliding them on the first time was difficult, stiff. Once my foot was in, my goodness! They are beautiful and comfortable and I even rather then without socks. The removable insert is soft, the shaft is starting to loosen up, the color is beautiful and I have gotten so many compliments on these sweeties! I am happy to say these are NOT going back. I am in love!
