I bought these thinking they were the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez style, she the Michael Jordan of populism in the modern USA. But alas, they are the Hernan Cortes style, he who destroyed the Aztec empire in the name of Spain. Although Nike is behind Colin Kaepernick, their support of European invaders makes my feet burn inside of these.

I love shoes ( sneakers are my weakness), i wear 6.5 or 7 , based on previous reviews I ordered a 6.5 and they are a good fit. I also have a narrow foot and the width is perfect for me. I like the nylon, it’s more comfy and lighter than leather, yet not as breathable as mesh, I live in a cold climate and I hate the drafty feel you get with the breathable mesh styles. These sneakers are good for walking around, running errands, etc, but I don’t think they are that great for running

Fantastic throw-back style. Very comfortable, once you get used to the retro fit - there is a lot more cushion in the sole under the front of the foot than most modern shoes. These are cut rather narrow, which worked for me, but probably wouldn't be good for a wider foot.

I like Nikes. I don't love Nikes. But I love these. They're really comfortable and are about as cute as you can get! I remember having them way back in royal blue and I was pretty show-off-y whenever I wore them. Have the same plans this time. : ) I have the navy/white: true to size, I'd say... maybe a tiny bit long. I have a narrower foot - narrow heel. Giving thought to the bright pink ones now!

I went by other reviews and ordered 1/2 size smaller and they didn’t fit, too small.

So, these are my 6th pair of Cortez that I’ve purchased this year, and one of two that are nylon. I immediately LOVED them, got a ton of compliments and the fit was perfect. However, on the third day of wear I noticed the nylon splitting away from the suede toe box. Then I noticed the nylon splitting on the same shoe but the other side. I contacted Zappos and they sent me a replacement pair the next day. While I was disappointed in Nike’s quality, I’ve never had any issues with Cortez before and Zappos just sealed the deal with their exemplary customer service. The replacements have been perfect so far, and I really do recommend Cortez in general. These hot pink ones will draw lots of attention!!

I wish I could wear these all the time. I got the pink and if they had other colors(red/green) I’d buy more. Lots of compliments and SO comfortable! Not one tiny complaint.

I love these shoes. I do a lot of walking throughout my day (6+ miles) and they are extremely comfortable. I have to dress up for work, and wearing these shoes looks so much better than clunky comfort dress shoes. I get lots of compliments on pairing them with my work outfits. They are also fun for the weekend with jeans.

These are so cute! I am a 5 or 5.5 in shoes/sneakers depending on the style. Ordered the navy with white in 5.5 and they were long on me. Unfortunately I have to return them.

Great sneaker at an affordable price. I had these in obsidian and white when I was a kid...Bought the same color here at Zappos. Loved them then, love the now!

I'm always a size 8 in Nike (even though I'm a 7 or 7.5 in most other shoe brands.) I bought the 8 here, and they are slightly larger than usual, but also pretty narrow. I think if I went a size down the narrowness would be too uncomfortable. But the slight issue with size is not a deal-breaker! I really love the classic Cortez look. I bought the fuchsia and they are SUPER bright in real life and really striking. I wouldn't buy them if you're looking for something that will get ignored. :)

I think these may work for a girl or guy, but I'm a girl and these felt like they ran a little big for me (I'm 9.5 and probably should've gotten a 9). They look a bit orthopedic to me in person, I think it's a combination of the semi-shiny cloth fabric, toe shape, and the color (it's more dingy grey than it looks in the photo). Definitely returned!
