We haven't had winter weather yet so I can't comment on how warm or waterproof they actually are. But I ordered several pairs - different styles and brands. My 10 year old son tried them all on and walked around the house. He picked these, saying they were by far the most comfortable. They look huge on him, but they fit and are comfortable. I have had the women's version of this boot for years and love them in snowy weather.

Great boot but looks huge on my son!

Got these for 9 yo son. In his words, "they're awesome." He wears them all the time and we're not anywhere near the snow usually. They work really well as rain boots too. Ordered half a size up and they fit well with a little room to grow.

These were for my grandson. He loves them.

My 11-year old daughter adores these boots. She’s been wearing them not just for outdoor/ cold weather play, but also for fashionable walk-around-town purposes. Her feet have stayed warm, which is often a challenge for her with boots. Love Sorel!

Excellent quality, warm and comfortable. These boots have a thick felt liner, which is an absolute must for a warm winter boot. The photo shown for the black color is a toddler boot, the big boy’s size boot in black which I ordered looks even better. The boots are also easy and quick to put on. That really helps when getting kids out of the door. Winter has just begun, so I can’t say how they will last, but they seem very well made and I think they will last very well. My son enjoys wearing them.

Bought these for myself which I am a womens size 8, bought the size 6 in kids and were great! Been wanting Sorels forever after reading other reviews and word of mouth of friends who love theirs!

My 10 year old son wears a 4.5 or 5 in regular athletic tennis shoes so I ordered a size 5. And, although they specifically say KIDS or JR. on box, they were enormous and shoes were actually sized like adults. I ordered a full size down (4) and they were much better. I think a 4.5 would be ideal if you want room to wear a couple of seasons. Other than the boots running super large, they are awesome.

Buying these boots was a big splurge for me, since i usually don't spend that much on kids shoes. Unfortunately, my daughter says her feet feel cold in them while playing in the snow! :(

Love the color and style, and they felt like they would keep my feet toasty on the coldest of days. However the boot was way too chunky, I felt like I was wearing clown shoes. Very wide and hard to walk in.

This boot is very stiff compared to the Yoot pac boot with nylon on shaft. My son said it was not as comfortable and clunkier than his previous pair that had nylon. Will be returning and looking for the ones with nylon.

I usually wear a women's 6.5-7 so I ordered the Big Kids 5. While it fit, it looked really bulky. They advertise a removable inner lining which I originally thought made it great out of the super cold wintery weather, but if you remove it, the shoe instantly becomes a few sizes too large so there's no point in removing it. Probably for cleaning then? It's warm though. I returned it because of the bulkiness.

Good quality and bought a size big to get an extra season out of it for my daughter. Bought 4 and she is typically a 3. The lace system works really well too for a kid boot

They keep out the water with the material and high tops. He likes them, will wear them and they have lasted so far.

Classic boot. Durable and warm.

My son loves these boots! Warm and comfortable! Sorels are the best- highly recommend!
