Having a lot of difficulty finding shoes that provide sufficient heel-to-toe offset to counter Achilles tendonitis problem. Plus wide feet, high arch and under-pronation. Tried several Brooks and Asics and these were the most comfortable out of the box, good arch support, my Achilles tendon feels the least stretched, and the sole is designed to encourage the foot not to roll out. I do wish they would make these shoes in more neutral colors (a problem with a lot of athletic shoes now). I would like a neutral black/gray pair to wear for casual outings, don't really need to look like a neon rainbow.

Ordered five different pairs of Asics running shoes ($100 or less) and after trying them all on, this style was the clear winner. The arch support and cushioning was superior to the others I tried. I have a narrow heel and felt like my foot sat deeper in this shoe. I have worn the Gel-Equation before and feel like this version is comparable to previous versions. I wear an 8.5M in a dress shoe and normally order a 9.5M in a running shoe. Surprisingly, I had to re-order for a 9M in the Asics Gel-Equation.

The Asics Gel Equation 8 was the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I have problems with plantars fasciitis. I removed the insole for my orthotic. The mesh on the toe area didn't wear well. I have 2 holes where my big toe is in the shoe after only a couple of months wear. I keep my toenails cut short, and I am very disappointed in the quality of the fabric. I rated the shoes 5 because of comfort. I wanted to change the overall stars to a 3 but could not remove the stars once they were highlighted.

I have high arches and tend to under-pronate. These shoes work well for me because they keep my foot stable without providing too much arch support.

I keep coming back to these. I'm not a big runner--more of a run/walker. They have good support and work well with my orthotics. Aren't too stiff. Note that the air holes really are air holes--might be a bit nippy outside in the winter. I marked true to size above, but that's true to size for athletic shoes, which always seem to run a half size smaller than regular shoes.

Comfortable, lots of support and a well made shoe. I have a full size 11 foot and this shoes fits it perfectly. I do wish the shoe laces came just a few inches longer.

I've been wearing these for cupl weeks now. I have a problem left foot and it aches in every shoe, especially after working out or walking but not in these!!!! Love, love love the feel, support and cushion. I normally wear a size 7.5 so I ordered a size 8 and it fits like a glove with socks. Totally worth it!

I'm very happy with this shoe. I have a wide tow box but narrower heal and this shoe works great for me. And it's cute, so how can you not like that?!

It's very very comfy and roomy! Better grip and control on my treadmill compared to my Saucony.

These shoes felt lightweight in my feet (a good thing) but they tie up nicely to give good support (a very good thing). Love the color combinations, too. Not too crazy but still fun.

Very comfortable and light weight.
Wide just where it needs to be, across the forefoot, and not in the heel, and manages to have a normal slim running shoe look overall despite fitting my 11.5 wide high-arched feet perfectly. They stop my supination/under-pronation and are a pleasure to wear all day, leaving me with more energy at the end of the day due to the excellent support.
Overall color for silver/grape/hot pink seems more white or silvery in person than the dull grey in the photo. Which I actually like better, it's more like a pair of New Balance I really liked color-wise but were for over-pronators.
I like that the laces are just long enough to tie in a neat bow and I don't have to worry about tripping over excessively long ones like on so many athletic shoes.
I also notice the laces don't constantly come undone on their own like so many other athletic shoes' seem to do, a big plus.
Very pleased and will look for these again next time I need a running-type shoe.

I love the Asics my feet never hurt when I wear them all day. Any other tennis shoes my feet would hurt at the end of the day.

These shoes seem true to size. Comfortable, no need to break in. I'm a big Asics fan. I've never had a pair that didn't wear well.

I ordered a size 6.5D. I normally wear 6D but lately Wides don't feel wide enough and ASICS seem to run smaller. I have a small heel so finding a comfortable shoe is hard. While the left foot fit okay, the right foot was too tight across the ball of my foot (it doesn't help that I have a slight bunion on my right foot). Plus there seemed to be an uncomfortable "bar" or stiffness in the sole under both balls of the foot just where I flex as I walk or run. I was really hoping to like these but sadly I am returning them so I can try to find a shoe that is more comfortable.

If you count on the very last set of lace holes, as I do because of narrow heels, the laces in these shoes will not go through all of the holes and leave you enough to tie your shoes.

I normally wear a 5.5B but have to order 6B in this shoe. It has a nice, wide toebox but does seem a little narrow mid-foot that looser lacing can fix. It is still a perfect walking/running shoe if you supinate/under-pronate (if the heel of your shoes wear on the outside). I average 12,000 supinated steps a day and the wrong shoes or old shoes can make my metatarsalgia and plantar fascitis act up, so that every step from the first step can be quite painful. These shoes alleviate the pain in less than 24 hours. Not a bad price either and that makes up for the wacky colors. I am post-50 and comfort and mobility for the long haul is the key now. Take care of your feet!

If you love pink and purple this is the shoe. Colors are vibrant. It wasn't what I was looking for but they were on sale. The shoe had a little too much support structure for my taste. Overall the shoe is comfortable and keeps up with the Asics quality. Would definitely recommend for anyone who likes more support and structure in their running shoe.

I absolutely love these shoes. Bought the exact same shoe over a year ago to wear on my daily walks. I liked them so much I bought another pair. Would definitely recommend if you want a comfortable, durable pair of shoes.

I bought these as more of an every day shoe and for walking and biking. So far, they are exactly what I wanted. They are very comfortable with great arch support and a good width in the toe, which are the reasons I continue to buy Asics. I went a half size up based on other reviews (which were really inconsistent and therefore confusing), and it was the right choice. I'm usually a size 8, but an 8 1/2 fit well. This was the same story with the last pair of Asics I purchased too. The dazzling blue color looks great too!

I already have a pair of these shoes and loved them so much I wanted another pair. I like the fact that they're a wide width and like the over all styling of the shoe. I use them as my casual walking shoes.

These shoes fit and felt great right out of the box.i have a lot of difficulty with finding the right shoe. I over supinate when walking and these shoes are suppose to help with that. So far they are super comfortable. I wish they had more colors in my size, I would love to get another pair.

I love these shoes! I work out two or three times a week on an elliptical or arc trainer and these shoes give great support. I have wide feet, high arches and slight supination and these give me total stability and comfort.

I bought these to replace the Nikes I had for the last 3 years. I needed them for everyday wear and at my part-time job where I am on my feet for 4-7 hours a day. My right foot, especially in the toes, is wider than my left, and my Nikes used to cut off the circulation in my right foot until they were broken in, and by now they have a whole in the mesh from my toes pushing through the side.
I bought these in the same size and I loved them from the moment I put them on. They're comfortable, feel like a perfect fit on BOTH feet, and have great arch support. I usually have to put special "work" insoles in all my shoes, and I might still have to for these because after a couple of hours on my feet at work the bottoms of my feet were still sore, but for normal every day wear, I definitely wouldn't need to. They're much more supportive and comfortable than most shoes with the original insoles.
I used to have a pretty strong loyalty to Nike, but I'm definitely switching to Asics from now on!

Have been a very loyal Asics customer for the past 10 years. Always order half size up from street shoes when ordering Asics. Got the ok to start running again after two ankle surgeries. Looking for something with a little more structure, but wanting to stay with a neutral shoe. These fit the mark. The only issue I've found is the toe box tapers too quickly and causes toes to be squished. Maybe order a full size up for this particular shoe? Returning for 1/2 size larger.
